Chennai, August 2 - The wait is over as superstar Rajinikanth is back in full form with the trailer of the much-awaited action thriller Coolie, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. Released on August 2 during a grand event in Chennai, the trailer has taken social media by storm, showcasing vintage Rajini charm, gritty visuals, and a gold-smuggling plot wrapped in explosive action. ## A Smuggler's Saga With a Mass Makeover ## The stylish three-plus-minute-long trailer of the film shows the ensemble cast involved in an intense action drama, led by Rajinikanth and a surprise cameo of Aamir Khan. Set against the backdrop of watch and gold smuggling, the high-octane actioner promises to keep audiences on the edge of their seats. ## Director Lokesh Kanagaraj sets the tone for a gritty, emotional journey that brings together old-school gangster elements and stylised action choreography, much like his previous works in the Lokesh Cinematic Universe (LCU). The movie has a powerhouse ensemble, which also includes cast, Nagarjuna, Shruti Haasan, Sathyaraj, Upendra, and Soubin Shahir. ## While the trailer focuses primarily on Rajinikanth, glimpses of other characters suggest high-voltage confrontations and layered character arcs. ## Anirudh's Electrifying Score ## Music composer Anirudh Ravichander once again elevates the visuals with a thumping background score that blends folk percussion with modern sound design.
