Yash's 'KGF: Chapter 3' Re-Confirmed As Makers Celebrate 3 Years of Monster Blockbuster 'KGF: Chapter 2'

Bengaluru, April 14 - The biggest blockbuster from the Kannada film industry KGF: Chapter 2 starring superstar Yash and directed by Prashanth Neel, was released on this day (April 14) three years ago, and the rest is history. ## The action drama set the box office on fire upon its release and went on to become the highest-grossing Kannada film of all time with a worldwide collection of over 1200 crores. It is miles ahead of the rest of the Kannada titles and an uphill task for the industry to achieve. ## Produced by Hombale Films, KGF: Chapter 2 is the second part of KGF (2018), but it wasn't the end of the series, as the makers promised the third part in the post-credit scene of part 2. Over the last 3 years, the makers have reiterated their commitment to bring the next chapter, and they have reconfirmed the same again on the third anniversary. ## On Monday, Hombale Films shared over a 2-minute-long trailer-type celebratory video featuring the blockbuster moments of KGF 2 and at the end of it, the studio has promised to come up with KGF: Chapter 3 soon. There are no other details about the next film that have been revealed yet. ## The makers had earlier promised to start the third installment in 2025, but the delay was always on the cards, given the other commitments of both Yash and director Neel. While Yash is currently working on Toxic and Ramayana, Neel is directing superstar Jr. NTR-fronted Dragon, and all 3 films will hit the big screens in 2026. KGF 3 is expected to start rolling by 2026 end or 2027, once the duo completes their ongoing and other planned films.## He came… He saw… He conquered!Celebrating 3 GLORIOUS YEARS of #KGFChapter2 and the Monster’s mayhem at the box office ❤️‍🔥- https://t.co/atPSFXN1nA#3YearsOfKGF2Rampage@TheNameIsYash #PrashanthNeel @VKiragandur @hombalefilms @duttsanjay @TandonRaveena @SrinidhiShetty7… pic.twitter.com/HMYimSa35a— Hombale Films (@hombalefilms) April 14, 2025 ## Stay tuned...

Box Office: 'Jaat' Fourth Day/First Sunday Early Estimates

Mumbai, April 13 - Sunny Deol's action drama Jaat has packed a solid punch on its first Sunday at the domestic box office. The film has witnessed a fantastic jump of around +40% and comfortably crossed the double-digit mark for the first time. ## According to early estimates, Jaat has scored in the range of 13.50-14.50 crores net collection on its first Sunday, pushing the extended 4-day weekend to around 40 crores net, which is a good total. This is the second biggest opening weekend ever for a Sunny Deol-starrer after Gadar 2 (135+ crores net in 3 days). ## The movie remained super solid in mass pockets, while multiplexes too have come on board and saw a healthy jump on Sunday, which was expected since the film witnessed a marginal growth in multiplexes on Saturday collections. These are positive signs which show the movie has found acceptance beyond the masses. ## Jaat will be looking at another good hold on Monday due to the Ambedkar Jayanti holiday, which might take its 5-day total to around 50 crores net. The lack of competition is also an advantage for the movie, and this is likely to help it during the weekdays, as word of mouth is positive. ## There will be a big competition for Jaat in the second weekend in the form of Akshay Kumar's Kesari 2, but if it manages to hold steady after the Monday holiday, the movie stands a very good chance to enter the 100 crores club, which should be deemed as a success for it. ## Stay tuned...

Box Office: 'Jaat' Opening Day Early Estimates

Mumbai, April 10 - Sunny Deol-fronted action drama Jaat has taken a decent to good start at the domestic box office with collection flirting with double-digit opening. The response in mass belts, which is its target audience, is easily among the best of the year. ## According to early estimates, Jaat is looking to score in the range of 9-10 crores net collection, which is the 4th biggest opening for a Bollywood title of the year. The industry has been feeling the heat due to the low success ratio this year, and Jaat comes as a much-needed relief. ## The film is best in mass belts, which show an upward trend throughout the day due to positive word of mouth. However, at the same time, it is poor in metro cities, which is expected as the content of the movie is not aimed at them. ## Jaat also benefited from the poor performance of Salman Khan's Sikandar, which goes down further under the 1 crore mark, and with no hope to bounce back, the Sunny Deol-starrer has a clear road for at least a week before Akshay Kumar's Kesari 2 arrives. ## The movie is likely to see a little drop on Friday, but is expected to score well on Saturday and Sunday as the initial reception among its target audience is positive. At this point, the 4-day opening weekend is heading for 40-50 crores net, which is good. ## Stay tuned...
