Telangana Film Chamber Requests To Telugu Producers To Stop OTT Releases Until October

Hyderabad, July 3, 2021: Telangana film chamber of commerce has expressed concern over Telugu producers opting for the direct-to-digital release of their films amid the covid-19 pandemic. As per reports, one of the leading production houses of Telugu industry, Suresh Productions is reportadly considering its most-awaited films like Narappa, Virata Parvam, among others for direct OTT release. ## Raising concern over the latest development in the Telugu industry, the Telangana film chamber has requested the producers to stop the OTT release of their films until October. The film chamber is hopeful that theaters will be fully operational by October this year. The film chamber has warned them for a future course of action if producers continue to release their films on OTT. ## However, the chamber headed by Hon. Secretary Sunil Narang, said that "If the theaters do not open by October, you can consider OTT release". This decision has been taken keeping the larger interest of the entire Telugu Film industry, which has been hit hard by the covid-19 pandemic. ## The film chamber also appealed to the Andhra Pradesh Government to immediately make a decision about ticket rates. "The survival of theaters is at stake with such low rates. Theaters will close and many will lose employment". SS Rajamouli's RRR To Release As Scheduled Without Any Further Delay; Shoot Resumes On July 10

Hyderabad, July 2, 2021: SS Rajamouli's period action drama film, RRR, is not going to be delayed anymore. The magnum opus has been planned for a grand theatrical release on October 13 this year in 5 Indian languages, and there is no change in the release date. ## Recently, RRR makers gave an official update that apart from two songs, the shoot of Jr. NTR and Ram Charan fronted has wrapped up. Now, it is said the final leg will commence from July 10 as the entire film has been planned to wrap up by the first week of August. For the two remaining songs, Alia Bhatt is also expected to join Ram Charan and NTR in Hyderabad. ## According to Pinkvilla, the writer of the film, KV Vijayendra Prasad, who is the father of SS Rajamouli, has confirmed that RRR is well on track for its scheduled release date which is October 13 this year. Jr. NTR and Ram Charan have already completed the dubbing for 2 languages and will finish dubbing for the rest of the other languages. Hyderabad, July 1, 2021: Ravi Teja has commenced shooting for his 68th film today (July 1) in Hyderabad. It is said to be a unique thriller film in which Ravi Teja will play a never-seen-before role. Directed by debutante Sarath Mandava, the story of the film is reportadly inspired by real-life incidents. ## Majili (2019) actress Divyansha Kaushik has been cast to play the female lead opposite Teja in this yet-untitled film. The movie is being produced by Sudhakar Cherukuri of SLV Cinemas LLP. The first schedule takes place in an aluminum factory in Hyderabad with Ravi Teja and other prominent cast members, and a few key scenes are slated to be finished. ## The makers of the film have released an announcement first look poster which gives us a hint about his character. Hyderabad, June 28, 2021: Megastar Chiranjeevi is all set to be directed by Mohan Raja for the first time in the Telugu remake of the 2019 Malayalam film, Lucifer, starring superstar Mohanlal. While the original Lucifer was a political drama film, the Telugu remake is said to be gone through a lot of changes to appeal to the mass audience. ## Mohan Raja has said to be re-worked on the script and now the Telugu version will have new flashback episodes where Chiranjeevi will have a romantic story. The Telugu remake will reportadly have Nayanthara romancing the superstar in the film, for which, Nayan's role has been given a significant space unlike Manju Warrior;s in original film. ## It will be Chiranjeevi's 153th film of his career which will be jointly produced by Konidela Production Company and Super Good Films. Hyderabad, June 28, 2021: A few days after announcing his Telugu debut with Sekhar Kammula's trilingual movie, Dhanush seems to be getting more interested to work with Telugu directors. The national award-winning actor has reportadly signed his second Telugu movie with Tholi Prema director Venky Atluri. ## According to Deccan Chronicle, producer Suryadevara Nagavamsi has been planning to make a trilingual film for a long time and he has found this potential in Dhanush. Nagavamsi feels a trilingual film would do justice to the script, given Dhanush's popularity in the South and in Bollywood. ## It is said that Dhanush has agreed to work on the Atluri film. It will be Karnan actor's second back-to-back trilingual movie, to be made simultaneously in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu, after Sekhar Kammula's film.
