Shruti Haasan Joins Superstar Rajinikanth's 'Coolie' With Director Lokesh Kanagaraj As Shoot Begins
Chennai, July 6 - One of the most anticipated Tamil movies in the making, superstar Rajinikanth's action thriller film Coolie has started filming on July 5, the makers officially confirmed the development on social media. ## The movie is directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and produced by Kalanithi Maran under the banner of Sun Pictures. As the shoot of the movie has commenced, actress Shruti Haasan has been confirmed as one of the female cast as she will reportedly play the role of Rajinikanth's sister. ## Shruti Haasan herself confirmed her casting in Coolie with a picture from the sets of the film on Instagram which she deleted later. It will be the first time she will star alongside the legendary actor. The first schedule for the film commenced on July 5th at Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad. ## As known to all, Coolie marks the maiden collaboration between Rajinikanth and director Lokesh Kanagaraja who last directed Thalapathy Vijay's Leo in the Lokesh Cinematic Universe.
