Director Ayan Mukerji Reveals A Different Title Was Originally Planned For 'Brahmastra'
Mumbai, September 22 - It has been two weeks since director Ayan Mukerji's Brahmastra Part One: Shiva was released in theaters. The movie has been received very well by the audience and now, people are waiting for part two of the movie, titled "Dev". ## After watching the first part, fans are sharing their theories about what can happen in the second or third part and who can play the role of Dev and some other character. To discuss all these things, Ayan set down with one of the top comic book theorists of India i.e. Desi Nerd, super super, bnftv, PJ Explained, and Comic verse.## During their discussion about fans' theories, Ayan revealed that when he started writing the script, he had set the "Dragon" title for the movie. She said that the main character of the movie, Shiva (Ranbir Kapoor) has the power of fire and that the Dragon title would suit the movie. ## The filmmaker further revealed that when he started to go deeper into the script, his inspiration started shifting from Harry Potter and Lord of The Rings to more towards Indian history, towards Indian culture. As he progressed through the script, Ayan revealed that Indian history and culture were mostly in him and a title related to our culture will suit more. ## Since Shiva's character is inspired by lord Shiva, Ayan revealed that he understood the beauty and power he stands for and the same happened with the concept of Astras, the concept of Brahmastra. He said that Dragon was more looking like a superficial title and since his script work was more inclined towards Indian culture, he changed the title and named it "Brahmastra". ## ## Stay tuned...
