Nani's Most Expensive Film 'Dasara' Theatrical Rights Sold For Record Price

Hyderabad, September 13 - Natural star Nani is shooting for his period action drama film Dasara, which is touted to be the most expensive film of his career. ## Directed by Srikanth Odela, "Dasara" is set against the backdrop of Telangana and Nani took the film as a challenge as he is playing an out-and-out rugged character. He is also mouthing dialogues in a Telangana accent for the first time.## "Dasara" is undoubtedly one of the most-anticipated Telugu films and it is already fetched huge offers from exhibitors for its theatrical and non-theatrical rights. Recently, it was reported that the makers of the film have sold the non-theatrical rights of the movie for 45 crores, which is the highest ever for Nani's film.## According to the latest reports, the makers have also sold the theatrical rights for a record price. While the amount is not disclosed, the Chadalavada brothers (of "Bichagadu" fame) have bought the theatrical rights of the movie and they will release the film in all areas in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. ## Produced by Sudhakar Cherukuri, "Dasara" will have a Pan India release, first for Nani, on 30 March 2023 in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam languages. Chennai, September 12 - Thalapathy Vijay will be headlining the 100th film of Super Good Films, confirmed by actor Jiiva, the son of producer R B Choudhary, who owns Super Good Films. ## Super Good Films gave a big break to the Tamil superstar in 1996's "Poove Unakkaga", a film that many consider the turning point of Vijay's career. The production house is now in the process of making its 96th film and inching towards its 100th film quickly. ## At a recent media interaction, actor Jiiva was asked whether Vijay would agree to work in its 100th film. "Definitely", the actor-producer said. "I am announcing this on stage. I believe a meeting in this regard took place only a week ago and Vijay sir has told that he would do the 100th film of Super Good Films". ## "I too have requested my dad for an opportunity to act in that film even if it means acting without pay", he said, evoking laughter. "God willing, it looks like, in all probability, it will be Vijay sir who will be playing the lead in the 100th film of Super Good Films", he added.## Thalapathy Vijay is currently shooting for his 66th film, titled "Varisu" under the director of Vamsi Paidipally. Thalapathy carries a huge loyal fan following that never disappoints the superstar whenever his film arrives. ## Thalapathy Vijay is currently shooting for his Tamil-Telugu bilingual film Varisu under the direction of Vamsi Paidipally. Needless to say, there is huge anticipation for this movie, not just among the fans but also among the film exhibitors and trade people.## Touted as an action drama film, "Varisu" makers have reportedly sold the non-theatrical rights of the movie and the reported price is approx. 120 crores. Mumbai, September 11 - Director Ayan Mukerji's fantasy action adventure movie, Brahmastra Part One: Shiva has truly set the box office on fire and topped the worldwide box office this weekend. ## The Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt-starrer grossed an estimated $27.05 million (215 crores) in its opening weekend at the worldwide box office, which was enough for it to become the number one movie during the weekend of September 9 - September 11. ## This is the first time that a Bollywood film and overall third Indian film after Thalapathy Vijay's "Master" and SS Rajamouli's "RRR" has topped the worldwide box office weekend. Anaheim, September 11 - Marvel Studios lightened up San Diego Comic-Con earlier this year with the announcement of two new Avengers movies in Marvel Cinematic Universe's Phase 6, which will kick off with the "Fantastic Four" reboot, slated for November 8, 2024. ## While announcing Studios' some of the remaining projects in Phase 5 and Phase 6, Kevin Feige revealed at D23 Expo on Saturday that the "Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania", which will kick off Phase 5 with the release on 17 February 2023, is going to be a very important film in the MCU as it directly set up the stage for "Avengers: The Kang Dynasty", which will release on May 2, 2025. ## "Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania" sees Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly's heroes return to face a new foe: Jonathon Major's Kang the Conquerer. The character first appeared in the season finale of "Loki" as He Who Remains, but will introduce his next more sinister variant in Ant-Man 3. ## Kang the Conquerer is already a big comic book character and the with the announcement of The Kang Dynasty, it has been confirmed that the character is going to make a huge impact as a prevailing villain in the MCU lineup. ## Majors' Kang is also set to appear in another Phase 5 project, "Loki" season 2, of which, footage from that project at D23 revealed Kang's impact throughout the multiverse and at the TVA. PVR CEO Dismiss Negative Information About 'Brahmastra' Box Office Collection At PVR Cinemas

Mumbai, September 11 - Director Ayan Mukerji's Brahmastra Part One: Shiva has been released in theaters and is doing phenomenal business at the box office, grossing over 150 crores worldwide in just 2 days. However, a section of people is spreading misinformation about the film's business by calling it fake. ## It was reported that PVR Cinema Chains lost 800 crores after the mixed reviews for the movie. However, the CEO of PVR, Kamal Gianchandani has dismissed such reports and even claimed that "Brahmastra" has been one of the best performing films this year in PVR Cinemas and it is only behind "KGF 2" and "RRR". ## In a series of tweets, Kamal Gianchandani cleared the misinformation about the film's box office collection. He was confused about whether it was the lack of understanding or it was done intentionally to harm the movie as some people are not happy with the film's success.## He also shared that the film's collections are on the rise and will secure terrific numbers for the opening weekend at PVR. While the film secured a first-day net figure of Rs. 8.11 cr at PVR, the day 2 numbers are approx. at 9.70 cr, which is the biggest single-day figure in the history of PVR cinema.
