Hyderabad, September 12 - Telugu superstar Jr. NTR's much-awaited action drama film Devara: Part 1 is set to be another lengthy film with a theatrical runtime of close to 3 hours. The movie is directed by Koratala Siva and also stars Janhvi Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan in prominent roles. ## As the movie is gearing up for its grand release on September 27, the makers have completed the censor process more than two weeks before its big screen debut. The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has passed the film with the 'U/A' certificate with an approved runtime of 178 minutes (2 hours and 58 minutes). ## It is said that the CBFC had asked makers to make some changes which led to 4 modifications, including 3 changes related to the violent scenes in the film. After the changes were made, the certificate was given to the makers for the September 27 release. ## Devara marks Jr. NTR's second film in a row to clock the theatrical runtime of nearly 3 hours. The actor's last film, RRR, directed by SS Rajamouli and co-starring Ram Charan, clocked a theatrical runtime of 3 hours and 2 minutes. ## Devara is directed by Koratala Siva and produced by NTR Arts and Yuvasudha Arts. Hyderabad, September 3 - Telugu superstar Pawan Kalyan's blockbuster action drama Gabbar Singh was re-released on the occasion of his birthday yesterday and as expected, the movie scored the biggest opening for a re-release Indian movie at the worldwide box office. ## Gabbar Singh had previews on Sunday before a full-fledged release the next day. The film grossed approximately 6.25 crores in India on its opening day, including previews. This makes it the biggest re-release domestic opener, beating Mahesh Babu's Murari and Thalapathy Vijay's Ghilli which grossed around 4.75 crores each. ## Overseas, Harish Shankar's directorial scored around 75 lahks, for a worldwide opening of 7+ crores. With this, it has also become the biggest worldwide Indian re-release opener, surpassing Murari and Businessmen which grossed around 5.25 crores each on the first day. ## With such a good start, one assumes the film would go on to score a big lifetime re-release collection but that's not the case here. South Indian films, especially Telugu re-releases tend to have a short life at the box office as these films are re-released as a mark of celebration rather than a genuine re-release, which means the collection after the first 2 days is reduced drastically. ## Gabbar Singh, meanwhile, was originally re-released in 2012 and emerged as a big blockbuster with a worldwide box office collection of over 100 crores. According to the latest reliable Telugu media reports, the streamer has paid a whopping 270 crores to acquire the post-theatrical rights of the movie. ## Earlier, there were reports that the makers were quoting 250-300 crores price for the streaming rights and now, it has finally been locked in the middle of it. This is said to be the biggest-ever single streaming deal for an Indian movie across all languages. ## Directed by Sukumar and produced by Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings, Pushpa 2 is the continuation of the superhit Pushpa - The Rise which was released in 2021. Hyderabad, August 30 - Pan India superstar Prabhas-fronted sci-fi epic Kalki 2898 AD, directed by Nag Ashwin, has been a massive box office success and the way it concluded has increased the excitement for its sequel to the next level, however, there is a catch. ## While the buzz around Kalki 2 is at an all-time high, the producers have confirmed that the movie won't be hitting the big screens until 2028. ## Producers and sister duo Priyanka Dutt and Swapna Dutt of Vyjayanthi Movies were present at the screening of Kalki 2898 AD at the Moscow Film Festival where they said that the filming of Kalki 2 will start in the next five or six months, around January or February 2025. (via News18). ## Kalki 2898 AD was shot in a lengthy period of 3 years and unconfirmed reports have said that the sequel will take another 3 years before it gets ready to hit the screens. Directed by Vivek Athreya, the film managed to generate a good buzz, thanks to the teaser/trailer and other promotional activities.## Saripodhaa Sanivaaram is easily one of the most-anticipated tier 2 Telugu hero movies and this led to very good worldwide theatrical business for the film.
