Netizens Slam Filmfare For Picking Ranveer Singh Over Sidharth Malhotra For Best Actor Award

Mumbai, August 31 - The 67th Filmfare Awards winners have been announced and it has left a section of people disappointed regarding the Best Actor. Ranveer Singh, who played the role of legendary Indian cricketer Kapil Dev in "83", has been awarded the Best Actor award, however, many people believe that it was Sidharth Malhotra who deserved this honor most for "Shershaah". ## Sidharth Malhotra played the role of the Kargil war hero, Param Vir Chakra awardee Vikram Batra and his twin brother Vishal in the Vishnuvardhan-directorial film. Sidharth's performance in the film is regarded as the finest act of his career. ## The actor was nominated for the Best Actor award with Ranveer Singh (83), Dhanush (Atrangi Re), and Vicky Kaushal (Sardar Uddham), but it was Ranveer, who grabbed the honor at 67th Filmfare Awards 2022. Directed by Mithran R Jawahar, the romantic comedy-drama film has become the first for Dhanush to achieve this box office milestone. ## "Thiruchitrambalam" scored a fantastic 50.45 crores in the opening week and continues to mint money in the second week as well, taking a total net collection to 65.47 crores after 12 days. The movie has been excellent in the international markets too, grossing approx. 23 crores, for worldwide cum total to approx. 101 crores. ## The film has overtaken Dhanush's Bollywood debut film "Raanjhanaa", which was previously the highest-grossing film of his career with approx. 94 crores worldwide. However, due to the pause of Telugu films to discuss various issues, the movie couldn't go on the floors as scheduled.## According to the latest reports, the makers are finally ready to take the movie on the ground and start shooting on September 8, 2022.
