Huge Budget For Superstar Ram Charan's 'Game Changer'

Hyderabad, January 7 - The hugely-awaited political action drama Game Changer starring Telugu superstar Ram Charan is all set to hit the big screens on January 10. Directed by S. Shankar, the movie also stars Kiara Advani and SJ Suryah in prominent roles. ## Game Changer promises to be a visual treat with a gripping story and incredible performances. As it has been revealed, the movie has 4 songs which cost a whopping 75 crores to make. It has become the highest-grossing film ever at the Indian box office after surpassing Baahubali 2 - The Conclusion in 29 days. ## The Allu Arjun-fronted blockbuster has crossed 6 crores (60 million) footfalls in India in 29 days, becoming the first film since Baahubali 2 (2017) to achieve the feat. Hyderabad, January 2 - Pushpa 2 has now officially become the highest-grossing film ever at the Indian box office, beating SS Rajamouli's epic blockbuster Baahubali 2 - The Conclusion. The Allu Arjun-starrer had already crossed BB2 in terms of net collection in 16 days. ## Starring Prabhas, Baahubali 2 grossed approximately 1417 crores (1030 crores net) in India back in 2017. This record remained unbeatable for more than 7 years and at once, looked like would remain untouched for some more time but Pushpa 2 had other ideas. ## The action drama film has topped BB2 on its 29th day, becoming the biggest blockbuster in India. Apart from these two films, Yash-fronted KGF: Chapter 2 has also grossed 1000 crores in India, however, Pushpa 2 and BB2 are the only films to earn 1K crore in terms of net collection. ## At the worldwide box office, the Sukumar's directorial venture is marching towards 1700 crores gross, having earned around 1685 crores in 29 days. Hyderabad, January 1 - The wait for maverick director SS Rajamouli's next film with superstar Mahesh Babu is finally coming to an end with the movie officially getting launched on January 2 in a private ceremony in Hyderabad in the presence of a few people. ## It was recently revealed that India's global icon Priyanka Chopra plays the female lead role opposite Mahesh Babu while Malayalam star Prithviraj Sukumaran is the lead antagonist. Now, according to the latest report by Pinkvilla, the yet-untitled epic jungle adventure will be made into two parts. ## The report states that SSMB29 will be made on a budget of 1000 crore, making it the most expensive Indian film. Both SS Rajamouli and Mahesh Babu won't be taking fees, instead, the duo has entered into a backend deal and has struck a 40% profit-sharing deal with the producers. ## The shoot of the film is expected to kick-start in April this year and the makers are planning to release the first part in 2027, followed by the second part in 2029. Los Angeles, December 31 - Superstar Allu Arjun's Pushpa 2 - The Rule has ended the year 2024 by topping $15 million at the North American box office, becoming the 7th Indian and 4th South Indian title of all-time to achieve the feat. ## Directed by Sukumar, Pushpa 2 joins the elite league of Baahubali 2, Kalki 2898 AD, Pathaan, RRR, Jawan, and Animal in the prestigious box office club. It is likely to beat Animal ($15.02 million) and Jawan ($15.23 million) at the end of its run to become the 5th biggest Indian grosser in NA. ## The action drama is the second biggest Indian grosser of 2024 after Kalki 2898 AD and by far the biggest for Allu Arjun in NA. Overall, it is also currently the second-biggest Indian title with approximately 265 crores gross, behind Kalki which minted around 275 crores gross. ## Pushpa 2, meanwhile, is marching towards becoming the second biggest Indian-grossing film of all time at the worldwide box office. Hyderabad, December 27 - Superstar Allu Arjun's Pushpa 2 - The Rule has become the second highest-grossing film in Telugu states (Andhra Pradesh and Telangana) after beating superstar Prabhas-fronted Baahubali 2 - The Conclusion in 23 days.## The Sukumar's directorial action drama has grossed approximately 307+ crores in AP-TG in 23 days (including the 4th Friday) as the second biggest grosser, seating between two SS Rajamouli's directorial ventures - Baahubali 2 and RRR. ## Pushpa 2 took one of the biggest openings in Telugu states approximately 89 crores (including previews), before showing a little drop over the first weekend. However, once the ticket prices lowered, the film showed a better trend and remained the first choice of moviegoers since then. ## With no big film until the Sankranthi festival, Pushpa 2 is expected to continue to score and will look to finish around 350 crores gross. Tokyo, December 26 - Telugu superstar Jr. NTR's Devara - Part 1 is heading to the Japanese cinemas next year. Directed by Koratal Siva, the action drama was released on September 27 this year in India and internationally, grossing over 400 crores at the worldwide box office. ## According to the latest update, Devara will be released in Japan on March 28, 2025. Hyderabad, December 23 - Pushpa 2 has a fantastic third weekend with close to 100 crores gross and also topped 1500 crores gross collection at the worldwide box office, becoming only the third Indian movie of all time to achieve the feat. ## At the end of the third weekend, the Allu Arjun-fronted action drama has scored approximately 1506 crores gross, including around 1267 crores gross collection at the Indian box office. It is currently the second biggest grosser in India, behind Baahubali 2 (1416 crores), however, in terms of the net collection, Pushpa 2 is the number 1 film. ## The contribution from the dubbed Hindi version has been more than 50% of the total collection of Pushpa 2. In Hindi, the film has grossed around 925 crores worldwide, including over 800 crores at the Indian box office. It will cross 1000 crores gross soon. ## Pushpa 2 will be eyeing to finish its worldwide run as the second-biggest Indian grosser ever. Hyderabad, December 23 - Superstar Allu Arjun's mega box office blockbuster Pushpa 2 - The Rule has emerged as the number-one film in the history of the online ticketing portal, Book My Show in terms of tickets sold. ## In just 17 days, the action drama film has sold 18+ million (1.80+ crores) tickets, beating Yash-fronted KGF: Chapter 2 which sold around 17.10+ million tickets during its lifetime run. SS Rajamouli and Prabhas' Baahubali 2 reportedly sold around 16 million tickets which is the third highest ever. ## Overall, Pushpa 2 has sold more than 50 million (5 crores) tickets in 17 days and has become the most-watched movie in India post the Covid-19 pandemic. Bengaluru, December 22 - It has been a year since Prabhas-fronted action drama Salaar Part 1 - Ceasefire was released in theatres. Directed by Prashanth Neel, the film was one of the highest-grossing Indian titles in 2023 with over 600 crores gross, however, the director expected. ## In a special interview with Kairam Vaashi on the occasion of Salaar's first anniversary, Prashanth Neel opened up about the film's box office performance. It is worth noting that it was Neel's first movie since the mega-blockbuster KGF: Chapter 2 and his combination with Prabhas was expected to set the box office on fire. ## While Salaar emerged as a box office success, Neel expressed his disappointment and said that he was not completely happy with the performance as he expected more since a lot of hard work was put into it. However, the maverick filmmaker is super confident on Salaar 2 which is scheduled to hit the big screens in 2026. ## "I decided to make Salaar2 into one of my best movies. The writing I have put into the film has been probably one of my best works. I'm going to make it more than I can imagine and more than the audience can imagine. It is something that unquestionably will be one of my best works", Neel said. ## Meanwhile, Neel will next team up with superstar Jr. NTR for action drama, slated to go on floors early next year. 'Pushpa 2' Tops 5 Crore Footfalls In India

Hyderabad, December 21 - Mythri Movie Makers' action drama Pushpa 2 - The Rule has topped 5 crore footfalls at the Indian box office in 17 days, becoming the second movie after Yash-fronted KGF: Chapter 2 to achieve the feat post the Covid-19 pandemic. ## The movie has been selling over 1 million tickets almost every day since its release on December 5. On its second Saturday (17th day), it has topped 50 million admissions in India and is set to beat KGF 2 which sold approximately 5.10 crore tickets in its lifetime run in all versions. ## The Hindi version of Pushpa 2 has alone generated 3+ crores of footfalls, followed by the original Telugu version (1.50 crores) while Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada versions have sold 50+ lakh tickets so far.
