Ram Charan Reveals Further Release Plans Of 'RRR' In International Markets

Hyderabad, April 13 - Superstar Ram Charan has resumed the shooting for director Shankar's political thriller, RC15 (working title), after keeping himself busy in "RRR", which is now become a global rage. The SS Rajamouli-directed released over 10 overseas countries apart from India and already grossed over 1050 crores worldwide. ## Ram Charan, along with actor Jr. NTR, director Rajamouli, and producer DVV Danayya, have been traveling from one city to another to promote their film until recently. They have put in a lot of effort to promote their film which has paid off. During a recent interview with Deadline, Charan revealed that they are planning to release the film in more international markets and will be touring to promote it. ## "In October we are having a big grand release in Japan, so yes we are doing a couple of days tour in Japan and then China. We have released in 10 countries now and I believe we are exploring about 30 more different countries", he said. ## Talking about "RRR's" release in China, even though the date is not confirmed yet over there, China could be a massive market for the makers. In the past, Indian movies have worked wonders on Mainland, and thus, the latest period action drama movie could make it big considering its big scale and eye-pleasing visuals. ## The screenplay of "RRR" is penned by S. Mumbai, April 11 - The rise of "RRR" is unstoppable and it is continuing to roar at the box office. The Hindi version of the blockbuster film is racing towards the 250 crores net collection mark which is looking inevitable, thanks to yet another superb weekend. ## The SS Rajamouli-directed scored a brilliant 3rd weekend in Hindi with 23 crores net, dropping approx. 56% from the second weekend. The blockbuster 3rd weekend takes "RRR" to 231.59 crores net in Hindi. With this, it has become the 18th biggest Hindi grosser of all time. Hyderabad, April 9 - The Indian cinema needed SS Rajamouli (again) to give it the first 1000 crores worldwide grosser since his all-time blockbuster "Baahubali 2: The Conclusion". "RRR", a period action drama film full of cinematic brilliance, has become the 3rd Indian movie to go past the 10 Billion mark at the worldwide box office. ## Starring two of Telugu cinema's biggest superstars, Jr. NTR and Ram Charan alongside the cameos from Ajay Devgn and Alia Bhatt, "RRR", unlike "Baahubali 2" and "Dangal", reached the landmark box office figure during the covid-19 pandemic and it took just 16 days to get there. This makes this film stand apart from the rest of the other two titles. ## Apart from topping 1000 crores worldwide gross, "RRR" has crossed the 800 crores gross mark at the domestic box office, becoming only the second film after "Baahubali 2" to reach there. "RRR" has also become the first-ever movie to score 400 crores net in Telugu. Superstar Prabhas Compensate Distributors For The Loss Accrued Due To 'Radhe Shyam'

Hyderabad, April 8 - Pan India star Prabhas has reportedly compensated the distributors for their loss accrued due to the disastrous box office performance of "Radhe Shyam". ## Prabhas is one of the biggest names in Indian cinema and easily the most bankable star in the country. However, the actor's recently released period romantic drama film, "Radhe Shyam" failed to meet box office expectations which caused huge losses to the distributors. ## Known for his kindness, Prabhas reportedly took the initiative of compensating the investors and returned part of his remuneration to them. Made on a budget of around 300 crores, "Radhe Shyam" could only generate approx. 160 crores worldwide and was declared a disaster at the box office. ## The post-theatrical streaming rights of this Radha Krishna Kumar-directed were sold to Amazon Prime Video. The producers fetched a whopping amount of Rs 200 crores just from the satellite and digital rights which helped them to recover the cost. It was made available on Prime Video only after 21 days of theatrical release in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam. Mumbai, April 8 - The fictional friendship saga between two real-life Indian freedom fighters in the 1920s, "RRR" is going great guns at the box office, bringing joy among the audiences and exhibitors. The movie has completed two weeks at the box office and it has scored approx. 975 crores gross worldwide. ## The SS Rajamouli-directed period action drama film will become only the 3rd Indian movie to gross 1000 crores worldwide and the target will be archived by the 3rd Saturday. At the domestic box office, "RRR" has grossed approx. 790 crores in two weeks, including 245 crores in the dubbed Hindi version. ## The Hindi version of the film was always going to be very important for the makers as it involved high stakes. The movie has also delivered big time and emerged as a super hit by collection 208.59 crores net in two weeks. In the second week, "RRR" minted 76 crores, dropping just 42.70% from the opening week of 132.59 crores.## Talking about the all-time highest second week grossing Hindi movies, the Jr. NTR/Ram Charan-fronted epic takes the 10th spot on the list, dethroning "Padmaavat" (69.5 Cr.) from the position. The movie is nearing the 1000 crores worldwide gross mark, which will make it only the 3rd Indian movie of all time to achieve the feat.## On April 6, Jayantilal Gada of Pen Studios threw a success party for the RRR team in Mumbai and it was also attended by Aamir Khan, Javed Akhtar, and Karan Johar, Jitendra, among other top Bollywood personalities. The media was also invited and the journalists posed several questions about the film. ## During a Q&A session with the RRR team, one of the female reporters asked Ram Charan about overshadowing Jr. NTR in the movie. The current talk of the town has leapfrogged Salman Khan-fronted "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" and Aamir Khan's "Secret Superstar" to claim the 3rd spot among the Indian movies. ## The period action drama, starring Jr. NTR and Ram Charan in the lead roles, has scored 923 crores worldwide through the second Monday. At the domestic box office, the movie has grossed 745 crores while overseas, it minted approx. 178 crores. The USA is leading the overseas chart for "RRR" with approx. 95 crores. ## Salman Khan's "Bajrangi Bhaijaan, which is considered one of the finest Bollywood films of the last decade, had grossed 922.03 crores in its lifetime box office run. The overseas total of BB was higher than the domestic gross due to China, where it minted 295 crores. The total overseas cume finished at 489.47 crores against 432.46 crores gross in India. ## "Secret Superstar", a musical drama film that featured Aamir Khan in the extended cameo role, had grossed 912.07 crores worldwide, including 831.47 crores overseas.
