Mumbai, May 18 - Sony Pictures' Marvel computer-animated superhero film Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse release date has been preponed in India from its original June 2, 2023, release.## Directed by Joaquim Dos Santos, Kemp Powers, and Justin K. Thompson, "Across the Spider-Verse" moved by one day and will now be hitting Indian cinemas on June 1st in 10 languages, including the original English language. The reason for the preponement is unknown. ## The studio previously announced that star Indian cricketer, Shubman Gill will be the voice of Indian Spider-Man Pavitr Prabhakar in Hindi and Punjabi languages. The new trailer of the movie will be unveiled today. ## Sony Pictures India announced the new release date with a new poster. "Get ready, India! Mumbai, May 17 - The Kerala Story is not going to stop anytime soon as it continues to stay over its opening day collection despite nearing its second week. ## After becoming the second highest-grossing Bollywood movie of the year in just 12 days, the blockbuster hit scored an estimated 9-9.50 crores net collection on its second Wednesday. The movie sees a drop of just around 5% which is a remarkable hold. ## The total collection of the movie now reached around 166 crores net, including around 1.50 crores net in the dubbed Telugu version. The weekend of the film is looking to be around 94 crores with two weeks' collections nearing 175 crores net. ## The Kerala Story will cross 200 crores net collection either on its 3rd Saturday or Sunday and become only the 4th Bollywood movie post the covid-19 pandemic to breach this box office milestone. Mumbai, May 17 - Sunny Deol-fronted romantic period action drama film Gadar: Ek Prem Katha with director Anil Sharma was released in June 2001 and went on to become the highest-grossing Indian film.## Over the year, "Gadar" gained cult status with immense popularity among all age groups, and now, the makers are coming with its sequel Gadar: The Katha Continues which is gearing up for its release in August this year. It is set 20 years after the first film and will see Sunny Deol reprising his role along with Ameesha Patel, and grown-up Utkarsh Sharma. ## Now, the makers are planning to re-release "Gadar" in cinemas in a 4K version ahead of its sequel's release. According to Pinkvilla, "Gadar" will be re-released in cinema halls all across the country on June 9, which coincides with the week in which Gadar was released back in the day. ## It is said to be a proper wide re-release as it will also be released in single screens along with multiplex chains. The plan is to prepare the audience for its sequel by showing them what happened in the first part. Cannes, May 17 - Johnny Depp's first leading role in nearly three years, the French movie Jeanne du Barry got a 7-minute standing ovation at the 76th Cannes Film Festival. ## "Jeanne du Barry", in which Depp plays King Louis XV, marks the actor's first film in three years, following his long legal battles with ex-wife Amber Heard. Depp won the battle but not before losing multiple big Hollywood projects, including "Fantastic Beasts". ## During the legal tussle, many Hollywood studios parted their ways from Depp though some of them now seem to be willing to work with him. During the press conference for "Jeanne du Barry" today at Cannes, Depp was asked about how he feels about Hollywood's boycott calls against him and Depp appeared to have mixed feelings about the same. ## "Did I feel boycotted by Hollywood? You'd have to not have a pulse to feel like, 'No. None of this is happening. It's a weird joke'", he said (according to Variety). "When you're asked to resign from a film ("Fantastic Beasts 3") you're doing because of something that is merely a function of vowels and consonants floating in the air, yes you feel boycotted".## He continued, "I don't feel boycotted by Hollywood because I don't think about Hollywood. It is said that Veer was waiting for the right opportunity and after going through multiple scripts, he grabs this Akshay Kumar biggie. ## The makers were also looking for a fresh face to accompany Akshay Kumar in this big-budget entertainer and they finally locks Veer Pahariya for a parallel lead role in the film. Meanwhile, Veer has been in the news for his dating rumors with actress Janhvi Kapoor. ## The plot of "Sky Force" is said to be essentially a mentor protégé tale in which Akshay plays a senior officer and Veer is his disciple. Los Angeles, May 17 - Marvel Studios has confirmed the release date of its highly-awaited Disney Plus series Loki - Season 2 along with "Hawkeye" spinoff series Echo.## The Tom Hiddleston-fronted "Loki - Season 2" will debut its premiere episode on October 6, 2023. It will be the first Marvel Studios series that is getting its second season after the highly successful first season, which debuted in 2021. ## Season 2 of Loki, which consists of 6 episodes, will be part of Phase Five of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It is set in an MCU-adjacent world, in which the God of Mischief is a fish out of water when he lands in trouble with the bureaucratic TVA (Time Variance Authority) after absconding with the Tesseract. ## Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead have directed the show while Eric Martin serves as head writer and has written all six episodes. Tom Hiddleston reprises his role as Loki from the film series, with Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Wunmi Mosaku, Eugene Cordero, Tara Strong, Owen Wilson, Sophia Di Martino, and Jonathan Majors also starring, reprising their roles from the first season. ## Meanwhile, "Echo" will debut on November 29, 2023, and it will be the first Marvel series when all its episodes will release simultaneously. 'Fast X' Opening Day Advance Booking Status In India

Mumbai, May 17 - Hollywood films are having a good time at the Indian box office as recently released two low-profile films "John Wick: Chapter 4" and "Evil Dead Rise" emerged as surprise hits with the former went to scoring over 50 crores net collection.## Marvel Studios' "Guardians of The Galaxy Vol. 3" is also performing well and is nearing the 50 crores net mark. This momentum is expected to be continued as Universal Pictures' much-awaited Fast X, which is a bigger Hollywood IP than the aforementioned two films, is releasing next on this Thursday, May 18. ## The 10th installment of the "Fast & Furious" franchise is among the most-awaited Hollywood films, and keeping that in mind, the advance booking for the same was opened a month ago. As the release is getting nearer, the advance booking has started picking the pace and is already better than "GoTG3".## "Fast X" has sold approx. 170K advance tickets worth 4.50 crores gross for the opening day. The three national chains (PVR, INOX, and Cinepolis) have sold approx. 80K tickets and more than 50% of these tickets got booked in the last 48 hours. ## The movie has been able to clock good pre-sales which has ensured a good opening at the box office. "Fast And Furious 9: The Fast Saga", which was released during the peak of covid-19, took the opening of just 1.90 crores and went on to score around 14 crores in lifetime collection in India. ## "Fast X", which is releasing in a much better time, will look to open with a double-digit mark. As per reports, the movie would be released on around 2500 screens in India, so the double-digit opening is very much on the table, and if it gets favorable word of mouth, then it is sure to have a very good lifetime collection. Mumbai, May 16 - Blockbuster The Kerala Story has crossed the 150 crores net mark and becomes the second highest-grossing Bollywood movie of 2023 after another rock-solid day at the box office. ## On its second Tuesday, The Kerala Story sees a negligible drop of just around 5% for an estimated 9.75-10 crores net collection. This takes the total net collection to approx. 157 in just 12 days. It is now only behind Shah Rukh Khan's "Pathaan" which is miles ahead with over 500 crores net. ## As far as the gross collection is concerned, TKS will cross 200 crores at the worldwide box office by tomorrow and will become the third Bollywood movie of the year to do so. Mumbai, May 16 - It is known to everyone that Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar is doing an aerial action thriller film, titled Sky Force with Dinesh Vijan's Maddock Films and Jio Studios. ## "Sky Force", which is being co-directed by Sandeep Kelwani and Abhishek Kapur, is touted to be a true cinematic tentpole. The movie is based on true events and celebrates one of the greatest triumphs of the Indian Air Force. ## Now, according to Peepingmoon.com, Akshay has allotted 4 months to shoot the film and has already completed a short first schedule, beginning on May 9 in a Mumbai studio. It was a brief schedule where some talkie portions were filmed with Akshay and other cast members.## The report further revealed that the main schedule will begin next month and will continue through October 2023. The action-packed thriller will be shot on a massive scale across numerous air bases in Gujarat, Punjab, Rajasthan, and Assam over a four-month period. Mumbai, May 16 - Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan will no longer be a part of Farhan Akhtar's beloved action thriller franchise Don as the actor has reportedly exited the third installment. ## A few days ago, producer Ritesh Sidhwani confirmed in an interview that Farhan Akhtar has been working on the script of "Don 3" and the official announcement regarding the same will be made soon once the script is locked with Shah Rukh Khan returning to the lead. ## Now, according to Pinkvilla, SRK has exited the franchise as the script of the third installment wasn't in the line King Khan wants to do in the future. "SRK is willing to do commercial films that cater to a universal section of the audience, and Don certainly doesn't fit the bracket of cinema that he is willing to do for the coming few years", reveals the report.## SRK has reportedly conveyed his decision of leaving the franchise to the stakeholders at Excel.
