A much-awaited and long-pending biopic of the Wing commander and former Indian Air Force pilot Rakesh Sharma is slowly moving towards reality after Bhaag Milkha Bhaag actor Farhan Akhtar reportedly put on board to play the ambitious role of Rakesh Sharma. ## The Rakesh Sharma biopic titled, 'Saare Jahaan Se Acchha' was first announced in 2018 with Amir Khan supposed to play the role of India's first-ever citizen to enter space. But he later dropped out of the film because of his dream project 'Mahabharat'.## After Amir Khan denied the film, Shah Rukh Khan replaced him to play the titular role before he too abandoned the project after his late 2018 release 'Zero' crashed at the box office. After SRK too didn't show any interest in the movie, it went on to many actors like Salman Khan, Vicky Kaushal, and late actor Sushant Singh Rajput but nothing worked. ## And now, according to a report in Mumbai Mirror, the makers have approached Farhan Akhtar to play the lead role of Rakesh Sharma. The Sushant Singh Rajput death mystery took a dramatic turn after his father Krishan Kumar filed an FIR against Sushant's girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty and 5 others in Patna, Bihar. In a 6-page long FIR, his father accused Rhea of abetment Sushant for suicide and also alleged that she was controlling Sushant's bank accounts as well as his medical condition. ## Now, there have been some new revelations in the case. After the actress filed a plea in the Supreme Court to transfer the case from Patna to Mumbai, Sushant's family lawyer Vikas Singh has reportedly alleged that somebody in the Mumbai police is helping Rhea Chakraborty. ## Speaking to PTI, Vikash Singh said, "If she (Rhea) has moved the apex court, she should have filed a petition seeking CBI investigation. FIR is registered in Patna, now she has filed a petition in Supreme Court seeking stay and transfer of investigation to Mumbai. The recently released Dil Bechara starring Sushant Singh Rajput and Sanjana Sanghi broke all the viewership records for an Indian movie on the digital platform. Disney+Hotstar that premiered the movie on July 24 registered the highest ever viewership with 95 million views within the first 24 hours of film's release. ## According to a Mid-Day report, a representative for the firm, Ormax Media, believes the numbers are comparable to viewership figures of the massively popular HBO series Game of Thrones, although he didn't provide any further data.## "If one wants to, comparisons could be drawn of Dil Bechara, and that of Game of Thrones, and this was possible even though the latter had a pre-existing viewer-base, while the film [did not]. Then again, Hotstar promoted Dil Bechara from the onset, marketing its release date and time well in advance. Filmmaker Karan Johar To Be Questioned By Mumbai Police In Sushant Singh Rajput Death Case

In the latest development under the Sushant Singh Rajput death case, Mumbai Police have asked Dharma Productions owner Karan Johar to record his statement before Mumbai Police this week. Mumbai Police will also record Dharma Production CEO Apoorva Mehta's statement on Tuesday in the Sushant's case.## Earlier in the day, director Mahesh Bhatt recorded his statement. Mr. Bhatt reached the Santacruz police station at 11:30 AM and recorded his statements before Deputy Commissioner of Police Abhishek Trimukhe.## Apart from Mahesh Bhatt, Karan Johar's manager and actor Kangana Ranaut have been asked to join investigations into the case, Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh said on Sunday. ## Kangana Ranaut who has been very vocal in this case and even alleged that Sushant Singh Rajput was a victim of nepotism in the film industry, has also been summoned by the Bandra police, which is investigating the case. She is currently in Himachal Pradesh since March 17, has requested police to send a team to the state to record her statement in person.## Sushant Singh Rajput was found hanging in his apartment in Mumbai on June 14.
