Venkatesh And Rana Daggubati To Star Together In A NETFLIX Crime Drama Series 'Rana Naidu'

Hyderabad, September 22: Amid the speculations, Venkatesh Daggubati and Rana Daggubati have been confirmed to star in a web series. The real-life uncle and nephew, Venkatesh and Rana will be starring in a crime drama series "Rana Naidu", which is an official adaptation of the American crime drama Ray Donovan, for Netflix. ## This is the first time when the two actors with massive fan followings will be sharing screen space. "Rana Naidu" story will follow the life of Rana Naidu, a professional fixer for Bollywood and Mumbai's elite. It will be produced by Sunder Aaron of Locomotive Global Media LLP and directed by Karan Anshuman and Suparn Verma. ## "It is completely different from what both of us have done in our careers so far. I am extremely happy to work with a crew and a platform that knows this format the best. It will be new, challenging, and fun. We are looking forward to filming soon", Rana said in a statement. ## Venkatesh added, "I cannot wait to work with Rana. I am sure we will have a blast on sets. The multi-season series will be directed by Rensil D'Silva, whose thriller "Dial 100", starring Manoj Bajpayee, Neena Gupta, and Sakshi Tanwar is debuting August 6 on ZEE5.## "Panthers" marks Screwvala's third collaboration with Blue Monkey after a thriller "A Thursday" and hockey biopic, Dhyanchand. The film is named after RD Burman's cabaret item number that was filmed on Helen in the 1971 movie, Caravan. ## Announcing the film, Netflix unveiled the first look posters of Radhika Apte, Rajkummar Rao, Huma Qureshi among others featuring in the film. The movie will be directed by Vasan Bala, known for Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota, Netflix series 'Ray', among others while it will be produced by Sarita Patil of Matchbox Shots. ## Director Vasan Bala said in a statement, "Making a noir film was always on my wishlist, and making it for Netflix with Matchbox Shots makes it an absolutely riveting combination. Mumbai, July 28, 2021: Ajay Devgn and Priti Sinha are producing a web series on Disney Plus Hotstar, titled "Six Suspects", the official adaptation of author Vikas Swarup's 2016 book by the same name. The show reportadly went on floors in February 2021 end. ## Ajay and Priti had assigned Tigmanshu Dhulia to direct the show while Scam 1992 fame Pratik Gandhi and Richa Chadha roped in to play the leading roles. The web show will also star Ashutosh Rana, Raghubir Yadav, and Sharib Hashmi in important roles. ## The "Six Suspects" web series marks Ajay Devgn's digital debut as a producer as well as Priti Sinha's. Priti is the daughter of (late) Vinay Sinha who produced the Salman Khan-Aamir Khan-Raveena Tandon-Karisma Kapoor's unforgettable comedy 'Andaz Apna Apna' (1994). Priti is Ajay's rakhi sister.## It has been reported that Ajay and Priti have acquired the rights to two books of Swaroop- 'Six Suspects' and 'The Accidental Apprentice'. Dhulia has completed 50 percent of the show in places like Delhi, Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, Allahabad and is currently shooting in Mumbai. ## Vikas Swarup's book "Q & A" was adapted into the academy-award-winning film 'Slumdog Millionaire' directed by Danny Boyle. It is said to be Disney Plus Hotstar's biggest Indian show ever which follows the cases of a troubled yet intelligent officer who is trapped between an unrelenting approach to investigating many murders and his attempts to restore his marriage, with a bold and genre-defining story and fascinating characters.## The series will reportadly be directed by Ferrari Ki Sawaari and Ventilator director Rajesh Mapuskar. Mumbai, July 24, 2021: The suspense about who will host the digital version of the controversial reality show, Bigg Boss is over as the filmmaker Karan Johar has been roped in to host the show. There were rumours floating on social media that either Sidharth Shukla, Farah Khan, or Rohit Shetty will host the mini version of the show, which all turns out to be false.## "My mom and I are huge 'Bigg Boss' fans and wouldn't miss it for a day. As a viewer, it keeps me hugely entertained with dollops of drama. For decades now, I have always enjoyed hosting shows and now with 'Bigg Boss OTT'... it will surely be over-the-top", says Karan.## Karan will anchor the show for the six weeks run of "Bigg Boss OTT", which premieres on August 8 on Voot. After the completion of the digital version, the show will move seamlessly into Colors with the launch of Season 15 of "Bigg Boss", which will be hosted by Salman Khan. ## "Bigg Boss OTT will undeniably have a lot more sensational and dramatic (content).
