The film, produced by Mythri Movie Makers and NTR Arts, is currently in production, and the makers are set to release a big update on April 9. ## NTR-Neel/Dragon was announced a long time back, and the makers confirmed last year that it would hit the big screens during the Sankranthi festival in 2026. However, according to the latest Telugu media report, the hugely anticipated action drama will be delayed to the summer of 2026. ## It is said that Dragon will now hit the big screens on April 9, 2026, in multiple languages, and the official announcement for the same is expected to be made on Wednesday, April 9, 2025. The project has been making tremendous noise on social media for the last few days due to various reasons and now, the filmmaker has responded to those rumours. ## Recently, a report emerged that Deepika Padukone will reunite with Anand and SRK to play an extended cameo role. The announcement video of the film, tentatively titled AA22xA6, shows Allu Arjun along with director Atlee and producer Maran meeting at Sun Pictures' office in Chennai, where they discussed the project. ## The video then shows the trio fly to Los Angeles to visit Lola VFX Studio along with Spectral Motion, Fractured FX, ILM Technoprops, Ironhead Studio, and Legacy Effects to discuss this magnum opus project. Some of the artists of these studios can be heard hailing the vision of the makers and calling the story unbelievable and never heard before. ## The BTS footage of the announcement video has raised expectations, and it seems the makers are trying to create something the Indian audience has never seen before. Pictures' video game adaptation A Minecraft Movie. ## Starring Jason Momoa, the fantasy adventure comedy film, based on the 2011 video game Minecraft, has shattered records at the domestic (North America) and worldwide box office to score the biggest opening weekend ever for a live-action video game adaptation title. ## Made on a budget of $150 million, Minecraft struck gold with a record-shattering $163 million opening domestically, the biggest for a video game adaptation, beating The Super Mario Bros Movie's $146.4 million. It scored the best 3-day opening weekend start since Deadpool and Wolverine in July last year. ## Overseas, the film minted a huge $150.70 million in the 5-day weekend over 74 markets, pushing total opening to $313.70 million, which is the best live-action and second-best video game adaptation, only under The Super Mario Bros Movie's $377 million.## The film has come much higher than even the most optimistic industry projection to stun the Hollywood trade. Kochi, April 5 - Superstar Mohanlal's action thriller L2: Empuraan has become the highest-grossing Malayalam film of all time after beating last year's mega blockbuster Manjummel Boys in just 9 days at the worldwide box office. ## The sequel to the 2019 movie Lucifer, Empuraan has grossed approximately 241.50+ crores worldwide, including 106.50+ crores domestically through the second Friday. It has beaten the lifetime total of Manjummel Boys, which scored 241 crores in 2024. ## Empuraan is currently the third biggest Mollywood grosser in India after 2018 (110.50 crores gross) and Aadujeevitham (167.50 crores), while it is by far the biggest grosser at the overseas box office with 135+ crores, which is nearing double the second best Manjummel Boys (73.40 crores). ## Among the biggest grossers of the year, Empuraan is currently in third place behind Sankranthiki Vasthunam (255+ crores gross) and Chhaava (800+ crores gross) globally. The RRR star was invited as the chief guest for the event, where he confirmed his next four films. ## It is known to all that Jr. NTR is presently shooting for Prashanth Neel's action drama, tentatively titled Dragon, along with his big Bollywood debut under Yash Raj Films, War 2, a spy action thriller which also stars Hrithik Roshan and is directed by Ayan Mukerji. ## Apart from the aforementioned films, the Telugu superstar reaffirmed Devara 2, to be directed by Koratala Siva, amid the endless rumours. The actor stressed that the second part of his 2024 hit will definitely be made, and the shoot for the same will start after Dragon. ## There have been rumours that Jr. NTR will team with Jailer director Nelson Dilipkumar for an action drama film. Kochi, April 4 - Superstar Mohanlal's action thriller L2: Empuraan has topped 100 crores gross collection at the Indian box office, becoming only the 4th Malayalam movie of all-time to achieve the feat. ## Directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran, Empuraan scored approximately 4.50 crores gross collection on its 8th day, which took its total to around 103 crores gross domestically. The collection includes approximately 71.50 crores gross in the home state, Kerala. ## Empuraan is the 4th Malayalam film after Manjummel Boys (167.50+ crores gross), 2018 (110.50 crores gross), and Pulimurugan (100 crores gross), and the second for Mohanlal to score the milestone of 100 crores gross in the domestic market.## The film might become the biggest Mollywood grosser in India, but for that to happen, it needs to perform strongly outside Kerala, which hasn't happened due to mixed word of mouth.
