Maddock Films Releases The Teaser of Varun Dhawan And Kriti Sanon's 'Bhediya'

Mumbai, September 30 - Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon team up for the second time in director Amar Kaushik's comedy horror film Bhediya. It is the third installment in producer Dinesh Vijan's horror-comedy universe after "Stree" and "Roohi". ## Meanwhile, the makers released the first look teaser of the film on September 30, and it has blockbuster written all over it. Mounted high on VFX, the one-minute teaser sets up the tempo for an urban legend to come to life. It features a small town, a community, a jungle, and a beast. By the look of the teaser, it seems the makers have hit the bull's eye with "Bhediya".## With the teaser, the makers announced that the trailer of the film will be released on October 19, coinciding with Varun Dhawan's 10 years in the Bollywood film industry. Chennai, September 30 - Maverick filmmaker Mani Ratnam's highly-anticipated epic period action film Ponniyin Selvan: I has been released in theaters today. Mounted on a big budget and scale, the movie is based on Kalki Krishnamurthy's 1955 novel of the same name. ## Produced by Madras Talkies and Lyca Productions, "PS-1" tells the story of the early life of Arulmozhivarman, who would become the great Chola emperor Rajaraja I (947–1014). Marvel Studios 'Armor Wars' Disney Plus Series Now Being Developed As A Movie

Los Angeles, September 30 - Marvel Studios has made a big change in its upcoming Armor Wars project, starring Don Cheadle.## According to The Hollywood Reporter, Marvel Studios' upcoming "Armor Wars", which was supposed to be a 6-episode series on Disney+, is now being developed as a feature film for theatrical release. ## It is said that Marvel was committed to getting the story told the right way and in that process realized that a feature was better suited for the project. Don Cheadle, who is reprising his longtime Marvel Cinematic Universe role as Colonel James "Rhodey" Rhodes, AKA War Machine, remains on board to star.## The plans to make "Armor Wars" was first announced in December 2020 by Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige. The logo of the project was revealed during the D23 Expo last month. At that time, it was going to be a Disney Plus series, but now, the plans have been changed to make it an MCU theatrical release. The title may also get changed.## This is not the first time Marvel has changed the development of a title in this way. 'Brahmastra Part One: Shiva' Becomes The Third Highest-Grossing Indian Movie of 2022

Mumbai, September 30 - Director Ayan Mukerji's Brahmastra Part One: Shiva has become the third highest-grossing Indian film during the entire covid-19 pandemic.## The fantasy action adventure film has grossed over Rs. 416 crores at the worldwide box office, crossing Kamal Haasan's mega-blockbuster Vikram's Rs. 414.43 crores gross. "Brahmastra" is already the highest-grossing Bollywood movie since Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff's "War" (2019). ## In 2022, four Indian films crossed the Rs. 400 crores mark at the box office worldwide. Yash-starrer KGF: Chapter 2 is the biggest Indian grosser with Rs. 1,207 crores, followed by SS Rajamouli's trendsetting RRR, which has so far grossed approx. Rs. 1,112 crores. "RRR" will be released in Japan next on October 21st. ## "Brahmastra", meanwhile has grossed Rs. 307 crores at the domestic box office in flat 3 weeks while overseas collection stands at approx. Rs. 109 crores. Bengaluru, September 29 - Malayalam star Fahadh Faasil will reportedly be headlining KGF producer, Hombale Films' next production. The production house teased a new big announcement today (Sept. 29) with the tagline "A race against time". ## According to LetsCinema, Hombale Films-headed by Vijay Kirgandur will announce a new film tomorrow (Sept.30) with Fahadh Faasil. Pawan Kumar, who directed the Kannada movie "U-Turn" and its Tamil-Telugu bilingual remake, will reportedly be directing Hombale's film with Fahadh. ## The studio will make the official announcement tomorrow at 10:16 AM. Fahadh, meanwhile, will next be seen in the Tamil political thriller film "Maamannan", which is currently under production. The actor will also be shooting for "Pushpa - The Rule" with Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna soon. ## Hombale Films, on the other hand, has multiple films in the pipeline, and the most-awaited of them is Prabhas-fronted "Salaar". Ponniyin Selvan - Part 1 Opening Day Box Office Prediction

Chennai, September 29 - Filmmaker Mani Ratnam returns to the direction after 4 years with the magnum opus Ponniyin Selvan. The first part of this epic period action film is scheduled to release on September 30 in multiple languages, and needless to say, there is a huge curiosity among the audience to witness the cinematic adaptation of Kalki Krishnamurthy's legendary 1955 novel of the same name. ## "Ponniyin Selvan - Part 1" is one of the biggest films ever from Tamil cinema, in terms of budget and scale. Produced by Madras Talkies, and Lyca Productions, the film has reportedly been made on a budget of approx. 500 crores for both parts (the second part will release after 6-9 months of PS1). ## The advance booking of the movie has been excellent so far with over 12 crores for all languages, including approx. 10.50 crores in Tamil alone. Among the recent Tamil films, the advance sales are currently the 4th highest after "Beast", "Valimai", and "Vikram", but is expected to finish above "Vikram" by the time the first show begins. ## "PS-1" is looking to take one of the biggest openings ever in Tamil Nadu. Going by the advance booking trend, it is expected to start over 25 crores in the home state but the number could reach 30 crores if the talks are positive which is very much expected. At the all-India level, the minimum opening of 40 crores gross is something the makers will be hoping for. ## Tamil movies have always performed strongly in the international markets, especially in the countries like Singapore, UAE, and USA. "PS-1" is already heading towards the second biggest premiere for a Tamil movie in the USA. The advance booking for the premieres is nearly $1 million and it could finish at around $1.3 million. Comparing it with the recent top Tamil movies, "PS1" is likely to score approx. 20-25 crores overseas on an opening day. ## The film stars an ensemble cast of Vikram, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Trisha, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Sobhita Dhulipala, Prabhu, R. Going by the advance booking trend, the movie is looking to open around 12-13 crores net. Since the film promises to be a mass entertainer, the single screens are expected to perform much better than the previous films, and looking at all these things, the opening of around 15-17 crores is very much on the cards.## The opening of 15+ crores of the film will largely depend on the audience's word of mouth. Most Bollywood films have failed to impress audiences lately despite the positive critics' reviews, so it will be interesting to see how moviegoers are going to take this film. Hyderabad, September 29 - Some of the all-time blockbuster Telugu movies have been re-released in theaters over the last few months for special purposes and those films got phenomenal responses from the Telugu audience in India and overseas. ## Now, as per the latest reports, plans are being made to re-release Jr. NTR action drama Aadi in cinemas on the occasion of the actor's 22 years in the Telugu film industry. The movie also stars Keerthi Chawla as the female lead.## Directed by V. V. Vinayak, "Aadi" became a huge commercial success upon its release in 2002. The movie grossed approx. 19 crores share and was the second highest-grossing Telugu movie of 2002 after Chiranjeevi's all-time blockbuster "Indra". "Aadi" was one of the few Telugu films to run over 100 days in cinemas.## It is said that the makers are planning a huge and the biggest possible re-release of the movie during the third week of November 2022 in India and overseas. It was produced by Bellamkonda Suresh. ## Meanwhile, apart from "Aadi", Chiranjeevi's "Indra", Pawan Kalyan's "Kushi", and Prabhas' "Billa" will also be re-released in theaters soon. Mumbai, September 28 - 20th Century Studios' new film in the Predator franchise, Prey has been announced to stream on Disney Plus Hotstar on October 7. The movie will be released in India two months after its original release on Hulu. ## Directed by Dan Trachtenberg, "Prey" will stream in the original English language along with Hindi in India. The film had the biggest premiere ever on Disney's Hulu platform. It was originally made for theatrical release but later Disney sent it for direct streaming release and made believed that it was a smart decision from the studio.## The development of the film, Prey, began during the production of The Predator (2018), when producer John Davis was approached by Trachtenberg and Aison, with a concept that they had been developing since 2016. The movie was always in production for direct streaming release.## "Prey" is the fifth installment of the Predator franchise and a prequel to the first four films. The story of the film revolves around Naru, a skilled Comanche warrior, who is striving to prove herself as a hunter. As per the major theater chains, the film's theatrical runtime is 2 hours and 41 minutes, and this has been confirmed by Disney (via The Hollywood Reporter).## The sequel to 2018's film is behind only Avengers: Endgame which has a runtime of 3 hours and 1 minute.
