Dunki vs Salaar Opening Day Advance Booking Comparision In India
Mumbai, December 16 - The stage is set for the biggest box office clash of the year to cheer up the Christmas 2023 weekend in the form of Shah Rukh Khan's Dunki and Prabhas-fronted Salaar: Part 1 - Ceasefire, releasing a day apart on December 21 and 22, respectively. ## Dunki, a comedy-drama based on illegal immigration, marks the maiden collaboration between the two giants of Bollywood cinema, SRK and director Rajkumar Hirani. It has been one of the most-anticipated films of the year and the fans are eager to witness this magical on-screen combo in theaters. ## Telugu superstar Prabhas teamed up with Kannada filmmaker Prashanth Neel for the first time on Salaar, an A-rated action drama about two best friends who turned biggest enemies. It story of the film will be completed in two parts, with the first part titled Salaar: Ceasefire releasing on December 22nd. ## Unlike Dunki, which will be released in just one language, Salaar is a Pan India film scheduled to hit in multiple languages. The booking of both movies started opening gradually. Salaar advances had a strong start and ended on a high note, and Dunki, on the other hand, picked up well once the full-fledged advance commenced in the evening on December 16 .## Have a look at the booking status of both films as of 6 AM on December 22 - ## Dunki - The film's opening day advances finished with good numbers. It sold approximately 558.8K tickets worth around 15.50 crores gross. Though the pre-sales are nowhere near SRK's previous two movies it is still good enough for the comedy-drama genre and has set up the stage for a very good opening.## Salaar - The movie has excellent pre-sales for the opening with close to 49 crores gross in all languages, which is highest for an Indian film of 2023. It sold approximately 22.38 lakh tickets via online booking. In Hindi, the movie managed to score decent sales by selling 218.5K tickets worth approximately 5.60 crores gross. ## The bookings for both movies are strong for the respective genre and that set the stage for big openings at the box office. Dunki, as expected, scored around 30 crores net on the first day while Salaar is expected to score 80+ crores net in all languages.## Stay tuned...
