'The Batman 2' Release Date Postponed By A Year; A New Date Is Locked
Los Angeles, March 13 - Robert Pattinson-led The Batman Part II release date has been postponed by a year and it will now be debuting in theatres in 2026. ## The sequel to director Matt Reeves' superhero movie The Batman was first announced during CinemaCon in April 2022 and in January 2023, the movie was officially scheduled for October 2025 release and has now been pushed back to October 2, 2026. ## According to The Hollywood Reporter, the delay in the film was caused by the writers' strike last year. It is said that the script of the sequel is far from being ready and the movie will only go on floors by early 2025. ## The Batman, which is a reboot of the Batman film franchise, was released in March 2022 and enjoyed a very good run at the box office. The movie scored the second biggest opening at the North American box office post the covid-19 pandemic with $134 million and went on to gross over $770 million globally. ## It stars Robert Pattinson as Bruce Wayne / Batman alongside Zoë Kravitz as Catwoman, Paul Dano, Jeffrey Wright, John Turturro, Peter Sarsgaard, Andy Serkis, and Colin Farrell. ## Stay tuned...
