Producer Jackky Bhagnani Refutes Rumours Regarding 'Bade Miyan Chote Miyan'

Mumbai, August 2 - Film producer Jackky Bhagnani of Pooja Entertainment has burst down another major rumor regarding the upcoming big-budget movie, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, starring Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff. Ali Abbas Zafar is on board to write and direct this action entertainer. ## Jackky Bhagnani was responding to a report which states that the film was almost put on backburners due to budget issues. The report says that the makers have reworked on budget of the film and have been able to cut down at least 100 crores, including the 50% pay cut for Akshay Kumar and almost 30% each for Tiger and Ali Abbas Zafar. ## Reacting to the report, Jackky called this development completely incorrect and said that the movie was never going to be shelved. The producer confirmed that action will begin soon as the movie was always on track. However, he hasn't cleared whether the actors of the film have cut down their remuneration or not, but again, there is no reliable source saying Akshay and Tiger have cut down their fees. ## Absolutely InCorrect !! The shoot is expected to begin by the end of this year. ## The leading actresses are yet to be confirmed, but the reports say that the announcement regarding the same will be made in August. The family entertainer stars Ranveer Singh, and Alia Bhatt in the lead roles along with Dharmendra, Shabana Azmi, and Jaya Bachchan. ## Karan Johar took to Twitter and shared a BTS video, celebrating the film's talkie wrap. Karan was joined by Ranveer, Dharmendra, Shabana, and the rest of the team for the celebrations while Alia, who couldn't be a part of it physically, joined via video call. ## Apart from sharing the video, Karan penned a note, saying, "It's a talkie wrap on a piece of my heart...a kahani that became a journey which I will hold close to me forever! Mumbai, August 1 - The hit machine of Bollywood, Rohit Shetty is increasing the bar high for his next cop drama film Singham 3 with Ajay Devgn returning in the title role. While the filmmaker is currently busy in the post-production of Ranveer Singh-fronted "Cirkus", he has already started preparation for "Singham 3". ## During a recent interview with Pinkvilla, the maverick filmmaker revealed his plans for the third installment of the Singham franchise. Previously, it was reported that the shooting of "Singham 3" will start by the end of this year, however, Shetty confirmed that it will go on the floor in April next year as Ajay Devgn is busy with his current commitments. ## "We have already started working on Singham 3. It has been a long time since I made an out-and-out Singham film. We start the shoot next year in April. Ajay Sir is busy with his commitments and I am also busy with Cirkus. It is going to be the biggest cop universe ever that we have made to date", the filmmaker told. ## The man behind India's first cinematic cop universe (Singham, Simmba, Sooryavanshi), also confirmed that a female cop film will also happen soon in his cop universe, however, the details on the same are yet to be known. ## Meanwhile, Rohit Shetty is also working on his digital debut cop series, fronted by Sidharth Malhotra. It has been one of the films which went unnoticed in media headlines but found appreciation among its target audiences. ## When the movie was released on July 1st, it had a huge task in hand to deliver at the box office. The opening of the film in Hindi was approx. 95 lakh, and at that time, it looked like the film will also meet the other box office failures. However, with strong positive audiences' word of mouth and constant push by Madhavan through social media, the film started getting recognition and carried a consistent run at the box office on a lower level. ## The film managed to touch the hearts of the audience who respect the film as their own, which clearly reflected at the box office. The film has been 30 days since the movie was released in theaters and still running on a good number of screens. From the opening of 95 lakh, it has managed to collect more than 23 times till now for approx. 22.10 crores net (4 weeks), which is indeed a very big achievement. ## "Rocketry" is available on Voot but still getting footfalls in theaters. Shetty said that he always wanted to make this film, but he had a different reason to start this film in the pandemic. ## The "Singham" director has often insisted that his technicians are his biggest strength but because of the pandemic, they were left with no choice but to sit home without any job. During a recent interview with Pinkvilla, Shetty said that he wanted to restart the cycle of filmmaking for his technicians so that they could earn their livelihood. ## "Much like Sooryavanshi, Cirkus also has a history. Box Office: Shamshera Ends First Week On A Disappointing Note

Mumbai, July 29 - Yet another Yash Raj Films production bites the dust as Ranbir Kapoor-fronted biggie Shamshera, also starring Sanjay Dutt, and Vaani Kapoor, succumbed in the first week itself without putting up even a fight at the box office. ## Directed by Karan Malhotra, "Shamshera" was YRF's best bet among the five films in its current slot. The initial response to the movie was positive, as far as advance booking is concerned, but it couldn't sustain that momentum and ended up the first week with approx. 41 crores net, which is disastrous, to say the least. The worldwide gross collection is a little over 52 crores marks.## The period action drama film, which is made on a budget of around 150 crores, got largely affected by the reviews from critics, who slammed the movie left, right, and center as if, it was the worst movie ever made in Bollywood. The word of mouth was mixed, but that was not going to save the film from the wrath of self-claimed critics. ## "Shamshera" has nothing left in its show from hereon as it is another Bollywood movie post-pandemic to ended up becoming a one-week wonder. With "Ek Villain Returns" releasing today, things become even more difficult for Ranbeer Kapoor-starrer to retain screens. ## Yash Raj Films' next release is Shah Rukh Khan's comeback movie "Pathaan", which is scheduled to release on January 25, 2023. Later, the studios' "Tiger 3", starring Salman Khan will release on Eid 2023. YRF has had great success with the Tiger franchise while "Pathaan" is a new entry in its spy universe.
