Jordan's directorial debut Creed III which also sees him starring in the lead role alongside Jonathan Majors and Tessa Thompson, packs a powerful punch at the domestic as well as overseas box office. ## The sports drama is set to score the biggest opening weekend for the "Creed" and "Rocky" film franchises after a super impressive $22 million opening Friday (including $5.45M in previews) at the domestic (North America) box office. It has done exceedingly well on Saturday and Sunday to put an estimated $58.6 million opening weekend.## "Creed 3" was projected to score $38 million - $40 million on opening weekend, which was still the highest in the franchise, but the phenomenal response to the movie is set to see it overcoming those pretty good projections. The audience CinemaScore of the movie is a solid A-, which is on par with DCEU's "The Batman" which was released last year. ## According to Deadline, "Creed 3" overperformed in the East and the South, however, it was strong throughout the domestic market. Moviegoer make-up was 63% guys, 55% between 18-34, and 29% between 35-54. "Creed 3" was 65% under 35, which is very similar to Creed II's 66% turnout for that crowd.## The international collection of "Creed 3" are also super solid with a $41.8 million opening weekend from 56 markets. Mumbai, March 4 - The King of romance, Shah Rukh Khan is officially the King of action as his latest blockbuster Pathaan has shattered all the existing records at the box office for a Bollywood film and that too, with ease.## The spy action thriller started its box office journey on January 25 and after 38 days, "Pathaan" is now the biggest blockbuster ever in India in a single language. It has crossed the lifetime net collection of SS Rajamouli's epic blockbuster "Baahubali 2" which scored 510.99 crores net in Hindi in 2017. ## Directed by Siddharth Anand, "Pathaan" is now the biggest Indian as well as a non-Indian movie at the domestic box office as far as the net collection is concerned. However, it is still behind "Baahubali 2" in terms of gross collection as tax rates were higher at the time of the letter's release back in 2017. ## As far as the single language is concerned, "KGF: Chapter 2" is the 3rd in the list with approx. 435 crores net in Hindi, followed by "RRR" at number 4 with approx. 428 crores net in the Telugu language, and Aamir Khan's "Dangal" which scored approx. 374 crores net in the Hindi language. ## Overall, "Pathaan" has scored approx. 530 crores net in all three versions (Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu). Chennai, March 4 - Tamil star Dhanush has another major win at the box office as his latest Tamil-Telugu blockbuster Vaathi/SIR is set to enter the 100 crores club at the global box office.## Directed by Venky Atluri, the action drama film has grossed approx. 97.50 crores worldwide, including approx. 75.50 crores at the domestic box office in 15 days. It will be breaching the 100 crores mark at the end of the 3rd weekend and will become only the second film of Dhanush to achieve the feat.## "Vaathi" (Tamil version) has done very well so far, grossing approx. 42 crores domestically while its Telugu version (Sir) is equally impressive with approx. 33.50 crores. Dhanush's Telugu market has been rising over the last couple of years and "SIR" is a perfect example of it. Los Angeles, March 5 - Marvel Studios' latest superhero flick Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania introduced Jonathan Majors as Kang the Conquerer into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Kang's one of the variants was introduced in Marvel's Disney+ "Loki" and going forward, Kang will be the center attraction of the MCU. ## The big-screen debut of Jonathan Majors as Kang brought him glowing appreciation, however, the movie got slammed by critics. "Ant-Man 3" is one of the worst-reviewed Marvel films in history with a 48% on Rotten Tomatoes, which nearly matches the record-low "Eternals" score of 47%. ## During the "Screen Talk" podcast of IndieWire, Majors reacted to the low critic scores for "Quantumania" and said that "It doesn't change how I see myself, period. It's all data". ## "They (critics) have an opinion. You always have an opinion. I'm no fool. I know these are people writing it. These aren't my Yale professors or my drama teachers. These are people who have kids and they have a perspective, they have a religious upbringing or a lack thereof. The Siddharth Anand's directorial featured a theater-shaking cameo of superstar Salman Khan's Tiger with SRK. ## The spy universe will deep dive into the next film Tiger 3. Directed by Maneesh Sharma, the blockbuster movie will have a cameo role of Shah Rukh Khan as Pathaan. The union of two of the biggest megastars in the history of Indian cinema created mass hysteria in "Pathaan" and a bigger response is expected in "Tiger 3". ## Salman's Tiger indicated in "Pathaan" that he was going on a deadly mission and that he might need Pathaan's help. Now, according to the latest reports, SRK will be shooting for a cameo role next month and has reportedly allotted 7 days for the same. ## "In Tiger 3, the director has chalked out a massive action scene set in jail (for Salman Khan & SRK). It will be a continuation of an elaborate sequence shot by Salman last year.
