Prabhas, SS Rajamouli's Baahubali: The Epic Becomes Biggest Telugu Re-Release Grosser: Scores Huge First Day Worldwide

Hyderabad, November 1 - Director SS Rajamouli's Baahubali: The Epic, a one-cut version combining his path-breaking Baahubali duology, has shattered records to become the biggest-ever Telugu re-release blockbuster. The epic action drama has enjoyed a full-fledged re-release — not just across India but also in key international markets — marking another milestone for the franchise. Starring Prabhas in the titular role, Baahubali: The Epic had its grand premiere on October 30, grossing approximately 5.25 crore worldwide. Notably, re-released Telugu films rarely have premiere shows, making this record-setting feat even more remarkable. What's more impressive is that the premiere earnings of the film alone surpassed the opening day collection of several major Telugu films released this year, which proves the undeniable legacy of Baahubali films. Following its historic premiere, the film recorded a massive opening day globally, with double-digit collections across India. As per early estimates, Baahubali: The Epic grossed around 12.50 crore on its opening day domestically (including 1.35 crore from premieres), while its overseas collections are around 6–7 crore, taking its worldwide total to an extraordinary 19–20 crore. A tale of destiny, betrayal, love, and power - once told in two grand chapters, now reborn as one monumental experience.🔥Relive the entire legend in #BaahubaliTheEpic - from Tomorrow#BaahubaliTheEpicOn31stOct pic.twitter.com/AZXFzLQxjZ— Baahubali (@BaahubaliMovie) October 30, 2025 With these figures, the film has become the highest-grossing Telugu re-release title and the second-highest-grossing South Indian re-release film of all time, behind only Thalapathy Vijay's Ghilli, which grossed over 30 crores worldwide. The previous biggest Telugu re-release grosser was Mahesh Babu's Khaleja (11 crores). Let alone the re-release, the opening day collection of Baahubali: The Epic would even make the most of the original release envious. It is, however, worth noting that Telugu films normally don't have a proper re-release; instead, they are more like a celebratory re-release. But even with that, Baahubali is miles ahead of them. The 3-hour and 45-minute-long cut will most likely become the highest-grossing Indian re-release grosser by tomorrow or the next day, beating Sanam Teri Kasam, which grossed around 40 crores earlier this year. Baahubali: The Epic, however, will be eying much more as a genuine interest, for it can be seen among the audience even after 10 years. Stay tuned...

Prabhas' Baahubali: The Epic Storms To 5+ Crore Premiere Gross Worldwide

Hyderabad, October 31 - Director SS Rajamouli's epic one-cut re-release of his path-breaking blockbuster Baahubali duology - Baahubali: The Epic has started with a bang at the worldwide box office after record-breaking premiere gross. Starring Prabhas in the title role, the 3-hour and 45-minute-long blockbuster had a limited premiere in India on October 30 and a full-fledged premiere in North America. The film grossed approximately 1.25-1.50 crores in its domestic premiere. In North America, the film is looking to gross around 3.75 crores, making it 5-5.25+ crores gross worldwide premiere. The Indian re-release titles historically don't have a premiere, so it is a new record for Baahubali: The Epic, and is likely to remain so. The combined version of Baahubali: The Beginning and Baahubali: The Conclusion is likely to become the biggest Telugu re-release grosser after the first day itself (including premiere). If the momentum persists, it could become the biggest Indian re-release blockbuster in the first weekend itself, which needs to be seen. Currently, Harshvardhan Rane's romantic drama, Sanam Teri Kasam, is the top Indian grosser in its repeat run. The film stunned everyone earlier this year and went on to gross around 40 crores in its re-release run, followed by Tumbbad, which minted an excellent 37.50 crores gross. Stay tuned...

Can Prabhas' Baahubali: The Epic Make Baahubali 2 To Reclaim Indian Box Office Crown?

Hyderabad, October 30 - Maverick filmmaker SS Rajamouli and Pan India superstar Prabhas' action drama Baahubali: The Conclusion ruled the Indian box office for nearly eight years as the country's highest-grossing film, before that reign came to an end when Allu Arjun's Pushpa 2: The Rule took over the top position following its phenomenal success in December last year. There is currently a difference of around 50 crores between the two films in favour of Pushpa 2. But the tables may yet turn with the upcoming re-release of the Baahubali duology, now presented as Baahubali: The Epic. This special cut will bring together both films — Baahubali: The Beginning and Baahubali: The Conclusion — into a single, nearly 3-hour-45-minute cinematic experience. The advance booking of Baahubali: The Epic is robust, better than all the films which have been re-released at the Indian box office so far. To earn over 50 crores gross for the film shouldn't be a big ask, but it has to double it up to make Baahubali 2 reclaim its top spot. Baahubali: The Epic poses a unique case for box office accounting, as it includes both parts in one continuous feature, so the total earnings of its can't be attributed to just Baahubali 2. Since this is a one-of-a-kind case, what can be done is to split the collection of Baahubali: The Epic in half and add to both parts. If done so, the re-release will need to gross over 100 crores at the Indian box office to bridge the 50+ crores gap between Baahubali 2 and Pushpa 2. For the record, no film has ever grossed more than 50 crores in its re-release run at the Indian box office, so it needs to be seen how Baahubali: The Epic fares, even though it is certain to become the biggest Indian re-release grosser of all time. Whether it can also help Baahubali 2 reclaim its long-held crown remains to be seen, but one thing is certain — this epic is about to make history again. Stay tuned...

Prashath Varma Locks Bhoomi Shetty As The Main Lead of His Next PVCU Film, Mahakali

Hyderabad, October 30 - After the massive success of Teja Sajja-fronted HanuMan (2024), filmmaker Prasanth Varma is all set to expand his ambitious Prasanth Varma Cinematic Universe (PVCU) with another epic titled Mahakali, which is the second film in PVCU. After unveiling the first look poster of Akshaye Khanna recently, the filmmaker has now confirmed the main lead of the film. Bhoomi Shetty, who caught the attention with her recent works in Kingdom and Sharathulu Varthisthai, has been locked to play the leading role. The makers unveiled a powerful first-look poster of the young actress that has instantly created buzz across social media. The poster features Bhoomi Shetty in a fierce and divine avatar, marking her debut as the lead face of this new cinematic chapter. The striking image captures Bhoomi as the embodiment of raw power and divinity — her intense gaze, adorned with traditional ornaments and vibrant symbolism, reflects the ferocity and spiritual essence of Goddess Mahakali. The poster's dark tone, intricate details, and symbolic use of colours align perfectly with Prasanth Varma's unique visual storytelling style that blends mythology with modern cinematic flair. Produced by Riwaz Ramesh Duggal under RK Duggal Studios, Mahakali is created by Prasanth Varma and directed by Puja Aparna Kolluru (debut), with the story said to explore the feminine energy of destruction and rebirth. The film promises to delve deep into the PVCU, connecting further to the universe that began with HanuMan. The film has already completed over 50% of its shoot and is presently being filmed on a grand set specially constructed in Hyderabad. With Bhoomi Shetty taking on such a powerful and demanding role, Mahakali is shaping up to be another visually stunning addition to the PVCU. Stay tuned...

Baahubali: The Epic Tops 10 Crore Advance Booking Worldwide; Sets Up Big Release In Overseas Markets

Hyderabad, October 29 - Director SS Rajamouli's action drama Baahubali: The Epic, which is a nearly 4-hour one cut version of his Baahubali duology, is roaring in the advance booking ahead of its 31st October release. The bookings are better than many of the mid-budget films, let alone the re-release title. Starring Prabhas in the title role alongside Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, Sathyaraj and Tamannah Bhatia, the film has topped 10 crores advance booking gross collection for the opening day, including premieres. In India, the bookings have crossed 5 crores, while overseas pre-sales are nearing the 5 crore mark, driven by North America. The pre-sales of Baahubali - The Epic are already higher than the lifetime collection of Indian re-release titles. It is certain to become the biggest Indian re-release grosser of all time, and will probably become the first film to cross the 100 crore mark. Meanwhile, the makers have locked a wide release of the film in international markets. In the USA, the film will be released in over 400 theatres, followed by 210 in the UK & Ireland, over 150 in the UAE & GCC, 144 in Australia and New Zealand, and over 100 theatres in Southeast Asia. Overall, the movie will be released in over 1150 theatres across overseas markets, which is easily the biggest for an Indian re-release movie. Produced by Arka Media Works, Baahubali: The Epic has been censored with U/A with an approved theatrical runtime of 3 hours and 45 minutes. The first half, which contains scenes from Baahubali: The Beginning, is nearly 1 hour and 42 minutes, while the second half (Baahubali: The Conclusion) is about 2 hours and 3 minutes. Stay tuned...

Mark the Calendar! Prabhas' Much-Awaited The Raja Saab Gets Official Release Date

Hyderabad, August 6 - Pan-India superstar Prabhas-fronted romantic horror-comedy The Raja Saab is among the most-anticipated Indian movies. Directed by Maruthi, the movie has officially been postponed from December 5, 2025, as was already reportedly in the media. Produced by People Media Factory, the movie will now be hitting the big screens on January 9, 2026, during the Sankranthi festival weekend. The makers officially confirmed the release date during the trailer launch event of Teja Sajja's Mirai, which is produced by the same team. With The Raja Saab confirming to come on Sankranthi, this marks his first film in 18 years, since Yogi (2019), to release during this lucrative holiday period. At the moment, the film is clashing with megastar Chiranjeevi's Mana Shankara Varaprasad Garu, which was announced for Sankranthi 2026, along with Thalapathy Vijay's Jana Nayagan. Prabhas is undoubtedly one of the most bankable Pan-India stars, who can do wonders at the box office if the film is good enough, and considering this, the makers have given the best chance to the film to explode at the box office as Sankranthi is a major holiday period for the box office. During a recent interview, producer TG Vishwa Prasad hinted that they are planning to release the movie on January 9, 2026, while mentioning that Bollywood buyers were insisting on sticking with the December 5, 2025, release. The producer added that a few songs and some patchwork are yet to be completed as they are expecting to wrap the film by October. He also revealed that director Maruthi has shot raw footage of 4 hours and 30 minutes, and the editing team is working on chopping and editing it down to about 2 hours and 45 minutes. It can be said that the final runtime of The Raja Saab will be around 165 minutes, and it might get stretched to around 3 hours. Produced by People Media Factory and IVY Entertainment, the film's plot revolves around a young man who sets his eyes on his ancestral property to ease him out of a cash crunch. It stars Prabhas in the lead role, alongside Sanjay Dutt, Nidhhi Agerwal, Malavika Mohanan (in her Telugu film debut), and Riddhi Kumar. Stay tuned...

Prabhas, SS Rajamouli's Baahubali: The Epic Off To A Blockbuster Start In Advance Bookings In India

Hyderabad, October 25 - SS Rajamouli's epic Baahubali duology returns to the big screen with a bang in a one epic cut. After seeing an excellent response in North America, this advance booking for Prabhas-fronted magnum opus, Baahubali: The Epic, has opened with an excellent response domestically, reaffirming the unmatched craze surrounding the franchise even after years of its original release. The bookings for the re-edited single-film version officially opened in Hyderabad on October 25, and within minutes, most of the shows were sold out. The film has been selling over 5,000 tickets per hour on BookMyShow, showcasing the extraordinary enthusiasm among fans eager to relive the cinematic spectacle on the big screen once again. It has grossed nearly 2 crores in India and around 4 crores worldwide for the opening day. Sandeep Reddy Vanga Ignites Frenzy With The Sound Story Of Prabhas' Spirit

Hyderabad, October 24 - Love him or hate him, but no one can ignore Sandeep Reddy Vanga. The filmmaker, known for his unapologetic, unfiltered, and intense brand of storytelling, has once again become the talk of the nation after unveiling the Sound Story of his upcoming film Spirit, starring Prabhas, which has sent fans into a frenzy across the internet. The short yet powerful Sound Story offers a glimpse into the world Vanga is creating with Spirit, and it's everything one would expect from him. Without showing a single frame, the teaser managed to raise goosebumps, setting social media abuzz and trending within hours of release. The sound story offers a key dialogue sequence of Spirit without showing any frame. The teaser confirms that Prabhas plays an IPS officer who was once an academy topper but turns a remand prisoner because of his 'one bad habit', which has left everyone guessing. In his signature bold style, Sandeep Reddy Vanga also referred to Prabhas as "India's biggest superstar" — and it's hard to argue with that. Over the past decade, no actor has delivered the kind of box office dominance that Prabhas has, from Baahubali to Kalki 2898 AD. The collaboration between SRV and Prabhas is being hailed as one of the most explosive combinations in contemporary Indian cinema. SRV has also revealed the majority of the main cast of Spirit, produced by T-Series and Bhadrakali Pictures. Alongside Prabhas, the film stars Tripti Dimri as the female lead, Vivek Oberoi, Prakash Raj, and veteran South Indian actress Kanchana in key roles. Fans are calling Spirit "the next cinematic storm," with expectations skyrocketing for what Vanga will deliver after Kabir Singh and Animal. The director, who thrives on polarising opinions, seems set to push boundaries once again — this time on a much grander scale with Prabhas leading the charge. Spirit is expected to start rolling by the end of this year or early 2026. The film will be released in multiple Indian and international languages, most likely in 2027. To make the 10th anniversary a grand event, the makers announced the re-release of the Baahubali duology, and unlike anything before, both films have been remastered in a single cut, titled Baahubali - The Epic with a theatrical runtime of 3 hours and 44 minutes. Prabhas In and As Fauzi In Director Hanu Raghavapudi's Period Action Drama

Hyderabad, October 23 — Pan India superstar Prabhas' highly-awaited period action drama with director Hanu Raghavapudi, has officially been titled Fauzi. The announcement, made on October 23 on Prabhas' birthday, has taken the internet by storm. Presented by Gulshan Kumar and T-Series Films in association with Mythri Movie Makers, the Fauzi marks a powerful collaboration between the Sita Ramam director Hanu Raghavapudi and the pan-India superstar. The first look poster exudes intensity and patriotism — half of Prabhas' face dominates the frame, his fierce eyes conveying grit and defiance. Draped beside him is a burning British flag, symbolising resistance against colonial rule. The tagline, "A Battalion Who Fights Alone," hints at a tale of bravery, sacrifice, and solitary struggle set against the backdrop of 1940s colonial India. The film's title, Fauzi, meaning soldier, aptly captures its essence — a warrior's journey in a time when loyalty and rebellion collided. The visual tone and fiery textures suggest a blend of historical drama and action, promising an epic-scale narrative. Produced by Naveen Yerneni, Y Ravi Shankar, and Bhushan Kumar, the film is poised to be one of the most ambitious period dramas in Indian cinema. The credits reveal a strong technical team, with Vishal Chandrashekhar handling the music and PS Vinod on cinematography. Fauzi — A story set in 1940s colonial India, also stars Imani in her debut alongside Mithun Chakraborty, Anupam Kher and Jaya Parda in prominent roles. The film is reportedly slated for a multilingual release in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam in August 2026. पद्मव्यूह विजयी पार्थःपाण्डवपक्षे संस्थित कर्णः।गुरुविरहितः एकलव्यःजन्मनैव च योद्धा एषः॥#PrabhasHanu is #FAUZI ❤‍🔥The bravest tale of a soldier from the hidden chapters of our history 🔥Happy Birthday, Rebel Star #Prabhas ❤️#HappyBirthdayFAUZI#HappyBirthdayPRABHAS… pic.twitter.com/R7hjLRSFfF— Mythri Movie Makers (@MythriOfficial) October 23, 2025 Stay tuned...
