Chennai, November 29 - Tamil superstar Ajith Kumar's much-awaited action thriller Vidaamuyarchi unveiled the teaser on November 28 at 11:08 PM without the prior announcement. The teaser, which has no dialogue, looks stylish with action-packed visuals. ## Directed by Magizh Thirumeni, Vidaamuyarchi surprisingly has been confirmed for Pongal 2025 release though the exact date is yet to be revealed. It is worth noting that Ajith Kumar's action comedy Good Bad Ugly is also scheduled for the same slot release in Tamil and Telugu. ## Despite the confirmation of the Pongal release, the Tamil media reports suggest that Good Bad Ugly won't be ready to meet the deadline and will most likely be postponed to the March/April release. Hyderabad, November 28 - Superstar Allu Arjun-fronted action drama Pushpa 2 - The Rule has been censored with a U/A certificate by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) with a few minor edits in the dialogue and some replacements.## Directed by Sukumar, the film's official runtime is 200 minutes (3 hours and 20 minutes), making it one of the longest Indian films and easily the longest of the year. The theatrical runtime of the film is close to Ranbir Kapoor's Animal which was 3 hours and 21 minutes long and went on to become one of the biggest blockbusters at the box office. ## As said, the CBFC has asked the makers to make some changes or replace certain words to comply with the U/A certificate. It is revealed in the certificate that the word "r**ndi" has been replaced with Lapaki while a couple of violent scenes have also been modified. ## The censor reports are said to be highly positive which has increased the excitement among the audience further. Chennai, November 28 - Vijay Sethupathi's action thriller Maharaja could be up for rich rewards at the China box office after the film off to an impressive start in the premieres there. The movie is scheduled for a full-fledged release on November 29. ## Directed by Nithilan Saminathan, Maharaja grossed approximately $630K (5.40 crores) in the premieres and sold approximately 118K tickets. The advance booking for the opening day is 100K with 18K tickets sold over 26.8K showings. ## There has been a shortage of Indian titles at the Chinese box office in recent times and those which got released during this period failed to make a mark. Chennai, November 28 - Superstar Rajinikanth made a roaring comeback at the box office with director Nelson Dilipkumar's action drama Jailer which grossed over 600 crores worldwide. Shortly after the mega success, the sequel of the movie was confirmed and is now gearing up to roll out soon. ## According to the latest reports, the look test of Rajinikanth for Jailer 2 happened recently and a promo shoot for the same will be done on December 5. It is reported that the film will be officially announced on the superstar's birthday on December 12 with the first look promo. ## Director Nelson Dilipkumar has reportedly completed the script work of Jailer 2 and the rest of the cast for the same is being finalized. Sun Pictures will produce this mega project which is easily one of the most anticipated Tamil films in the making.## The original film follows "Tiger" Muthuvel Pandian (Rajinikanth), a retired jailer who decides to protect his family from idol smuggler Varman. A Sequel To Tamil Blockbuster '96' In Development

Mumbai, November 27 - Vicky Kaushal's historical action drama Chhaava has been postponed to February 2025. The film, directed by Laxman Utekar, was supposed to hit the big screen on December 6 and was to clash with Allu Arjun's Pushpa 2 - The Rule before Maddock Films decided to shift the release. ## Produced by Dinesh Vijan of Maddock Films, Chhaava will now be released on February 14. The release date holds special significance since it coincides with Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti on 19 February. The movie is an adaptation of the Marathi novel Chhava by Shivaji Sawant and is based on the life of Maratha king Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, played by Vicky Kaushal.## Chhaava also stars Rashmika Mandanna as Maharani Yesubai Bhonsale and Akshaye Khanna as Aurangzeb along with others in key roles.## Meanwhile, the postponement of Chhaava to February 14, 2025, means Shahid Kapoor and Pooja Hegde's action thriller Deva has been moved up by a couple of weeks. Directed by Rosshan Andrrews, the movie will now be released on January 31 after getting preponed from February 14. ## Deva, produced by Roy Kapur Films and Zee Studios, will be Shahid Kapoor's next theatrical release after this year's romantic comedy Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya which was a box office hit. Hyderabad, November 27 - Superstar Allu Arjun's Pan India action drama film Pushpa 2 - The Rule is all set to have a very good start at the overseas box office, thanks to the superb response in the pre-sales which has crossed $2 million for the opening day, including premieres. ## In North America, the opening day pre-sales are $1.80+ million, including $1.6+ million for the premiere alone. The total advance booking gross (for all days) in NA has crossed $2 million which is said to be the fastest for an Indian title with a week still to go for the release. ## Apart from North America, Pushpa 2 has scored $230K+ advance sales in the UK for the opening day while Gulf booking is around $80K+ and Australia and other market sales are $215K+ so far. The total overseas pre-sales for the film are around $2.30+ million (19.50 crores) for the first day. ## The trade is expecting 50+ crores opening for Pushpa 2 which will be the biggest for a Allu Arjun-starrer. Hyderabad, November 26 - The record will be in sight as the pre-sales of the highly-anticipated Pan India movie Pushpa 2 - The Rule starring superstar Allu Arjun begins next week. The buzz for this Sukumar's directorial is at an all-time high and the stage is set to make the most of it. ## Scheduled to be released on December 5, the pre-sales of Pushpa 2 is expected to open on November 30, Saturday which is 5 days before the release in India. As said, the movie will be targeting the biggest opening day as well as the weekend pre-sales in India, especially in Hindi. ## The current opening day pre-sales record is with superstar Yash-fronted KGF: Chapter which scored around 40 crores gross (with block seats) for the opening day. Hyderabad, November 26 - In less than 2 weeks, superstar Allu Arjun's highly-anticipated action drama Pushpa 2 - The Rule hits the big screen and expectations are that it will be among the biggest Indian openers, and possibly the biggest opener at the box office. ## Over the last couple of years, Indian cinema has seen some of the biggest blockbusters which exceeded theatrical runtime of 3 hours. After Barbenheimer Phenomena, Glicked Strikes At The Box Office

Los Angeles, November 26—Last year, the Barbenheimer (Barbie and Oppenheimer) phenomenon stormed the box office from its record-breaking start to its historic finish. Both movies collectively grossed over $2.4 billion worldwide and were two of the year's highest-grossing films, with Barbie finishing at the top with $1.44 billion. ## More than a year later, another box office clash called Glicked (Gladiator II and Wicked) is making waves. It is not exactly as big as Barbenheimer but powerful enough to keep the trade excited going forward where Wicked is behaving like Barbie while Gladiator II can be the Oppenheimer. ## The Ridley Scott's directorial R-rated epic historical action drama, Gladiator 2 has already surpassed $200 million globally after debuting internationally on November 13. Through Sunday (November 24), G2 has made $165.5 million at the overseas box office while it debuted domestically (North America) on November 22 and grossed $55 million in the opening weekend for a worldwide cume of $220 million. ## Wicked, which is a musical fantasy film starring Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande, had a strong debut domestically with a huge $112.5 million opening weekend. Chennai, November 25 - Tamil star Suriya's most ambitious film Kanguva has crossed 100 crores gross at the worldwide box office. While this could have been a major milestone of any other film of Suriya, the same is not with Kanguva which is facing outright rejection from audiences after a promising yet underwhelming start. ## Directed by Siva, Kanguva was a film keenly awaited by audiences and was seen as a potential big blockbuster at the box office. But all the hype around the film faded immediately after it got a disastrous reception from the moviegoers and critics upon release and there was no relief since then. ## The film crossed 100 crores gross at the worldwide box office on its 10th day. Domestically, Kanguva has grossed approximately 78 crores, including around 32 crores gross in Tamil Nadu. Box Office: 'Kal Ho Naa Ho' Re-Release Second Weekend Collection

Mumbai, November 25 - Shah Rukh Khan, Saif Ali Khan, and Preity Zinta-starrer two-decade-old romantic comedy Kal Ho Naa Ho continued to impress in its re-release run at the box office amid the few other choices available. ## Directed by Nikhil Advani, the movie was re-released on November 15 and scored approximately 2.40 crores gross collection in the first week. It remained the number 1 choice in the second weekend among the re-release titles and grossed solid around 1.30 crores. ## After 10 days, the total re-release collection of KHNH is around 3.70 crores gross (3.15 crores net), making it already one of the biggest Bollywood re-release grossers of the year. It comfortably beat Karan Arjun and Pushpa - The Rise which got re-released this past weekend and minuted around 1 crore and 70 lakh gross, respectively in the opening weekend. ## With new releases slowing down, KHNH should run steadily until December 5, when the highly anticipated Pushpa 2—The Rule will be released.
