Los Angeles, April 10 - The Keanu Reeves-fronted 4th Chapter of the John Wick franchise has continued its assault at the box office and crossed the $300 million mark globally. It is all set to become the highest-grossing film in the franchise by crossing John Wick 3. ## The spy action thriller film grossed $307 million through 3rd Sunday, including $147 million at the domestic (North America) box office. It is currently the second-biggest film in the John Wick franchise domestically, behind John Wick 3 which scored $171 million in 2019. ## Internationally, the Chad Stahelski-directed flick has been performing better as compared to the domestic market. Through 3rd Sunday, it made $159 million over 71 markets, including India where it has grossed an estimated $7 million so far.## John Wick: Chapter 4's totals are set to receive a boost in the near future, as the film is yet to be released in the South Korean and Middle Eastern markets. Earlier, the film achieved a franchise-best opening globally and also surpassed the lifetime totals worldwide of each of the first two movies in just 10 days. ## It is expected to cross John Wick 3 ($327.7 million) by next weekend to become the number 1 film in the series. It has become the highest-grossing videogame cinematic adaptation ever domestically, beating "Sonic The Hedgehog 2's" entire run of $190.90 million, in just 5 days. ## According to trade analyst Luiz Fernando, the film scored the biggest full weekend ever domestically for an animation film and 3rd biggest 3-day Easter weekend and the 2nd biggest 3-day weekend ever for an animation with $146.4 million. Call it insane or anything, Super Mario Bros. will cross the entire domestic run of Marvel Studios' "Ant-Man 3's" $213 million in just 6 days to become the biggest movie of 2023. ## Overseas, the movie grossed a gigantic $173 million over 70 markets. Japanese Anime Film 'Suzume' Creates A New Box Office Record

Tokyo, April 9 - Japanese animated fantasy adventure film Suzume has created a new box office record for an anime movie. ## Directed by Makoto Shinkai, the movie has crossed the $100 million mark (¥13.2 billion) in China, becoming the first ever Anime title to reach this landmark in a market outside Japan. It reached the $100 million mark on its 16th day after getting released on March 24 in the country.## Suzume had already become the highest-grossing Japanese film ever in China, after crossing director Shinkai's own anime blockbuster Your Name which grossed around $82 million in the country, according to Shinkai. China has been the biggest market for Suzume outside the home market Japan where it has grossed around $110 million (¥14.50 billion) so far. ## Produced by CoMix Wave Films, Suzume's worldwide gross collection is around $250 million (¥32.95 billion), including approx. $140 million internationally. Hyderabad, April 8 - Natural star Nani and Keerthy Suresh-fronted period action drama film Dasara has crossed the 100 crores gross mark at the worldwide box office, becoming the first film of Nani to reach the milestone. ## Directed by Srikanth Odela, Dasara crossed the 100 crores mark on its 8th day and has so far grossed approx. 106 crores worldwide (10 days). At the domestic box office, the movie has minted approx. 86 crores, including approx. 68 crores in Telugu states. ## Dasara was a multi-lingual release, however, it failed to create any impact other than the Telugu language in which it has so far collected approx. 80 crores gross while other languages have contributed around 6 crores gross. ## At the overseas box office, Dasara has scored around 20 crores gross so far. Los Angeles, April 8 - Star Wars movies are back, finally!## Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy has confirmed that three new Star Wars movies are officially in the works, according to The Hollywood Reporter. These films get officially announced at Star Wars Celebration Europe 2023, held in London on April 7. ## The three new films will be directed by James Mangold, Dave Filoni, and Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy. As per THR, Mangold's movie will go back to the dawn of the Jedi and would look at the origins of the Force and be set 25,000 years before any of the timelines and stories told by the movies and shows so far.## Dave Filoni's Star Wars film will focus on the New Republic, and close out the interconnected stories told in The Mandalorian, The Book of Boba Fett, Ahsoka, and other Disney+ series while a film Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy will be set after the events of Star Wars: Rise of Skywalker, and feature Daisy Ridley as Rey as she builds a new Jedi Order. ## Ridley's character, Rey, finished the 2019 movie ("Episode IX – The Rise of Skywalker") by taking on the last name of Skywalker, a nod to carrying on the legacy of Luke and Leia Skywalker as she became a fully realized Jedi.
