Hyderabad, January 22 - Following the massive success of the superhero movie Hanuman, director Prasanth Varma has officially announced its sequel titled Jai Hanuman. The sequel was teased in the climax of the first movie and its mega success ensured the imminent development. ## The film was officially announced on the historic occasion of Shri Ram Mandir Pran Prathistha with the first look poster. The poster shows Lord Hanuman bowing down to Lord Shri Ram and it is in sync with the mood of the nation at the moment.## The sequel will solely focus on Lord Hanuman, and as per the reports, a top hero will play the role of Hanuman while Teja Sajja who played the lead role in the first movie, will also reprise his character in Jai Hanuman. Mumbai, January 21 - Superstar Aamir Khan is all set to start his next film in February this year. The actor was last seen in "Lal Singh Chaddha" (2022) which failed badly at the box office. After taking a break from acting for some time, Aamir confirmed his next film last year. ## During the media interaction, the Dangal star confirmed that his next film is titled Sitaare Zameen Par, to be directed by RS Prasanna. The pre-production on the same has been going on for some time now, and according to Pinkvilla, the film will go on floors on February 2. ## "He (Aamir Khan) has finally zeroed down on his look for the film and has done several reading sessions with the ensemble cast. It's going to be a marathon schedule for Sitaare Zameen Par and the actor has allotted 70 to 80 working days on the film. With a lot of time invested in pre-production, this would be among the fastest films that Aamir would deliver to the audience", says the report. ## Actress Genelia D'Souza will reportedly play the female lead role in "Sitaare Zameen Par" which will be produced by Aamir Khan Productions. The movie was announced to be released during the Christmas 2024 weekend. ## Meanwhile, Aamir Khan's production venture, "Lahore 1947", starring Sunny Deol and directed by Rajkumar Santoshi is also getting ready to go on floors on February 12. Mumbai, January 20 - Bollywood star Ranbir Kapoor and director Sandeep Reddy Vanga's A-rated action drama Animal, after debuting on December 1, 2023, proved to be one of the biggest Indian blockbusters of all time, grossing over 900 crores at the worldwide box office. ## Animal is currently in its 8th week and its theatrical run coming close to an end. The post-theatrical streaming rights of the film were bagged by Netflix, and as per the latest reports, Animal will be released on January 26 on the streamer in Hindi along with the dubbed versions of Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Tamil languages. ## As reported earlier, Animal is expected to stream on Netflix with an extended runtime of around 3 hours and 30 minutes, which is 8-9 minutes extra from its theatrical runtime. The trailer showcased the underlying chemistry between Shahid and Kriti, and it is loaded with fun moments involving romance and comedy. The trailer received a unanimous positive reception from the audience. ## In the first 24 hours, the fun-filled trailer of the film scored 45+ million views across all platforms. Mumbai, January 19 - Bollywood star Hrithik Roshan's aerial action drama Fighter, directed by Siddharth Anand, has been rated U/A by the Central Board of Film Certification. Also starring Deepika Padukone and Anil Kapoor, the film is scheduled to release on January 25. ## Fighter was censored on January 19 with an approved theatrical runtime of 166 minutes (2 hours and 46 minutes). It marks Hrithik and Siddharth Anand's third film together after Bang Bang and War while this is the first time Hrithik and Deepika have come together. ## The official plot of the film reads, "With the militant activities growing out of control along the Line of Control, Air Headquarters decides to form a special unit called Air Dragons at the Air Force base in Srinagar. Mumbai, January 19 - Sunny Deol as Tara Singh will be returning for the third round after Zee Studios reportedly green-lit the threequel to the mega-blockbuster period action drama franchise, Gadar. It all began in 2021 when Sunny Deol and director Anil Sharma teamed up for "Gadar: Ek Prem Katha" which went on to become the biggest Indian blockbuster of that time. ## 22 years later, the team of Gadar reunited for its sequel, "Gadar 2: The Katha Continues" and scripted history with it. The movie went on to gross close to 700 crores at the worldwide box office and became one of the biggest blockbusters of all time. The mega success of Gadar 2 ensured that there would be the third film in the series and it is happening. ## Though it was already reported that director Anil Sharma trying the crack the idea Gadar 3, and according to Pinkvilla, the filmmaker has finally locked the basic idea and Zee Studios has green-lit the same. It is said that the first round of paperwork has been done between Zee Studios, Anil Sharma, and Sunny Deol. ## The franchise has been set against the backdrop of the Indo-Pak conflict and Gadar 3 will follow the same though the stakes will be higher than before. "A lot of writing will happen to develop the idea, but the team has got the direction of where the story of Tara Singh, Sakina, and Jeete heads from here on", the report says. ## Director Anil Sharma has himself confirmed the development and said that he would start working on the Gadar 3 script after completing his upcoming film featuring his son Utkarsh Sharma and Nana Patekar. The film is expected to go on floors in the second half of 2025. ## Sunny Deol, meanwhile, recently concluded the shooting for his next titled "Safar".
