Mumbai, July 22 - Prathyangira Cinemas has acquired the distribution rights to release Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao's hugely-anticipated horror-comedy Stree 2 in North America. Box Office: 'Bad Newz' Third Day/First Sunday Early Estimates

Mumbai, July 21 - Dharma Productions' comedy drama Bad Newz has a good first weekend at the domestic box office with close to 30 crores net mark after a jump of 5%-10% on Sunday.## According to the early estimates, the film scored in the range of 10.75-11.25 crores net collection on its third day/first Sunday, pushing the total collection to around 29.50 crores in 3 days. It is the fifth biggest opening weekend for a Bollywood title of 2024.## The jump on Sunday is pretty flat or limited which is often the case with multiplex movies, plus there is a strong holdover in Kalki 2898 AD which is ruling mass centres as well as multiplex. Bad Newz needs to hold well on its first Monday which is crucial for the sake of its long legs at the box office.## Overall, the opening weekend total of around 30 crores net is respected but the real game for the movie begins on Monday which will determine where it will go. Mumbai, July 21 - The hugely-anticipated comedy entertainer Son of Sardaar 2, starring Bollywood star Ajay Devgn, has commenced filming on July 20 in Edinburgh, Scotland. The movie is being directed by Punjabi filmmaker Vijay Kumar Arora and produced by Ajay Devgn in association with Jio Studios.## It was recently reported that actress Mrunal Thakur would be playing the female lead, replacing Sonakshi Sinha from the original movie. Sanjay Dutt also joins the returning cast from the first movie with Pankaj Tripathi and Kubbra Sait reportedly joining the cast as new members. ## SOS2 is the sequel to 2012's Son of Sardaar which itself was a remake of the 2010 Telugu film Maryada Ramanna, directed by SS Rajamouli. Mumbai, July 20 - After taking the career-best start for Vicky Kaushal with 8.30 crores net, comedy-drama Bad Newz is seeing a jump of around 20% on its second day with collection around to the double-digit score. ## On its first Saturday, the Anand Tiwari's directorial venture scored an estimated 9.75-10.25 crores net collection, taking the total to around 18+ crores in two days. The 3-day opening weekend is expected to be around 30 crores net which is a fantastic result for the movie. ## The film's biz is being driven by Delhi NCR while other areas are performing decently. Bad Newz is more of an urban so the mass centres are on the lower side which is expected. The opening weekend is looking in a much better position than 2-3 weeks back but it will eventually come down to Monday to see where the movie will go. ## The word of mouth for the film is on the positive side so one can expect Bad Newz to hold well on Monday and going forward. Mumbai, July 20 - Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh who was last seen in Dharma Productions' Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani in July 2023, is teaming up with URI director Aditya Dhar for his next film, set against the backdrop of Indian Intelligence Agencies. It marks the duo's first collaboration.## Recently, it was revealed that Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, R Madhavan, and Akshaye Khanna had joined Ranveer to play key roles. Now, according to the report by Pinkvilla, Aditya Dhar and his team are gearing up to kickstart the filming on July 25. ## The first schedule of the yet-untitled film will take place in Thailand, where most of the intel network interacts with each other. This will be followed by the next schedules in India and UAE. It will be shot over a 6-month-period and hit the big screen in the 2nd half of 2025.## The film is set in the golden era of Indian Intelligence Agencies and is said to be based on some incredible true events from the history books of R&AW.## Ranveer Singh is excited to venture into the new world of agents in the film which is expected to be announced soon. Final Trailer of 'Deadpool and Wolverine' Released

Mumbai, July 19 - Ahead of its global opening next weekend, Marvel Studios has unveiled the final trailer of the highly-anticipated Deadpool and Wolverine starring Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman in the titular roles. ## Directed by Shawn Levy, the third Deadpool instalment unveiled the full look at Lady Deadpool who is rumoured to be played by Taylor Swift or Blake Lively or someone else that only Marvel knows till the movie finally hits the big screens on July 26. ## The hype shooter trailer also confirmed the appearance of Dafne Keen, who memorably played the child mutant X-23 opposite Hugh Jackman in 2017's Logan, which was supposed to be Jackman's final outing as his iconic X-Men character, until he agreed to play Wolverine once again in the Deadpool 3 which is now Deadpool & Wolverine. ## Deadpool 3 is intended to be the 34th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) and a sequel to Deadpool (2016) and Deadpool 2 (2018). It is the first R-rated movie to be released by Disney. In the film, the Time Variance Authority (TVA) pulls Deadpool from his quiet life and sets him on a mission with Wolverine that will change the history of the MCU.## In India, Deadpool and Wolverine will be released in English, Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil, on July 26.## ## Stay tuned...
