Chennai, August 24 - Legendary actor Nagarjuna Akkineni is making his Hindi film comeback after almost 19 years with the upcoming fantasy adventure film Brahmāstra: Part One – Shiva. Scheduled to release on September 9 in multiple languages, Nagarjuna is playing the role of an artist who has the power of Nandi Astra. ## Nagarjuna is companying the team of "Brahmastra" to promote the film across the country, and in this process, he along with Ranbir Kapoor and SS Rajamouli, who presents the Telugu version, promote the film in Chennai today where they interacted with the media. ## During the Chennai press meet, Nagarjuna talked about the film's potential and also revealed more about his character. "I will have the most powerful Astra with me called the Nandi Astra and it has the power of 1000 bulls", he said. ## The actor further said that "Brahmastra" is one of the best films ever made adding that "I strongly believe this film is going to be the landmark film in Indian cinema". A Live Action Disney Plus Series About 'King Kong' Is In Development

Los Angeles, August 24 - Disney Plus reportedly has set a live-action series about the origin of "King Kong". ## According to Variety, the series would be based on the original "King Kong" written by Merian C. Cooper as well as new novelizations by artist Joe DeVito produced in conjunction with Cooper's estate. It would be a serialized drama that would explore Kong's origins as well as the mysteries of his home, Skull Island. ## Variety further reports that Stephany Folsom, who developed the Amazon series "Paper Girls" for television, will write and executive produce the King Kong show with James Wan, Michael Clear, and Rob Hackett will also executive produce on behalf of Atomic Monster along with Dannie Festa for World Builder Entertainment.## The original "King Kong" film was released in 1933 and became an instant hit. The character has been used in numerous films to date, most recently in the Legendary-Warner Bros. "Godzilla vs. Kong". Netflix also has the "Skull Island" anime series on the way.## This marks the second live-action show about iconic movie monsters. Apple is currently prepping a series about Godzilla and the Titans, with Kurt Russell and his son Wyatt Russell recently announced as stars. Chennai, August 24 - Tamil star Vikram, who is on a non-stop tour across Tamil Nadu to promote his upcoming action thriller film Cobra, has expressed regret to his fans in Trichy for any discomfort that may have been caused to some of them during a pre-release event of the film.## Fondly called Chiyaan Vikram, the actor took to Twitter and wrote, "My heartfelt thanks to my dear fans who showered so much love on me during my visit to Trichy for a pre-release event of 'Cobra' that it cannot be described in words". ## Expressing regret on discomfort to his fans, Vikram said in another tweet, "At the same time, it has come to my attention that an unsavory environment prevailed for some time. Mumbai, August 24 - The teaser of the much-awaited Bollywood biggie, Vikram Vedha, the official remake of the Tamil movie of the same name, was dropped on August 24, Wednesday. The Hrithik Roshan and Saif Ali Khan-starrer gets a big boost 1 month before the release, thanks to the action-packed teaser. ## Most of the Bollywood movies post-pandemic have failed to make a very good impression through their teaser/trailers but "Vikram Vedha" seems to have changed that as it is getting anonyms positive response from the audiences which has been the biggest critic of Bollywood movies over the last one year or so. ## Directed by Pushkar–Gayathri, the film features Hrithik as gangster Vedha while Saif plays a cop named Vikram. The teaser begins with Hrithik as Vedha says "Ek Kahani Sunaye, Sir?" to Saif's Vikram. This line itself is enough to send shivers down your spine as the teaser picks up from there to start the cat and mouse game between the two. ## The 1-minute 44 seconds long promo briefly shows the confrontation between Vikram and Vedha, with Vedha especially bringing out his menacing avatar to own the teaser completely. Hyderabad, August 23 - The Telugu film industry has delivered three blockbusters in the month of August 2022 in the form of Sita Ramam, Bimbisara, and Karthikeya 2. This is probably the first time in many years that the Telugu industry has delivered three big blockbusters at the box office. ## The three aforementioned films have crossed 200 crores at the worldwide box office, the first time for Telugu movies since May this year when Mahesh Babu's "Sarkaru Vaari Paata" was released. In August, actor Nikhil Siddhartha's sensational blockbuster "Karthikeya 2" is leading the pack, scoring approx. 35% of total gross collection worldwide. ## The mystical action-adventure film has grossed 74.2 crores in 10 days, including 63.8 crores at the domestic box office. The movie opened to very good positive reviews from critics and audiences which transformed into big box office numbers. "Karthikeya 2" also becomes the highest-grossing film of Nikhil's career.## The second highest-grossing Telugu movie this month is director Hanu Raghvapudi's period romantic drama film "Sita Ramam". The Dulquer Salmaan, Mrunal Thakur, and Rashmika Mandanna-starrer has been the most loved film of the month and has grossed approx. 66 crores so far in 18 days and still going strong.## The third big Telugu blockbuster of the month is Nandamuri Kalyan Ram's time travel fantasy action film "Bimbisara". It was one of the most hyped tier-2 Telugu movies and it also performed accordingly, becoming the biggest grosser of Kalyan Ram's career. Released on the same day as "Sita Ramam", the Mallidi Vassishta-directed is a little behind the former and has grossed approx. 60 crores so far.## The combined budget of all three films is around 80 crores while their worldwide gross collection currently stands at 201 crores. Mumbai, August 23 - Bollywood action star Tiger Shroff was all set to begin the shooting of director Shashank Khaitan's romantic actioner Screw Dheela in September this year, however, the movie has now been delayed to 2023. ## According to reports, Karan Johar who is producing the film under his banner Dharma Productions wanted Tiger to allot multiple months for the film's shoot, but the actor has other films too which were announced before "Screw Dheela" and are scheduled to go on floors later this year and early next year. ## While Tiger could still have managed to find dates for Dharma's film, one movie that actually forced the studio to delay the shooting is Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff's Bade Miyan Chote Miyan. The Ali Abbas Zafar directorial has been in pre-production for a long time and is finally ready to go on floors by the end of this year or in January 2023. ## BMCM is a big-budget film that will be shot in multiple locations in India and abroad. The movie will be completed over the period of 6-7 months before getting it ready for Christmas 2023 release. Beijing, August 23 - The Sci-fi-comedy film Moon Man has brought back the China box office on track after the country announced a fresh lockdown amid the rising covid-19 cases earlier this year. It led to the number of cinemas shutting down their doors which directly affected film's box office which was booming before that. ## "Moon Man", which was released on July 29, opened to a huge $144 million nationwide over the opening weekend, the third highest weekend of the year and the highest non-holiday weekend of 2022. With strong positive reviews, the movie has just hit $400 million at the Mainland China box office. ## The strong box office performance of "Moon Man" came at a time when some cinemas are still closed or opening gradually and seating capacity limitations remained in place in others. It is directed by Zhang Chiyu, who previously directed the 2017 sports comedy hit "Never Say Die".## "Moon Man" has been one of the most anticipated Chinese films of the year and more than 1.4 million movie fans rated the film as a "want to see" on China's online ticking platforms prior to its release, according to Variety. The film has won outstanding feedback from audiences with a score of 9.4 and 9.5 on Maoyan and Taopiaopiao, respectively. ## The film tells the story of "the last human in the universe" as an astronaut finds himself stranded on the moon after an asteroid wipes out life on earth. According to Variety, the film's crew laid 200 tons of sand and gravel across a 6,000-square-meter space spanning 15 studios and built a full-scale model of a lunar base.
