Pawan Kalyan Reveals He Did Not Get Full Remuneration For Blockbuster 'Gabar Singh'

Hyderabad, February 5 - Telugu superstar Pawan Kalyan has revealed that he did not get his full remuneration for "Gabbar Singh" which is one of his biggest-ever blockbusters. ## Directed by Harish Shankar, "Gabbar Singh" was the highest-grossing Telugu movie of 2022. The movie is a remake of the 2010 Bollywood film "Dabangg" which was itself a huge hit. "Gabbar Singh" set new benchmarks for commercial cinema. ## Despite turning out to be a hugely profitable venture for the makers, the superstar wasn't paid fully and not what he actually asked for. Speaking about the movie on Balakrishna's Unstoppable (via Track Tollywood), Pawan Kalyan revealed that he received only part of his remuneration. ## Bandla Ganesh produced "Gabbar Singh" under Parameswara Cine Creations. It grossed over 140 crores at the worldwide box office and is the 3rd highest-grossing film of PSPK's career. The movie is showing no sign of fatigue at all and is breaking records with each passing day and week. ## Starring Jr. NTR and Ram Charan, "RRR" has completed 15 weeks at the Japan box office, grossing ¥825 million or approx. 51.70 crores. Interestingly, the 15th week was the biggest so far for "RRR" with a massive approx. ¥121 million. ## The makers have officially announced that a total of 514K people have already watched the movie until 2nd February, which is already the highest number of admissions for an Indian movie there. Hyderabad, February 1 - Superstar Prabhas's sci-fi film, tentatively titled "Project K" with director Nag Ashwin is going the "Baahubali" way.## The highest-anticipated film has been in production for a long time now. Also starring Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, and Disha Patani, the movie was supposed to release in 2022 but due to the delay in production, the maker postponed the release until officially announced. ## "Project K" is set in a futuristic world with never before seen visuals around the possibility of a 3rd World War. It is kind of the film that hasn't been touched before in Indian cinema and thus, makers are taking extra care in the making and coming up with the rock-solid output. ## According to Pinkvilla, it has now been revealed that "Project K" will be released in two parts, just like "Baahubali" which is one of the most loved Indian films of all time. The shoot for the first part of "Project K" is said to be wrapped up and filming for the second part is currently going on at a brisk pace. ## "The vision and plot point of Project K is so big that the makers have decided to make it a 2-part film. Hyderabad, January 17 - The new year of 2023 has kickstarted on a blockbuster note for the Indian film industry, led by South Indian films. Amid the uncertainty of the box office future due to heavy clashes, all four top releases - Varisu, Thunivu, Waltair Veerayya, and Veera Simha Reddy, this Pongal/Sankranthi festival have delivered big to step up the stage for upcoming films. ## Among the aforementioned films, Megastar Chiranjeevi's "Waltair Veerayya", and Nandamuri Balakrishna's "Veera Simha Reddy" have been produced by Mythri Movie Makers, one of the leading Telugu production houses. The studio was under extreme pressure before the release but after the opening weekend, it is having celebrations with the kind of response its films have got from the audiences. ## Both Mythri's films have crossed the 100 crores gross mark at the worldwide box office and are likely to achieve the break-even mark in the opening week itself. It is all set to become the biggest grosser for the veteran actor, surpassing "Akhanda" which grossed around 120 crores worldwide in 2021. ## Ahead of the release, the Chiranjeevi-starrer was having low advance booking as compared to "Veera Simha Reddy" and the opening was also lower than the NBK-fronted film, however, after the opening day of each, "Waltair Veerayya" started its dominance over other films at the Telugu box office.
