Spider-Man: Brand New Day Trailer Shatters Records With Unheard Viewership
Mumbai, March 19 - Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios' Spider-Man: Brand New Day, the fourth instalment in the Tom Holland-led superhero series, got its first official trailer recently, and it created history as expected when it comes to viewership. However, what was not expected was the viewership numbers, which went through the roof in the first 24 hours. According to Variety, the trailer of Brand New Day, which was released on Wednesday (March 18), has become the biggest trailer of all time with an unheard-of 718.6 million views in the first 24 hours. The Spidey broke the record by almost 2x margin, beating the previous record held by Marvel's Deadpool and Wolverine, which had 365 million views across social media platforms. Deadpool and Wolverine created the biggest record by beating the previous Spider-Man movie, Spider-Man: No Way Home, which had 355 million views. Both films were box office juggernauts, grossing $1.33 billion and $1.90 billion worldwide, respectively. The 718.6 million views for the Spider-Man: Brand New Day trailer are not only the highest ever in film history, but also the biggest ever trailer launch. It surpassed last year's trailer for the much-anticipated video game Grand Theft Auto VI, which pulled in 475 million views in 24 hours to become the biggest video trailer ever.
