How Much T-Series Paid To Secure Dhurandhar 2's Music Rights? Find Out
Mumbai, February 3 - Amid the growing interest among the fans for Dhurandhar 2, titled Dhurandhar: The Revenge, the film's music rights have caught everyone's attention. It has been confirmed that Bhushan Kumar-led T-Series has acquired the song rights of the spy action thriller, replacing Saregama from the first film. It was surprising when the music rights of Dhurandhar 2 shifted to T-Series, especially since the songs of the first film have been massively successful. The latest trade report suggests that the high price for the music rights of the sequel led to the decision, but there is no complete clarity on it yet. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}) According to the report by Bollywood Hungama, T-Series has secured a music deal of Dhurandhar 2 for 27 crores, which is almost double that of the first film, for which Saregama reportedly paid 15 crores to the makers. However, in a contrasting report, Variety India has reported that T-Series has paid a whopping 50-60 crores to grab the soundtrack of the highly anticipated film. It is said that the music deal includes four languages, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada, making it a comprehensive multi-lingual acquisition rather than a single-language music rights purchase. There is no official confirmation on the deal yet from the makers. Meanwhile, the teaser of Dhurandhar 2 dropped today, which reconfirmed the release date of March 19. While the first film was released only in Hindi, the upcoming blockbuster will also be dubbed into Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada. Stay tuned...
