Mahavatar Narsimha Vs Hari Hara Veera Mallu First Monday Box Office: Animated Blockbuster Stuns Pawan Kalyan-starrer With 3x More Collection

Hyderabad, July 29 - In the shocking turn of events, Kaleem Productions and Hombale Films' low-budget animated epic action drama Mahavatar Narsimha has stunned superstar Pawan Kalyan-fronted period action drama Hari Hara Veera Mallu at the domestic box office on their respective first Mondays. ## Released on July 25, the first chapter in the ambitious Mahavatar Cinematic Universe is rewriting the rules, registering a Monday collection (Day 4) of approximately 7.25 crore gross domestically, which is more than triple the 2.25 crore gross earned by Hari Hara Veera Mallu on its first Monday (Day 5). ## Even though there is no comparison between the two movies, as the scale and budget of Hari Hara Veera Mallu are much higher than the animated film, the former had a shocking collapse after an underwhelming opening weekend. This once again proved the power of word of mouth and the unpredictable, harsh reality of the box office. ## Directed by Krish Jagarlamudi and A. M. Jyothi Krishna, Hari Hara Veera Mallu was envisioned as a grand period saga starring one of Telugu cinema’s biggest superstars. However, the film's inability to maintain momentum beyond the opening day highlights the fickle nature of box office performance and the increasing influence of word of mouth. In 5 days so far, the movie has grossed approximately 91 crores, after taking the opening of 55 crores domestically.## In stark contrast, Mahavatar Narsimha is turning out to be a sleeper success story. After opening at 2.10 crore gross, the film saw explosive weekend growth, collecting 19 crore in three days. The rock-solid Monday performance has taken its total to 26.25 crore gross in just four days. With strong legs and surging demand, the film is racing towards the 50 crore milestone — an incredible feat for an animated feature in India. ## Stay tuned...

Anirudh Ravichander Reviews Rajinikanth's Much-Awaited 'Coolie' And Vijay Deverakonda's 'Kingdom'

Hyderabad, July 29 - Superstar musician Anirudh Ravichandar has lately been the voice of blockbuster films, not just with his music, but also with his reactions to them. Whenever he has felt good about his movies, he has reviewed them on social media with some fire emojis or other expressions of enthusiasm. ## Anirudh currently has two major projects scheduled for release in the next couple of weeks. First is Vijay Deverakonda's action thriller Kingdom on July 31st, followed by superstar Rajinikanth's hugely anticipated gangster action drama Coolie on August 14. ## While both movies carry positive buzz, everyone wants to know what the star musician thinks about them. Fortunately, Anirudh has watched both the movies and has some nice things to say about them. During a recent interview, he shared his thoughts on his next two projects. ## According to The Times of India, Anirudh revealed that he has nearly completed watching Coolie and described it as "ominous and superb". Expressing his enthusiasm for the film, Anirudh reportedly said that it will feature a new shade in storytelling and music. ## Speaking about Vijay Deverakonda's Kingdom, the Leo musician mentioned that he has seen about 30 to 40 minutes of the film, and he found it very promising, while appreciating the quality of the product. Meanwhile, producer Naga Vamsi said in an interview that after watching the film, Anirudh called him and expressed his happiness over it, stating that Kingdom will be a mass hit at the box office. ## About Coolie ## Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and produced by Sun Pictures, the film stars Rajinikanth in the lead role as Deva alongside Nagarajuna, Shruti Haasan, Soubin Shahir, Upendra, Sathyaraj, and Aamir Khan (cameo). The movie reportedly centres around an ageing gold smuggler named Deva, played by Rajinikanth, who reforms his old gang to take on a powerful gold smuggling empire. ## About Kingdom ## Directed by Jersey fame Gowtam Tinnanuri and produced by Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas, Kingdom is reportedly a reincarnation drama that has Vijay Deverakonda in the lead role alongside Satyadev and Bhagyashri Borse. It is reportedly intended to be the first instalment of a planned duology. ## Stay tuned...

Hari Hara Veera Mallu Day 4 Collection: Pawan Kalyan-starrer Tops 100 Crore Worldwide But Remains Underwhelming In The Opening Weekend

Hyderabad, July 28 - Telugu superstar Pawan Kalyan’s much-awaited period action drama Hari Hara Veera Mallu has officially crossed the 100 crore gross mark at the worldwide box office. However, despite hitting this major milestone, the film's performance over its extended four-day opening weekend has been widely regarded as underwhelming. ## Directed by Krish Jagarlamudi and A. M. Jyothi Krishna, the film was released amid massive hype and fan frenzy, which translated into a record-breaking opening day for the superstar. But the euphoria was short-lived. The movie started shrinking afterwards due to poor reviews and word of mouth. ## HHVM had all the makings of a blockbuster — a mass hero in a grand avatar, period setting, wide promotions and a big opening, which ideally should have helped it to top the 100 crore mark on its second day itself, but that wasn't the case, as it took the complete 4-day extended weekend (plus paid premiere) to get there. ## While the film did register a slight upward trend on Saturday and Sunday, the sharp drop on Friday was too steep to recover from. This abrupt fall halted any chance of a stable box office trajectory. ## What Is Next For Hari Hara Veera Mallu? ## There were criticisms of the VFX and the runtime of the movie, which led to its downfall. The makers have reportedly uploaded the updated version in cinemas worldwide. However, the rebound seems extremely difficult from hereon, as the negative word of mouth has already spread all across. ## The weekday audience profile will shift significantly compared to the fan-dominated weekend crowd. Unless there's a miraculous word-of-mouth turnaround, it seems unlikely that Hari Hara Veera Mallu will be able to sustain enough momentum to reach its break-even mark of 225 crore worldwide gross. ## Stay tuned...

Hari Hara Veera Mallu Day 2 Collection: Pawan Kalyan-starrer Plummeted After Record Opening

Hyderabad, July 26 - The negative word of mouth appears to have made its presence felt earlier than anticipated, as Pawan Kalyan's period action adventure Hari Hara Veera Mallu plummeted on its second day, after the record-breaking opening for the superstar at the worldwide box office. ## Directed by Krish Jagarlamudi and A. M. Jyothi Krishna, the film opened to an impressive 67 crore worldwide gross, including paid premiere shows. However, things started getting screwed by the evening of its opening day, as poor reviews and word of mouth began influencing footfalls. This trend only intensified on Friday, leading to a heavy drop in collections across regions. ## Hari Hara Veera Mallu Dropped By +70% On Day 2 ## It is normal for South Indian films to witness a decline in collections in early days, especially when met with mixed or negative word of mouth, but the Pawan Kalyan-starrer is among the worst hit films, where the collection plummeted domestically. Despite the immense hype and strong initial turnout, the film has suffered a steep decline in collections, pointing to a serious disconnect with audiences. ## While the official numbers are yet to come, HHVM grossed less than 10 crore on its first Friday, marking a devastating 80%+ drop from its full opening day (including premieres), and about 75% from the pure day 1 figures. ## The film’s two-day domestic gross now stands at approximately 65 crore, while the worldwide total has reached around 77 crore gross. Even in the early days, a heavy drop for a poorly received South Indian film doesn't surprise much, but in the case of HHVM, it came as a shocker with huge cost involved. ## What is Next For Hari Hara Veera Mallu? ## After crashing badly on its second day, there seems to be no way forward for HHVM. It might still attract some audience over Saturday and Sunday, but beyond that, it is looking extremely difficult for the film to sustain. The movie needs around 225 crores worldwide gross collection to break even, but that target is looking far from reality. ## Stay tuned...

Hari Hara Vaara Mallu Day 1 Collection: Biggest Opening For Pawan Kalyan But A Tough Road Ahead

Hyderabad, July 25 - Power star Pawan Kalyan's long-awaited period action adventure Hari Hara Veera Mallu - Part 1 Sword vs Spirit finally hit the big screens on July 24 amid huge fanfare. The film delivered a solid opening day performance at the worldwide box office, living up to the pre-release hype, at least in terms of opening day numbers. ## Directed by Krish Jagarlamudi and A. M. Jyothi Krishna, the film benefited from one of the strongest advance bookings for a Telugu film. With pre-sales collections of around 45 crore gross worldwide, Hari Hara Veera Mallu opened with a bang, riding on the superstar's mass appeal and a long buildup of anticipation. ## Hari Hara Veera Mallu Scored Biggest Opening For Pawan Kalyan ## Backed by Mega Suriya Production, the film held paid domestic premieres on July 23, raking in an estimated 15 crore gross from them. Its first official day on July 24 added another 38–40+ crore gross at the domestic box office, bringing the total India gross to 53–55+ crore. ## However, the film's overseas performance was underwhelming, grossing an estimated 10–12 crore, including premieres. This total mostly matched its earlier pre-sale estimates of 6–7 crore (corrected in previous articles), showing minimal walk-in traction on Day 1. ## In total, Hari Hara Veera Mallu registered a worldwide opening day gross in the 65 crore range, marking the biggest ever opening for a Pawan Kalyan film, surpassing Bheemla Nayak's 57 crore debut in 2022. ## Big Opening But A Tough Road Ahead For Hari Hara Veera Mallu ## Despite the huge opening at the box office, the road ahead for HHVM appears uncertain. The film has been met with harsh reviews from critics and largely mixed to negative word of mouth from early audiences. Advance bookings for Day 2 and the remainder of the weekend are reportedly poor, with no signs of a bounce back in demand. While the film might manage decent footfalls over the weekend, sustaining beyond Sunday seems difficult. ## This situation echoes a growing pattern in the Telugu film industry, where even massive openings fail to translate into sustained runs when content fails to connect with audiences. Despite the record-breaking opening, the box office success of HHVM is far from guaranteed. With word of mouth spreading fast, the film now faces the real challenge, which is surviving beyond the opening weekend. ## Stay tuned...

Hyderabad, July 12 - Telugu superstar Pawan Kalyan is set to dominate the latter half of 2025 with two major releases - Hari Hara Veera Mallu and OG. While HHVM, after multiple delays, is finally slated to hit the big screens on July 24, it is director Sujeeth's action thriller, OG, that is generating unprecedented buzz among fans and trade circles alike. ## Even before the release of HHVM and in the absence of an official teaser or trailer for OG, the film's theatrical business is already a hot topic in the industry. SS Rajamouli, Prabhas' 'Baahubali' Gets A New Re-Release Title And Release Date

Hyderabad, July 10 - A decade ago in 2015, on this same day (July 10), director SS Rajamouli's epic action drama Baahubali - The Beginning, starring Pan India superstar Prabhas, was released in theatres worldwide, and changed the Indian cinema for its greater good. ## Baahubali grossed approximately 650 crores worldwide and was the second highest-grossing Indian movie at that time, behind Aamir Khan's "PK" (792 crores). 2 years later, the second part, Baahubali - The Conclusion was released in April 2017, and became much bigger blockbuster than the first part. ## The second part grossed nearly 1800 crores worldwide, but it was again finished as the second biggest-grosser, behind Aamir Khan's "Dangal" (2070 crores), which released in 2016. Now, 10 years after the first film, both films are returning to the big screen in a single epic cut. ## Earlier this year, the makers announced the re-release of Baahubali, and now, sharing more details, it has been confirmed that both Baahubali - The Beginning and Baahubali - The Conclusion will be re-released as one film, titled Baahubali - The Epic, worldwide on October 31st this year in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, and Malayalam. ## This is probably the first time that both parts of a movie are getting re-released as a single cut, and the fans are excited to see how it works out. Produced by Arka Media Works, the film also stars Rana Daggubati, Anushka, Tamannaah Bhatia, Ramya Krishnan, Sathyaraj, and Nassar in prominent roles. ## 10 years ago, a question united the nation…Now the question and the answer return together in ONE grand epic. #BaahubaliTheEpic releases worldwide on October 31st, 2025.#Celebrating10YearsOfBaahubali #DecadeofBaahubaliReign #Baahubali pic.twitter.com/iCdTyicF4F— Baahubali (@BaahubaliMovie) July 10, 2025 ## Stay tuned...
