Hyderabad, October 14 - Telugu superstar Jr. NTR's action drama Devara: Part 1 defied mixed reviews to emerge as a big success at the worldwide box office, surpassing 400 crore gross collection.## Directed by Koratala Siva, the movie has minted approximately 401 crores which includes 324 crores gross at the domestic box office and an estimated 77 crores overseas through the third weekend (17 days). With this, it has become the second Telugu movie and the fourth Indian title of 2024 to achieve the feat. ## Devara is the second film of Jr. NTR to top 400 crores worldwide gross after RRR, also starring Ram Charan. While the multiple factors worked in the favor of RRR, the latest box office hit has purely been carried by the stardom of Jr. NTR. ## Overall, Devara: Part 1 is the 7th Telugu movie of all time to achieve the milestone of 400 crores worldwide gross, after Saaho, Baahubali: The Beginning, Salaar: Ceasefire, Kalki 2898 AD, RRR, and Baahubali 2. Whatever asset the makers have released so far has hit the bull's eye, including the teaser which has taken things a notch higher. ## The teaser of Vishwambhara was launched on October 12 on the occasion of Dussehra and it received unanimously positive reception from fans. On YouTube, the teaser scored a massive 21 million views in the first 24 hours, making it the second most-watched Telugu teaser of the year. ## Among the all-time most-watched Telugu teasers in the first 24 hours, Vishwambhara is at 4th after Radhe Shyam (42.6 million), Sarkaru Vaari Paata (23 million) and Intro Pushpa 2 - The Rule (22.50 million). Shankar and stars Kiara Advani as the female lead. ## Game Changer, which commenced filming in October 2021, has been postponed multiple times due to the delay in the shoot. Recently, producer Dil Raju announced at the event that they were eyeing a Christmas 2024 release for the movie but plans have changed again. ## On Saturday (October 12), the makers officially confirmed that Game Changer will now be released on January 10, 2025, during the Sankranthi festival week. The USA premiere will take place on January 9. Tentatively titled SSMB 29, the movie is touted to be a globe-trotting with the king of things the team has planned for this one. ## The movie has been in the pre-production for some time and the latest development is that it will start rolling in January 2025. Award-winning writer Vijayendra Prasad, who has written all the films directed by Rajamouli and also is his father, said in a recent 'Master Class' session that SSMB 29 shoot will commence in Jan 2025. ## It is an adventure movie set against the backdrop of the Amazon rainforest. Vijayendra Prasad has written the script and has worked on the same for nearly two years. He said that the movie will introduce audiences to a completely new world, one that hasn't been seen in Indian cinema before. ## SSMB 29 will mark the maiden collaboration between Mahesh Babu and SS Rajamouli. Prabhas-Fronted Blockbuster 'Kalki 2898 AD' Sets Japan Release

Hyderabad, October 9 - One of the biggest Indian blockbusters of the year, Pan India superstar Prabhas-fronted sci-fi action drama Kalki 2898 AD is gearing up for its release in Japan and other international territories with Russia and China in the consideration. ## According to Variety, Nag Ashwin directed Kalki 2898 AD will be released in Japanese cinemas in early 2025 through Twin, the distribution company headed by industry veteran Kabata Keizo. The studio previously released SS Rajamouli's directorial RRR which is currently the highest-grossing Indian title in Japan. ## Prabhas is a popular Indian star in Japan. His Baahubali 2 and Saaho are among the highest-grossing Indian titles in the anime country. If Kalki 2898 AD gets a positive reception, it can repeat the success of those movies. ## Apart from Japan, Kalki is also set for a Russian release, with a dubbed version expected to hit theatres in the coming months. The makers are also exploring the options to release the movie in China which hasn't been a regular international market for Indian movies. ## Produced by C. Hyderabad, October 6 - Superstar Jr. NTR's action drama Devara: Part 1 has a fantastic second Sunday at the domestic box office as it crossed the double-digit collection with a good jump of around 30% from Saturday, completing a decent second weekend. ## As per the early estimates, Devara is expected to gross 8-9 crores collection in Telugu states (Andhra Pradesh and Telangana) with a jump of over 30%. In Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala, the movie is estimated to gross in the range of 2 crore with the majority of collections coming from Karnataka with good hold. ## Apart from the South Indian states, the Hindi belt continues to bring good collections for Devara. On its second Sunday, the gross collection of the movie is expected to be 4.25+ crores in the North India region while the Hindi-language collection is estimated to be 3.75-4 crores net. ## Overall, Devara is expected to gross in the range of 14-15 crores (12-13 crore net) on its second Sunday (10th day), per estimates. This takes its total domestic collection to 287+ crores (243 crores net) in 10 days. The Hindi net collection has also crossed the 50 crores mark at around 52.75 crores so far. ## Devara has a decent second weekend of around 32 crores gross in India as it continues to sail through despite the mixed reception. It is expected to do well going forward as the holiday season approaches. Hyderabad, November 9 - Telugu superstar Jr. NTR is basking on the success of the action drama Devara: Part 1 which grossed over 420 crores at the worldwide box office. This was the actor's second release in nearly 6 years and now, he is gearing up for back-to-back films. ## Jr. NTR is currently shooting for Yash Raj Films' spy action thriller War 2 which marks his Bollywood debut. He will soon start director Prashanth Neel's action drama, tentatively titled Dragon, and now according to the latest reports, the actor has locked in one more film. ## As per the latest Telugu media reports, the RRR star has been in talks with Jailer director Nelson Dilipkumar for a film. It is said that Nelson narrated a few story ideas to Jr. NTR and one of them will be locked soon. It will be the actor's next after Dragon. ## Nelson last directed superstar Rajinikanth's Jailer which was a huge blockbuster last year. His next directorial is Jailer 2 with the superstar and the production for the same is expected to begin once Rajinikanth finishes work on director Lokesh Kanagaraj's Coolie. Hyderabad, October 5 - After the very good first-week collection, superstar Jr. NTR's action drama Devara - Part 1 entered the second with a decent hold on Friday, especially in Telugu states along with Hindi belt and Karnataka. ## On its second Saturday, Devara is showing a good jump of around 40% in terms of all India collections. In Telugu states, the movie is expected to gross in the range of 5.50-6 crores while in Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala, around 1.50 crores gross collection is expected, as per estimates.## In the North Belt, the film is estimated to gross in the range of 3 crores while the Hindi version is expected to score 2.75-3 crores net collection on its second Saturday (9th day). Overall, Devara is expected to score 10+ crore gross (8.50+ crores net) collection today, per estimates. ## The total collection of the movie after the second Saturday is around 272+ crores gross (230 crores net). Hyderabad, October 4 - Superstar Jr. NTR is the latest action drama Devara: Part 1 is heading towards a box office success in Hindi after scoring a good first-week collection domestically and worldwide. ## Devara took a better-than-expected opening of 7.50 crores net approx, before showing good gains over the weekend in the dubbed Hindi version. The movie maintained a decent hold on the crucial Monday before the holiday factor boosted the collection again on Tuesday and Wednesday. ## The movie concluded the first week with approximately 44 crore net collection in Hindi, including approximately 2 crore net on Thursday. This is a good collection for a dubbed version and sets up the stage nicely for the movie to finish with a healthy lifetime total.## Apart from Hindi, Devara has performed very well in the original Telugu language scoring approximately 164 crores net (190+ crores gross) while other South Indian versions have grossed approximately 8.50+ crores in the first week. Overall, the action drama has grossed approximately 255 crores at the Indian box office and is already the second-highest-grossing South Indian movie of 2024 after Kalki 2898 AD in India. ## Overseas, Devara has scored an estimated 69 crores, for the worldwide cume of 324 crores gross in the first week. Hyderabad, October 2 - Telugu superstar Jr. NTR's action drama Devara: Part 1 hits the ball out of the park on its 6th day, thanks to the national holiday in the form of Gandhi Jayanti. The movie is witnessing over 40% jump which is huge for a Telugu title with mixed reviews. ## After the superb first weekend, followed by the decent to good hold during the first two working days, Devara gets the maximum use of the national holiday as early estimates suggest 12-13+ crores gross collection in Telugu states on its first Wednesday (6th day). ## Apart from the Telugu states, the movie has a good jump on other Southern states as Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala are expected to score 4+ crores combined gross collection, per estimates. The North belt, meanwhile, is also showing big gains as estimates suggest 7.50-8.50 crores gross in the region on its 6th day. ## The dubbed Hindi version of Devara is witnessing a jump of around 50% for an estimated 6-6.50 crores net collection, taking its total Hindi collection to over 41 crores net.
