Mumbai, March 1 - Telugu superstar Allu Arjun has reportedly turned down superstar Shah Rukh Khan's highly-awaited action thriller Jawan. ## A few days ago, it was reported that director Atlee approached Icon Star for a special cameo role in "Jawan". The actor too showed interest in the movie and asked the director to give him some time to take the final call. ## Despite the keen interest, the "Pushpa" actor reportedly not doing the movie, due to various reasons, and one of them is his highly-anticipated Pan India blockbuster "Pushpa - The Rule" which is currently under production. ## According to Pinkvilla, Allu Arjun couldn't say yes to the film due to his tight schedule. He has been training rigorously to get into the skin of his character for Pushpa 2 and for the next few months, he is only going to focus on it. ## "Jawan" is SRK and Atlee's maiden collaboration, and if reports are to be believed, there is a strong cameo role in the movie which requires A-Lister. However, the announcement of the third installment comes as a surprise as no one was expecting this to happen this soon. ## The trequel was announced on Wednesday (March 1) with a teaser video. Kartik will return as Rooh Baba and the video offered a glimpse of what the audience should expect from the upcoming movie. Mumbai, March 1 - Bollywood superstar Hrithik Roshan has been a part of Yash Raj Films' one of the most successful film franchises, Dhoom. Hrithik headlined the second installment of the franchise, "Dhoom 2" which was released in 2006 and became a huge blockbuster. ## Directed by Sanjay Gadhvi, "Dhoom 2" featured Hrithik as a slick thief Aryan Singh "Mr. A". During YRF's recently released Netflix docu-series "The Romantics", which is a tribute to the legacy of Yash Chopra & YRF and their cultural impact on India and Indians for the past 50 years, Hrithik talk about the popularity of "Dhoom" franchise.## Speaking about the franchise, Hrithik said that "Dhoom" is one of the biggest movie brands in the country. "Nothing of that kind had been attempted, executed, or perfected, which I think happened, you know, with each series of Dhoom it just went up a notch!", he said.## The "Krrish" star credited Aditya Chopra of Yash Raj Films for creating something very special franchise like "Dhoom". Chennai, March 1 - The blockbuster box office clash on Pongal 2023, Thalapathy Vijay's Varisu and Ajith Kumar's Thunivu have completed 50 days in theaters, a sort of achievement in the post covid-19 pandemic era. ## Released on January 11 in multiple languages, both films have turned into successful ventures for the makers, with "Varisu" emerging as a Pongal winner with a difference of close to 100 crores gross globally. Both movies bring in approx. 500 crores box office collection globally. ## Directed by Vamsi Paidipally, "Varisu" has grossed approx. 299 crores worldwide in 50 days. Domestically, the family action entertainer has generated approx. 210 crores in all languages, including approx. 175 crores in the original Tamil version. ## At the Tamil Nadu box office, the movie grossed approx. 143 crores so far, followed by approx. 26 crores in Telugu states. "Varisu" also has done pretty well overseas, grossing approx. 89 crores. It is the second highest-grossing film of Thalapathy Vijay after "Bigil" globally and turned into a superhit. ## Meanwhile, Ajith Kumar-fronted heist action thriller "Thunivu" started its journey on a strong note, matching the numbers of "Varisu" in the first few days but legged behind the letter in longevity. However, the movie has made the most of the opportunity it got in the form of the Pongal holidays. ## The H. Vinoth-directed flick has minted approx. 201 crores worldwide in 50 days, including approx. 145 crores at the domestic box office. It grossed approx. 110 crores domestically, including approx. 91 crores in Tamil Nadu in the first week before starting legging behind its competitor. ## Overall, "Thunivu" has grossed approx. 121 crores in Tamil Nadu, the highest ever for Ajith Kumar. As per the numbers circulating in the media, BB16 hit 174 million viewers and over 135 billion viewing minutes on Colors TV. ## It was the number 1 non-fiction show Hindi show in the financial year 2023. Bigg Boss season 13, which was won by the late Sidharth Shukla, is the all-time number 1 Hindi reality show. Mumbai, February 27 - Back in 2020, producer Ronnie Screwvala and Siddharth Roy Kapur came together to announce the war drama movie Pippa, starring Ishaan Khattar and Mrunal Thakur in the lead roles. ## "Airlift" director Raja Krishna Menon helmed the movie, based on the book The Burning Chaffees by Balram Singh Mehta who fought during the Indo-Pak war in 1971. Khattar has played the role of Brigadier Balram Singh Mehta.## The movie was originally announced to release in 2021, before makers postponed it to December 2, 2022, due to the covid-19 pandemic which delayed the shoot. When it was looking on track for December 2022 release, the makers postponed it again due to an unknown reason and they are yet to lock the new release date. ## The makers are eyeing only theatrical release as the film is made for the big screen. Now, according to the latest reports, "Pippa" won't be released anytime soon, and there are chances it will only release in 2024 on the silver screen. ## According to PeepingMoon, "Pippa" has returned to the editing table as the final product failed to match the criteria required to get a go-ahead from the producers. Considering it is an 85-crore project, the makers are reworking on it to make it appealing to a wider audience. ## The film takes its title from the Russian amphibious war tank called the PT-76, popularly known as Pippa. Mumbai, February 27 - Bollywood star Ranbir Kapoor is busy with the promotion of his upcoming romantic comedy "Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar which is slated to release on March 8 on the occasion of Holi.## Over the last couple of years, there have been talks about Ranbir Kapoor doing the biopics of legendary singer Kishore Kumar and cricketer Sourav Ganguly. Much to the delight of the late singer's fans, Ranbir confirmed that he indeed doing it. ## During the event, Ranbir revealed that he is a part of the Kishore Kumar biopic and has been working on it for the past 11 years. The actor added that filmmaker Anurag Basu has been writing it and hopefully, it will be his next film. ## Meanwhile, the talented actor denied the reports of him being approached for Sourav Ganguly's biopic. It was announced last year and there were reports that Ranbir would be playing the former Indian cricket captain. The actor was recently seen with Ganguly in Kolkata promoting TJMM. ## However, in the same video, Ranbir said that the cricketer is one of the living legends and that his biopic will be very special.
