SS Rajamouli's 'RRR' In Race To Grab 3 Nominations At Golden Globe Awards

The movie is having an all-time high buzz for the Oscars 2023 and Golden Globe Awards nominations. ## "RRR" has been creating waves in the West and has been showered with the adulation of the audience. While the Oscars nominations will be announced in January 2023, the nominations for the Golden Globe Awards be announced on Monday, December 12, and "RRR" is in the race to grab a couple of nominations. ## Variety, a renowned American media company, has predicted "RRR's" nomination in the Best Picture (musical or comedy) and Best Non-English language feature categories. Apart from the Best Picture categories, the dance number of the year, "Naatu Naatu" by Kala Bhairava, M. M. Keeravani, Rahul Sipligunj from "RRR" has also been predicted to score a nomination in the Original Song category. ## The Golden Globe Awards are accolades bestowed by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association beginning in January 1944, recognizing excellence in both American and international film and television. Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna's 'Pushpa: The Rule' Release Plans Locked

Hyderabad, December 10 - Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna's Pushpa - The Rule is one of the most anticipated Indian films going forward. Directed by Sukumar, the movie is the second part of 2021's blockbuster Pushpa - The Rise, which grossed over 350 crores worldwide and shaped things perfectly for Pushpa 2 to explode at the box office. ## "Pushpa 2" was supposed to start production in the summer of 2022, but knowing how big it could be, the makers took enough time to shape up the story which appeals to each and everyone at the Pan India level. Reportedly, Sukumar also adds a few new characters and some cameos (rumor) and he finally kicked off the shoot recently with an announcement video. ## According to the latest reports, "Pushpa 2" will be hitting worldwide theaters in Summar 2024. It was expected to release during the second half of 2023 but it is unlikely to meet that deadline. The makers also have the option for Sankranthi 2024 release but for that, it might have to face other biggies at the box office. Multiple industry insiders have confirmed that makers are going for the Summar 2024 release in multiple languages. ## The regular shoot of "Pushpa 2" is said to be taking place in Bangkok forests. It will reportedly be a two weeks schedule in which key fight scenes will be shot. Hyderabad, December 6 - With an eye on the Oscars, SS Rajamouli's mega-blockbuster RRR has begun its awards hunt at the international level as the movie continues to spread its magic. ## SS Rajamouli has been honored with the Best Director award at the New York Film Critics Circle (NYFCC). He beats the likes of Steven Spielberg, and Darren Aronofsky to bag this major honor. Earlier, "RRR" won Best International Feature Film at the Saturn Awards. ## Apart from the aforementioned awards, "RRR" has also won the Best International Feature Film at Atlanta Film Critics Circle, and the latest award goes to "RRR" is the Hollywood Critics Association (HCA) Spotlight Award, which will be given to the Cast and Crew of the movie. ## In other big awards, composer M.M. Hyderabad, November 30 - Telugu superstar Ram Charan is not keen on doing a lot of remakes as he thinks that due to OTT platforms, the recall value of remakes has dropped. It has been seen in the recent box office performances where except for a couple of movies, remakes have failed badly across languages.## Ram Charan, who is currently shooting for director Shankar's political thriller film, recently produced "Godfather", starring Chiranjeevi. It was the remake of Mohanlal's Malayalam movie "Lucifer". The movie did decent business of little over 100 crores worldwide but that is mainly because of the star power of Chiranjeevi. ## "Godfather" was expected to do very well but because its dubbed version is already available on OTT, the movie couldn't give rich rewards to the makers. Ram Charan said during a recent interview that he is not keen on doing remakes and if he does, he would make sure that the original movie is not available in dubbed versions.## "I'm not sure I'd continue doing a lot of remakes. If I did a remake, I'd probably ask the original's producer not to release it on OTT. I might do a remake under those conditions. Otherwise, we'd all prefer to do original scripts in the future", he said.## Ram Charan, who headlined the multistarrer "RRR" directed by SS Rajamouli, recently confirmed his next film after Shankar's "RC15". Hyderabad, November 27 - Adivi Sesh's crime thriller Hit: The Second Case, which is the sequel to 2020's "Hit" movie, is one week away from its release in theaters. The trailer of the movie was recently launched and it received an anonymously positive response from the audience. ## Adivi Sesh's box office market has widened since after his last film Major, which was a big blockbuster. The makers have high expectations from his upcoming movie, and hence, the pre-release business of the movie is locked in a record price for Sesh. ## According to Telugu media reports, the theatrical rights of the movie in Telugu states have been sold in approx. 15 crores while the rest of India and overseas rights have been valued at approx. 3 crores. The movie will need to collect more than 18 crores to achieve the break-even target and earn a hit status. ## The aforementioned numbers are big for a tier-2 actor but keeping the recent box office track record of Adivi Sesh's films + the sequel factor of a hit movie, it should be an easy target for "Hit 2" if the talks are positive, which is very much expected. In 34 days at the box office, "RRR" has grossed ¥305 million (17.90 crores). It is the fastest Indian movie ever to reach ¥300 million in Japan, beating "Baahubali 2's" record.## Produced by DVV Entertainment, "RRR" has generated approx. 204K footfalls in 34 days and the makers have claimed that it has surpassed Rajamouli's own film "Baahubali 2's" lifetime collection to become the second highest-grossing Indian movie in Japan after Rajinikanth's "Muthu". ## "RRR" is having a solid run so far at the Japan box office, and with this current pace, it should easily cross "Muthu", which grossed ¥400 million, to become the biggest Indian movie of all time there. The actor was supposed to team up with the "Jersey" director Gowtam Tinnanuri for "RC 16", however, that movie has reportedly been shelved as Charan was not satisfied with the script.## Now, according to the latest reports, the "RRR" star will be doing "Uppena" director Buchi Babu Sana next. The movie is touted to be a sports drama, along the lines of Aamir Khan's "Dangal". The script has reportedly been completed and makers are planning to take the movie on floors after Sankranthi 2023. ## The official confirmation from the makers of "RC 16" is yet to be made, but it is said that Sathish Kilaru will be producing this big-budget film. The shoot of the movie was done a long time back but due to the heavy VFX, the post-production work is taking a bit longer time than expected.## Meanwhile, as the post-production is happening, the makers released the first teaser of the superhero movie, which is based on the epic character of the epic Ramayana, Lord Hanuman, but the story is based on current times. The teaser gives a brief view into the world created by Varma, and it can be termed an ambitious attempt at India's original superhero.## Made on a relatively lower budget than other VFX-heavy films, the "HanuMan" teaser is nothing short of a visual extravaganza.
