Ajay Devgn's 'Shaitaan' Censor Certificate and Official Runtime Revealed
Mumbai, March 5 - Bollywood star Ajay Devgn set to thrill the audiences with his upcoming supernatural thriller film Shaitaan, co-starring R. Madhavan, Jyothika, and Janki Bodiwala. The Vikas Bahl's directorial movie is gearing up to release on March 8 on the occasion of Mahashivrati. ## Shaitaan is said to be the remake of the Gujarati film Vash, however, unlike the original version, the upcoming film has been granted a U/A certificate by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). The original movie got an 'A' (adult only) certificate from the censor board. ## According to reports, Shaitaan received 4 modifications from the Examining Committee (EC) of the CBFC while Vash was censored only after 8 major cuts. While the original film was 1 hour and 57 minutes long, Shaitaan reportedly has 2 hours and 12 minutes theatrical runtime. ## With the change in certification, it can be assumed that Shaitaan will be less gory than the original film. ## Shaitaan is produced by Devgn Films, Jio Studios, and Panorama Studios. It revolves around a happy family, who go on a vacation to a secluded village, where they encounter a mysterious man, who claims to be their well-wisher.
