Hyderabad, June 17 - It is very well known to everyone that Pan India superstar Prabhas is doing a horror-comedy film with Telugu director Maruthi. The movie also stars Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt in a prominent role along with Malavika Mohanan as the female lead.## The movie hasn't been officially announced yet but it went on floors last year and preceding slowly due to Prabhas' busy schedule. Meanwhile, it was reported that the movie got titled "Raja Deluxe" but the latest reports have revealed that it will have a different title. ## According to The Free Press Journal, the movie has been titled Royal after much discussion. "There are three suggested titles Raja Deluxe, Ambassador, and Royal. The makers have zeroed in on the title Royal". The official confirmation is yet to be made on the same.## The report further revealed that around 50% of the shoot is completed and it will pick the pace now after Prabhas done with "Adipurush" which has been released in theaters. ## Prabhas is reportedly not charging any remuneration for doing "Royal", instead, he will share profit in the film. London, June 17 - Blockbuster Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar, who is gearing up for the release of his directorial return "Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani", will be honored at the British parliament for his contribution to the global entertainment industry, according to Variety.## Karan, who has produced and directed some of the classic Bollywood blockbusters over the years, will be honored in the presence of Lords and members of parliament on June 20 at the Palace of Westminster, where both the House of Commons and the House of Lords, the two houses of the U.K. parliament, are located.## The filmmaker has a special bond with the UK as he has filmed many of his productions (Dharma Productions) such as "Kuch Kuch Hota Hai", "Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham" and "Ae Dil Hai Mushkil" across the country. ## That's not all, Johar's films have also performed well at the UK box office, including K3G and "My Name Is Khan" which became the highest-grossing Indian films at the U.K. box office upon their releases. In 2012, the UK government appointed him as a goodwill ambassador for Visit Britain for a special campaign to attract and invite people to visit and explore the country.## On the work front, Karan will see the release of "Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani", starring Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt, on July 28 this year. Box Office: Adipurush Emerges Biggest Bollywood Opener of All-Time

Mumbai, June 17 - Pan India superstar Prabhas's magnum opus Adipurush, directed by Om Raut, was in the full flow of its opening day at the domestic as well as overseas box office.## "Adipurush", which is technically a Bollywood production, becomes the first Bollywood movie of all time to gross over 100 crores at the domestic box office in all versions. It has beaten the opening day record of Shah Rukh Khan's "Pathaan" (68 crores) which was released in January this year. ## The movie grossed a solid approx. 102.50 crores at the domestic box office. The Telugu version led the charge with approx. 56.50 crores gross, followed by the Hindi version which accounted for approx. 44 crores gross collection. The versions remained low on the opening day and collected approx. 2 crores gross. The Hindi net collection of 37.25 crores of "Adipurush" is the 9th highest of all-time, ahead of "Sultan" and behind "Prem Ratan Dhan Payo".## At the overseas box office, "Adipurush" scored around 25 crores, pushing the total worldwide collection of the movie to 126 crores, which is the highest for Bollywood and 5th highest for an Indian movie after "RRR", "Baahubali 2", "KGF 2" and "Saaho". "Pathaan" grossed 105 crores worldwide on the opening day. ## Meanwhile, SS Rajamouli's mega-blockbuster "RRR", which was released last year, remains the biggest Indian opener of all time with 223 crores gross. It is also the biggest opener domestically with 156 crores gross. The second-best worldwide opener is again SSR's "Baahubali 2" which starred Prabhas in the lead. Actress Mrunal Thakur was roped in to play the female lead. ## The movie was officially launched on June 14, and now, the reports have revealed that title and the release date. According to Mirchi9, the romantic family drama film has been titled "Family Star". A new title "Kutumba Rao" is also in consideration, however, the chances for the same are low. ## The report further revealed that "Family Star" is aiming for Sankranthi 2024 release to cater to family audiences. If not Sankranthi, then the rumors say it may release on the Maha Shivratri occasion. Los Angeles, June 17 - DC Studios' one of the most hyped superhero movies of the recent past, DC Extended Universe's (DCEU) The Flash might have a short life at the box office after failing to grab audiences' attention to the level makers were hoping for. ## Over the last few months, the makers have been hyping "The Flash" as one of the greatest superhero movies of all time, however, when it comes to the audiences, it has shockingly received a low "B" CinemaScore which might badly hamper its box office potentials. ## "The Flash" B CinemaScore is on par with Zack Snyder's DCEU movie "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" (2016) which ended its domestic (North America) lifetime gross total at $330 million after taking the biggest opening for a DCEU movie of $166 million. ## As far as the domestic opening weekend of "The Flash" is concerned, trade is projecting a $60 million gross collection which is underwhelming. Los Angeles, June 16 - Sony Pictures has reportedly revealed the arrival date of Tom Holland-led Spider-Man 4. Since the release of "Spider-Man: No Way Home" (2021), fans are awaiting the return of Holland's web-slinger after the studio confirmed the development of, at least, one more film. ## Tom Holland recently revealed that they were working on the script but it had to stop due to the Writer's Guild of America (WGA) strike. Now, according to Deadline, Sony has set release dates for two untitled Marvel movies, November 8, 2024, and June 27, 2025. ## It is reported that Sony is planning to release "Venom 3" in October 2024, making it very likely the symbiote flick will take the November 2024 date. The second date, however, can't be confirmed as to which film it is associated with, reports say it is "Spider-Man 4". ## With the 4th installment of the Tom Holland-led franchise now in the works at Sony and Marvel Studios - although development was recently put on hold - it's very likely the Tom Holland movie will take the June 27, 2025, release date.## "Spider-Man 4" is already in the scripting stage as Tom Holland hyped it recently saying, it is "looking pretty good" with "some stuff going on" that he's "excited about". The work will resume once the strike is over and then, we might get the official confirmation about the release date soon. ## Meanwhile, the last Spider-Man movie, "No Way Home" was a huge blockbuster and grossed over $1.90 billion at the global box office and was the highest-grossing film of 2021. Adipurush Sells Over 1 Million Tickets In Advance For The Opening Day

Mumbai, June 15 - One of the most anticipated Indian films of the year, Adipurush is finally hitting big screens tomorrow in multiple languages. The movie, based on the epic Ramayana, is directed by Om Raut and stars Prabhas as Lord Rama, Kriti Sanon as Sita, and Saif Ali Khan as Raavan, among others in key roles. ## "Adipurush" is the major attempt to adapt Ramayana and it seems that the Indians are eager to experience this epic on the big screen which is clearly visible in the pre-booking. The advance booking of the movie was opened on Sunday (June 11) and since then, the response to pre-sales has been exceptional. ## The movie has sold over 1 million tickets in advance for all versions, and becomes the second Indian movie of the year to score this much sales after "Pathaan". The advance tickets sold are around 1.2 million (not counting block seats), which is the highest this year. ## The Hindi version of the movie has sold around 500K, which is short of "Brahmastra: Part 1" (600K tickets). The Telugu version has sold around 700K advance tickets and the other versions have seen low advance booking. ## "Adipurush" is expected to score 100-110 crores gross domestic opening in all versions which will be the highest this year and third biggest post the covid-19 pandemic for an India title. Mumbai, June 14 - Director Sudipto Sen's drama film The Kerala Story is nearing its end at the box office but it has done more than what was asked for. The movie has emerged as one of the biggest blockbusters of all time with its phenomenal collection. ## Starring Adah Sharma, "The Kerala Story" has crossed the 300 crores mark at the global box office, and becomes only the 2nd Bollywood movie of the year to do so. It has so far grossed approx. 302 crores, including approx. 15.50 crores overseas box office in 49 days. ## At the domestic box office, TKS grossed around 286.50 crores (including 3 crores of Telugu version) to date, which is the second biggest for a Bollywood movie this year after Shah Rukh Khan's "Pathaan". Post the covid-19 pandemic, TKS is 5th Bollywood film to breach the 300 crores mark at the worldwide box office. ## Produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah of Sunshine Pictures, TKS is made on a budget of just 15-20 crores and it is one of the rarest Indian movies ever to gross over 300 crores with such low budget. Box Office: 'Adipurush' To Emerge The Biggest Opener For An Indian Movie of 2023

Mumbai, June 15 - The stage is set for superstar Prabhas-fronted magnum opus Adipurush which releases this Friday (June 16) in multiple languages. The Om Raut's directorial has been one of the most anticipated Indian movies and it is expected to emerge as one of the biggest hits of the year. ## The advance booking of the film was opened on Sunday (June 11) in Hindi while the Telugu booking started yesterday (June 14). The response to the pre-booking has been excellent so far, especially in the Telugu version which is witnessing houseful shows across Telugu states.## As reported earlier, "Adipurush" is all set to emerge as the biggest Indian opener of the year, beating Shah Rukh Khan's "Pathaan" which scored 67 crores gross collection in all languages in January. "Adipurush" is expecting 100-110 crores gross at the domestic box office in all versions. ## The Telugu version of the movie is projected to score around 55-65 crore gross while the Hindi version, which will be key for the film's overall success, is expected to open around 35-40 crore gross number. The other versions are likely to fetch 5-10 crores on the opening day. ## Talking about the Hindi collection of "Adipurush", the advance booking trend indicates, at least, 25-30 crores net on day 1. Since the movie is the cinematic adaptation of Ramayana, the spot booking of the film should be strong due to the family audiences and this could make it an easy 30+ crores net starter in Hindi. Akshay Kumar's 'The Great Indian Rescue' Release Date Locked

Mumbai, June 14 - Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar reunites with his "Rustom" director Tinu Suresh Desai for a rescue thriller film which has been titled The Great Indian Rescue. ## The film is based on a mining engineer Jaswant Singh Gill, who rescued 64 miners at the Raniganj Coalfields in 1989. It is a detailed adaptation of the incident in which Akshay Kumar plays the role of Jaswant Singh Gill while Parineeti Chopra features as the female lead. ## On Wednesday (June 14), the makers confirmed the release date of "The Great Indian Rescue". Contrary to the rumors, the movie will be released in theaters on October 5, 2023. It will be Akshay's third release of the year, after "Selfiee" and the upcoming social comedy-drama "OMG 2" (Aug. 11). ## "The Great Indian Rescue" is produced by Vashu Bhagnani, Deepshikha Deshmukh, Jackky Bhagnani, and Ajay Kapoor under the banner of Pooja Entertainment.
