Mumbai, July 9 - Actor Vicky Kaushal, Ammy Virk, and Tripti Dimri's yet-untitled film by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions gets a new release date in theaters. The film is directed by Anand Tiwari and co-produced by Leo Media Collective in association with Amazon Prime Video. ## The film has been postponed to February 23, 2024, from its earlier announced August 25, 2023, release date in cinemas. Makers' Huge Demand For 'Salaar' Theatrical Rights In Telugu States?

Hyderabad, July 9 - After shattering box office records with "KGF: Chapter 2" last year, director Prashanth Neel's next blockbuster "Salaar" with one of the biggest Indian superstars Prabhas is having huge anticipation as the release date getting nearer. ## The teaser of the movie was recently launched which has raised anticipation, not just among the fans, but also in the trade which is expecting the movie to do wonders at the box office. As the pre-release buzz has escalated, the makers of "Salaar" have reportedly started negotiating for the film's theatrical rights. ## As per the buzz in the Telugu trade, the makers are demanding as high as 190-200 crores for theatrical rights in the two Telugu states, including around 70 crores alone in the Nizam region. The asking price for the Ceded area is said to be around 35 crores while the same is around 90 crores in Andhra Pradesh, according to a report from Track Tollywood. ## The aforementioned quoted amount is in the lines of SS Rajamouli's "RRR" starring Jr. NTR and Ram Charan which the movie easily covered and gave the buyers huge profit. However, in the case of "Salaar", the buyers are reportedly hesitant as a couple of recent films of Prabhas didn't do the expected business and ended up as loss ventures in Telugu states. ## There is no doubt "Salaar" will take a huge opening nationwide as the combination of Prashanth Neel and Prabhas, backed by a reputed production house which is Hombale Films, is too big to go unnoticed. However, after facing back-to-back losses, the buyers might find it difficult to commit to the high demand for theatrical rights even though they are aware it is a big box office tentpole movie. ## As confirmed by the makers with the teaser itself, "Salaar" will be released in two parts with the first part, titled "Salaar Part 1 - Ceasefire", slated for September 28, 2023, release in Telugu, Kannada, Tamil, Malayalam, and Hindi languages. Mumbai, July 9 - Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani's musical romantic drama film "Satyaprem Ki Katha" is heading for a healthy lifetime collection at the domestic box office. Despite being not a mass-friendly film, it has done well in the first week to enter the second weekend with a bang. ## After dropping just 5% on its second Friday for 2.85 crores net, the Sameer Vidhwans-directed flick scored a big jump of 66.67% on its second Saturday to collect 4.75 crores net. This takes the total net collection to 60.81 crores in 10 days. It is expected to score a further jump today and is likely to bring in 5.50 crores for the second-weekend collection of around 13 crores. ## SPK also has done decently at the overseas box office to score approx. 13 crores net (estimated). The worldwide collection of the movie currently stands at around 85 crores gross and it will soon enter the 100-crore gross club globally. ## The Sajid Nadiadwala production has been able to attract its target multiplex audiences, especially the youth which is loving this romantic saga. Los Angeles, July 9 - Marvel Studios's "Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings" is one of the most loved Marvel movies post the covid-19 pandemic and now, its sequel is in development but it keeps getting pushed back, according to actor Simu Liu. ## Simu Liu, who played the title role of Shang-Chi in the original movie, recently shared an update on the sequel on his Threads account, a new social media app launched by Meta. The actor indulged in a question-answer session.## One of the fans asked the actor to provide an update on the highly-anticipated sequel to his 2021's blockbuster, to which, Liu said that because of the Avengers movies, the sequel keeps getting pushed as it seems to follow the events of upcoming Avengers movies. ## "Was told it would follow Avengers. But that keeps pushing back due to circumstances beyond my control", the actor said and added that he hopes "to have more concrete news to share soon". ## Disney has recently made changes to its release calendar, including pushing back "Avengers: Secret Wars" to May 7, 2027. "Avengers: The Kang Dynasty", which has embattled Jonathan Majors attached to the lead role, has also been pushed a year to May 1, 2026, among several other movies.## Written and directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, "Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings" was the first film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe to feature an Asian lead and a predominantly Asian cast. Mumbai, July 8 - Director Rajkumar Hirani's maiden film with superstar Shah Rukh Khan, "Dunki" is one of the hugely anticipated films in the making. It is a social comedy-drama film based on the rampant use of an illegal backdoor route called 'Donkey Flight' to immigrate to countries like Canada and the USA. ## "Dunki" is scheduled to release during the Christmas weekend this year and it is expected to be one of the biggest hits of Indian cinema. The movie is currently the post-production work and in between, the makers have already reportedly locked the non-theatrical rights of the film. ## It was recently reported that the non-theatrical rights of "Dunki" have been sold in a whopping amount of approx. 230 crores, and now, it has been revealed that the streaming rights alone have fetched 155 crores, making it the biggest post-theatrical OTT deal for an Indian movie in a single language. ## According to Bollywood Hungama, "Dunki" will be streaming on Jio Cinema after its theatrical release. "This is the biggest deal in the history of Indian Cinema for a film released in a single language. It has got a lot to do with the brand of Rajkumar Hirani coming together with the brand of Shah Rukh Khan", says the report. ## "Dunki" is a co-production of SRK's Red Chillies Entertainment with Rajkumar Hirani Films. Los Angeles, July 8 - Hollywood superstar Tom Cruise's upcoming action thriller Mission: Impossible - Death Reckoning Part 1 is soaring high with the glowing critics' reviews who are calling the 7th installment the best film in the franchise. ## The review embargo of "Mission Impossible 7" lifted a couple of days ago and as things stand today, it has become the highest-rated film of Tom Cruise on Rotten Tomatoes. At the time of writing this piece, the critics' score for the film stands at a staggering 99% from 147 reviews and this score is likely to stay. ## "Mission: Impossible - Fallout" (2018) was previously the highest-rated movie of the Hollywood star with a 97% critics' score on RT from 442 reviews, followed by last year's mega-blockbuster "Top Gun: Maverick" which has a 96% score from 469 reviews. ## The glowing reviews of "MI7" should be enough for the movie to take the biggest opening in the Mission Impossible franchise as already predicted by Hollywood trade. 'Carry on Jatta 3' Becomes The Highest-Grossing Indian Punjabi Movie of All-Time

Mumbai, July 7 - Punjabi superstar Gippy Grewal's comedy "Carry on Jatta 3" has surpassed the lifetime collection of its predecessor to become the highest-grossing Indian Punjabi movie of all time at the worldwide box office. ## Directed by Smeep Kang, the third installment of the blockbuster franchise took just one week to become the biggest Indian Punjabi language movie. In its extended 8-day opening week, COJ3 grossed approx. 65 crores worldwide, surpassing COJ2's lifetime collection of approx. 58 crores to claim the top rank. ## At the domestic box office, COJ3 has grossed approx. 33 crores (~28 crores net) while the overseas collection is 32 crores (estimated) after the first week. It is now the second biggest Punjabi language film ever after the Pakistani movie "The Legend of Maula Jatt" which grossed around INR 80 crores (estimated). ## COJ3 will be eyeing to become the biggest Punjabi grosser as well as the first Punjabi title to reach 100 crores worldwide gross collection.
