Hyderabad, March 4 - Superstar Prabhas-fronted Salaar: Part 1 - Ceasefire was a big success, grossing over 600 crores at the worldwide box office. The Prashanth Neel's directorial announced the film's sequel at the end of the first part and now, there is an exciting update on the same. ## The sequel of the film was titled Salaar: Part 2 - Shouryanga Parvam and the makers have been saying that it will go on floors soon. Actor Bobby Simha, who played a key role in the movie, has revealed in an interview (via 123telugu.com) that Salaar 2 will be on floors in April 2024. ## Producer Vijay Kiragandur confirmed in a recent interview that they are planning to start the filming as soon as possible for a grand release in 2025. Director Prashanth Neel also said that the script for the second part is ready and they are working on plans to start production soon. ## Salaar: Ceasefire was one of the biggest Indian grossers of 2023. Hyderabad, March 2 - Director Prasanth Varma's superhero movie Hanuman has been in theatres for more than 50 days, a remarkable achievement for a film that was released with limited expectations. The movie's box office performance also made makers pause its digital release, something which is rare for a South Indian movie nowadays. ## Starring Teja Sajja, Hanuman was released on January 12 during the Sankranthi festival along with a couple of other movies on either date. The movie initially faced challenges in getting desired screens in Telugu states as it wasn't a big film compared to other movies released during the same period. ## To overcome the challenges, Hanuman needed solid audience word-of-mouth and once it happened, it looked unstoppable. And now, after 50 days, the movie stands as one of the biggest South Indian blockbusters and the biggest-ever Sankranthi release for Tollywood. ## Produced by Primeshow Entertainment, Hanuman has grossed around 294 crores at the worldwide box office in 50 days. In India, the movie has minted around 237 crores gross and overseas, it has grossed an estimated 56.80 crores. Hyderabad, February 26 - Director Prashanth Varma's blockbuster Hanuman has crossed 200 crores net collection at the domestic box office, becoming the first Telugu and second Indian film of 2024 to achieve the feat. ## Starring Teja Sajja, the superhero movie hit the milestone of 200 crores net in its 7th weekend and currently stands at around 200.30 crores net in all languages. The Telugu version of the film is leading by a huge margin over other languages with around 144 crores, followed by the Hindi version with 52 crores net. ## The Hindi version of the movie has yielded a big surprise at the box office as it is only the 11th South Indian film to mint 50 crores net or more in this particular language. The other languages, including Malayalam, Kannada, and Tamil, have made around 4 crores net. ## Hanuman will almost finish nearly 300 crores gross at the worldwide box office. The movie has scored an estimated 293.30 crores gross, including 236.50 crores domestically and 56.80 crores at the overseas box office in 45 days. ## As reported earlier, Hanuman is the highest-grossing Telugu movie of all time released in January, beating Allu Arjun's Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo which grossed approximately 269 crores in 2020. Mumbai, February 11 - Director Prasanth Varma's superhero movie Hanuman has unlocked a box office achievement as it has crossed 50 crores net in the dubbed Hindi version while worldwide, it is heading towards 300 crores gross mark. ## Starring Teja Sajja in the lead role, Hanuman had a limited release to begin with as it started with approximately 2.10 crores net in Hindi. However, with super positive word of mouth, the movie started gaining momentum and now on its 30th day, it has topped 50 crores net mark. ## Hanuman is the 11th South Indian and 7th Telugu film to hit 50 crores net collection in Hindi. The total net collection of the film currently stands at approximately 194.50 crores, including a little over 50 crores in Hindi alone.## The film is also heading towards hitting 300 crores gross at the worldwide box office, however, it may fall short of the target. It has so far grossed approximately 285.25 crores in 30 days and is likely to score another 5-7 crores gross to finish over 290 crores mark. ## Hanuman, as reported earlier, is the highest-grossing Telugu movie ever to release in the month of January, beating superstar Allu Arjun's Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo (269 crores). Mumbai, February 9 - Pan India superstar Prabhas' action drama film Salaar: Part 1 - Ceasefire has officially revealed its digital partner for the Hindi version. The movie, directed by Prashanth Neel, is already streaming on Netflix in the South Indian languages. ## Since the film's Netflix release in South Indian versions, there have been enquiries about the streaming date of the Hindi version. Hombale Films, on Friday (February 9), officially revealed that Salaar Hindi will be coming on Disney Plus Hotstar on February 16. ## Unlike South Indian versions, the Hindi version of Salaar will be streaming after 8 weeks of theatrical release, and this is one of the major reasons Netflix is not the OTT partner of the film for Hindi. The movie is expected to bring good viewership for Hotstar. ## Netflix was hoping for a break-out success with Salaar in South Indian languages but the response so far has been underwhelming with just 3.5 million views in two weeks.## Meanwhile, Salaar: Ceasefire" grossed approximately 618 crores at the worldwide box office, making it the highest-grossing South Indian film of 2023. It has become the highest-grossing Telugu movie ever to release during the Sankranthi festival weekend. ## Starring Teja Sajja, Hanuman was released on January 12 and with glowing word of mouth, the film beats all other films released around it and eventually becomes the biggest Telugu grosser ever to debut during the particular festival. ## Hanuman has grossed around 270 crores at the worldwide box office as I type this, and has beaten superstar Allu Arjun's Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo which scored approximately 269 crores worldwide in 2020 to emerge the biggest Sankranthi blockbuster of all-time. ## Unlike Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo, Hanuman was released in multiple languages and apart from Telugu, the film is getting good dividends from Hindi. Mumbai, January 24 - Pan India superstar Prabhas-fronted action drama Salaar: Part 1 - Ceasefire scored a decent viewership on its Netflix debut after concluding the box office journey with over 600 crores gross worldwide. ## Directed by Prashanth Neel, "Salaar: Ceasefire" was made available to watch digitally on 20 January in South Indian languages, 28 days after the theatrical release. In the first two days, the movie scored 4.7 million viewing hours from 1.6 million views. ## It was the third most-watched non-English film worldwide on Netflix during the week of January 15 - January 21. While the numbers are decent, Netflix would have hoped for more considering the film's box-office performance. The viewership of "Salaar" is in the lines of any other mid-range Indian film on the streamer. ## "Salaar" is trending only in 4 countries in the top 10, including number 1 in India. The film not only surpassed bigger titles but is also on course to become the biggest Sankranthi winner ever in Telugu cinema. ## Hanuman was released on January 12 with superstar Mahesh Babu's action drama "Guntur Kaaram" which is a much bigger movie in terms of star power and scale. Hanuman overcame the initial obstacles to become the big blockbuster and eventually topped Guntur Kaaram at the domestic as well as the worldwide box office. ## Starring Teja Sajja in the lead role, Hanuman scored approximately 198 crores worldwide in the first 10 days, and with today's collection, it has crossed the 200 crore gross mark and becomes the first Indian movie of the year and first ever for director Varma and actor Teja to do so.## The movie, apart from its original Telugu version, has emerged as a success story in the dubbed Hindi version. In India, the movie has minted around 127 crores gross while the overseas collection is approximately 30 crores. ## Guntur Kaaram needs to hold decently in the coming days to emerge as a successful venture which is now looking very much possible. After the second day, on which the collection dropped by around 70%, the break-even target was looking difficult but the festive season helped the movie to find stability and now, it is in a much better position at the box office. ## Director Prashant Varma's superhero movie Hanuman is giving tough competition to Guntur Kaaram and it will soon overtake the latter at the worldwide box office. Hyderabad, January 15 - Netflix has acquired the post-theatrical streaming rights of some of the biggest Telugu Pan-Indian films in 2024 and beyond. The streamer has been putting efforts to make a mark in the Indian digital space and its upcoming South Indian slate is the first major push. ## The biggest film Netflix has acquired is the upcoming Pan India movie Pushpa - The Rule. Starring superstar Allu Arjun, the action drama film is scheduled to release theatrically on August 15, 2024, in multiple languages and it is likely to be available on Netflix after an 8-week theatrical window in Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, Kannada, and Tamil. ## Superstar Jr. NTR's action drama Devara - Part 1, directed by Koratala Siva, is another big Telugu Pan India film acquired by Netflix after its theatrical release, which is on April 5. The movie, just like Pushpa 2, is expected to be ready to stream after 8 weeks of the theatrical window in Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, Kannada, and Tamil. ## Director Prashanth Neel and superstar Prabhas' Salaar: Part 1 - Ceasefire, which was released during Christmas 2023 weekend, will also be streaming on Netflix soon. The movie has emerged as a big box office success with a worldwide gross collection of over 600 crores. Netflix will stream it in Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, and Tamil language. ## The line-up also includes Vijay Deverakonda's untitled action drama film VD 12, directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri. The theatrical release date of the movie is not locked yet.
