Tom Cruise's Blockbuster 'Top Gun: Maverick' Races Past $700 Million At The Worldwide Box Office
Mumbai, June 12 - Tom Cruise's Top Gun: Maverick has refused to slow down at the box office and crossed the $700 million worldwide gross mark after its 3rd weekend. The worldwide collection now stands at an outstanding $747 million. ## At the domestic box office, the Top Gun sequel remained unaffected despite Jurassic World Dominion taking premium screens. It grossed an excellent $50 million in its 3rd weekend, pushing total domestic gross collection to $393 million. ## Directed by Joseph Kosinski, the Paramount/Skydance film added another $52.7M in 64 overseas markets during its third weekend. This takes the international cume to $354 million. The $747 million worldwide cume of "Top Gun 2", makes it the second-highest-grossing film of Tom Cruise's career, behind $791 million of "Mission: Impossible - Fallout". ## "Top Gun 2" is on its way to becoming the first $1 billion grosser for Tom Cruise, and the second during the covid-19 pandemic.## The film stars Tom Cruise in the title role, and Val Kilmer reprising their roles from the original movie, with the addition of the new cast including Miles Teller, Jennifer Connelly, Jon Hamm, Glen Powell, Lewis Pullman, and Ed Harris in prominent roles.## Stay tuned...
