Sanjay Dutt Gets Paid Hefty Remuneration For Puri Jagannadh's 'Double iSmart'

Hyderabad, August 2 - Bollywood star Sanjay Dutt is getting busy in the South Indian film industry with back-to-back films in multiple languages. The actor recently officially announced his maiden Telugu movie "Double iSmart" with director Puri Jagannadh. ## "Double iSmart", which is the sequel to "iSmart Shankar", will see Ram Pothineni reprising his lead role. Sanjay Dutt has been roped in to play the main antagonist and the makers recently launched his first look poster as Big Bull.## Now, according to Aakashavaani, the "Munna Bhai MBBS" star got paid a hefty remuneration of 15 crores for his role. The actor will be shooting for 60 days for the film that recently completed its first schedule in Mumbai. The second schedule will commence soon abroad.## "Double iSmart" promises to be bigger on the scale and budget. The first movie was a huge blockbuster and the makers are hell-bent to repeat that with the sequel as well. Hyderabad, August 1 - Pawan Kalyan and Sai Dharam Tej's fantasy comedy film, "Bro" crashed badly on its first Monday after the good opening weekend collection. The drop on Monday is so bad that it has almost sealed the fate of the movie which needs to score at least 150 crores gross worldwide to break even. ## Directed by Samuthirakani, "Bro" grossed just 4.55 crores domestically on Monday, a sharp huge 77.22% drop from Sunday collection. The total domestic gross collection of the movie stands at approx. 80 crores, including approx. 70 crores in the two Telugu states (Andhra Pradesh and Telangana). The AP-TG gross includes approx. 47 crores share collection while the movie need to score approx. 81 crores share to break even which is looking unlikely now.## The overseas collection of "Bro" is approx. 12 crores in 4 days, and allied to the domestic total, the worldwide gross of the movie stands at approx. 92 crores. It is heading towards finishing as the lowest-grossing film of Pawan Kalyan post the covid-19 pandemic though it has become the highest-grossing film for Sai Dharam Tej, beating his recent blockbuster "Virupaksha" which gross approx. 89 crores worldwide.## The last three films, including "Bro", of Pawan Kalyan were remakes and none of the films could reach break-even. Though "Vakeel Saab" and "Bheemla Nayak" managed to come close to their target and emerged as moderate successes for the investors. Pawan Kalyan is playing a supporting role in the movie still he pulled up a massive crowd in cinemas on the opening day. ## Directed by Samuthirakani, "Bro" grossed a huge approx. 32 crores gross (excl. hires), including approx. 23.60 crores share collection in the two Telugu states, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Kochi, July 28 - Malayalam star Dulquer Salmaan will headline his next Pan India movie "Kaantha". DQ will produce the film under his banner Wayfarer Films in association with Rana Daggubati's Spirit Media.## While the plot details of the movie are kept under wraps for now, "Kaantha will be directed by Selvamani Selvaraj, whose debut feature "Nila" (2016) won the audience award at the Cinequest San Jose Film Festival. The filmmaker also assisted Ang Lee on the Oscar-winning "Life of Pi" (2012).## The movie was announced on DQ's birthday today. Directed by Sukumar, the movie was released in Japan on July 14, more than 5 years after its original release in 2018.## "Rangasthalam" has taken a decent start in Japan with ¥10.1 million or approx. 60 lakh in the 3-day opening weekend before ending the full week with ¥16.4 million or 95 lakh. The title has been kept after one of the names of Lord Vishnu as the movie is a mixture of mythology and science fiction. ## Earlier this year, makers announced that "Kalki 2898 AD" would be released on January 12, 2024, in multiple languages worldwide.
