Hyderabad, October 18 - Thalapathy Vijay is almost done with the shoot of his maiden Telugu film Vaarasudu which is also being shot in Tamil as Varisu. The movie is being directed by Vamshi Paidipally and produced by Dil Raju and is slated for Pongal 2023 release.## After "Varisu", Thalapathy Vijay is committed to his Thalapathy 67 with director Lokesh Kangaraj, which will be a pan-India film. The shoot for the same is expected to start by December this year. Meanwhile, the latest talk in the town is that Thalapathy Vijay has also greenlit "Thalapathy 68". ## It has already been reported previously that Thalapathy would be reuniting with director Atlee for a mass entertainer, and now, according to the Telugu360 report, Telugu production house Mythri Movie Makers will produce this Pan India film. The movie will reportedly be shot in Tamil and Telugu, making the "Master" actor's second Telugu film after "Vaarasudu". ## The report further states that Mythri has already paid advance to Thalapathy Vijay and Atlee. Atlee is currently working on his Bollywood debut directorial Jawaan starring superstar Shah Rukh Khan in the title role. Hyderabad, October 15 - After months of wait, superstar Prabhas' film with director Maruthi is finally reportedly kickstarting its shoot on Monday with a puja in a Hyderabad studio. It will be a short schedule with Prabhas. ## According to the latest buzz in Tollywood, Prabhas will surprise his fans by playing a double role. It is said that the narrative of the movie, tentatively titled Raja Deluxe, is set in two distinct timelines, and it will reportedly see Prabhas playing the role of a grandfather and his grandson. ## Produced by DVV Entertainment, "Raja Deluxe" is touted to be a horror comedy film that will reportedly feature 3 heroines. While Malavika Mohanan and Nidhhi Agerwal are reportedly on board, the third heroine will be finalized soon. Sanjay Dutt has also been approached and he has almost been confirmed to star in the movie. ## Prabhas will shoot for about a week for Maruthi's film, after which he will fulfill his prior commitments to Prashanth Neel's "Salaar" and Nag Ashwin's "Project K". The teaser of "Adipurush" has widely been discussed on social media for its VFX shots, however, public opinion changed after the makers show the teaser on the big screen. ## Some of the Telugu websites reported that Vishnu Manchu criticized the "Adipurush" teaser and allegedly said that he felt cheated after watching the teaser. "You got to prepare the audience. The visuals of the Adipurush teaser look cartoonish and if you don't prepare and cheat the audience, then this is the reaction you will get", Vishnu said as per Telugu media. ## Now, the actor took to Twitter and called the news fake and said that some items in Telugu are trying to spread negative news to downgrade his own upcoming movie, "Ginna". Chennai, October 13 - Two of the biggest stars of Tamil cinema, Thalapathy Vijay and Ajith Kumar are shooting for their next films, titled Varisu, and Thunivu, respectively. The shooting of both films is in the last leg as they are getting ready for release in 2023. ## Thalapathy Vijay's "Varisu", which is directed by Vamshi Paidipally, is a Tamil-Telugu bilingual movie and it has already been announced to release on Pongal 2023, mostly on January 12. And now, the latest news is that the makers of "Thunivu" are also eyeing the Pongal release, mostly on January 13. ## "Thunivu" is directed by H. Vinoth and produced by Boney Kapoor in association with Zee Studios. Pongal has always lured Indian filmmakers, especially South filmmakers, to release their films in theaters and make the most out of it. This year, except for Nagarajuna's "Bangarraju", no other big films were released in theaters due to the 3rd covid-19 wave, but the 2023 Pongal festival will not have to face such things. ## Apart from the mega box office clash between Tamil superstars, the Telugu superstars are also coming with their films on Sankranthi. One of the biggest Indian films of 2023, Adipurush, starring Prabhas was long back confirmed to hit big screens on January 12, 2023, in multiple languages apart from original Hindi and Telugu. ## "Adpurush" is the only Pan-Indian film, releasing on Sankranthi 2023 occasion. Though there are split opinions over the box office collection of the movie, the makers are in the mood for celebrations and have declared the film a big hit not just in India but overseas as well. ## The success of "Godfather" has come as a sigh of relief for megastar Chiranjeevi who was under pressure after the disastrous performance of his last movie Acharya. The movie, directed by Koratala Siva, was rejected by the audience from the second day onwards and it ended up as a big loss venture to the distributors. ## It was reported that Koratala Siva returned his remuneration to the distributors to make their losses and now, Chiranjeevi also makes a big claim regarding "Acharya". During the latest media interaction, Chiranjeevi said that he takes full responsibility for the film's box office failure and claimed that he and Ram Charan returned 80% of their remuneration to the producers after Acharya was rejected.## Ram Charan played a key role in the movie. Chiranjeevi further said that they take full responsibility when a film fails and at the same time, have no guilty feelings about the "Acharya" film. As per the trade analysts and box office tracking sites, the movie has grossed around 90 crores worldwide.## The producers of the movie recently declared that "Godfather" has already grossed over 100 crores worldwide. After announcing the said numbers with an official poster, the audience, and the trade people started trolling the makers for allegedly exaggerating box office data.## Amid the allegations about manipulating numbers, producer NV Prasad has now announced in a press release that the movie has grossed 60 crores Share collection in Telugu states while the overseas collection is also very good, including $1.1 million in the USA. ## He said that the movie wasn't sold to others and was released by their own banners and also talk about the film's Hindi collection. "There are amazing collections everywhere. The film was not sold to anyone, we released our own. Revenue is very strong. The collections are amazing and beyond our expectations. Hyderabad, October 8 - Megastar Chiranjeevi's Godfather scores a jump of around 20% on its 4th day/first Saturday for an estimated 12-13 crores gross, pushing total domestic gross collection to around 60 crores. ## The jump on Saturday is good but the makers would have liked a bigger one considering the strong reviews and positive word of mouth. Nonetheless, the makers will still be happy seeing the jump as it found acceptance among the audience unlike Chiranjeevi's last film "Acharya" and that is a very good thing for the film's long run. ## Coming back to the first Saturday collection, the movie scores around 6.50 crores in the Share collection in the Telugu states, pushing the total AP/TG Share collection to over 32 crores in 4 days. It has been valued at approx. 90 crores and with no real competition until Diwali, a steady run should get the movie to reach there. ## The Hindi version of the film has underperformed so far with approx. 3.50 crores net, including an estimated 1 crore on the first Saturday. Hyderabad, October 8 - Actor Nikhil Siddhartha's mystical action adventure film Karthikeya 2 was a massive hit at the box office, grossing over 117 crores worldwide. The movie was also released in Hindi and grossed approx. 37 crores. It has been one of the biggest blockbusters of the year. ## Directed by Chandoo Mondeti, "Karthikeya 2" was released on the digital platform ZEE5 after 8 weeks of theatrical release on October 5 in Telugu, Hindi, and Tamil. Upon its digital debut, the movie continued from where it ended at the box office and scored a thundering 100+ crore streaming minutes in just 48 hours. ## ZEE5 didn't reveal language wise viewing minutes of "Karthikeya 2" but it certain that the Hindi version has contributed the most, followed by Telugu and Tamil.
