Los Angeles, June 4 - The long legal battle between Johnny Depp and her ex-wife Amber Heard finally came to a conclusion in favor of Depp. The "Pirates of the Caribbean" actor had filed a defamation lawsuit against Heard for her 2018 Washington Post op-ed. ## The Virginia jury found that the article by Heard defamed Depp and ordered her to pay $10 million in compensatory damages. However, Amber's lawyer Elaine Bredehoft told 'Today' that the actress can't afford to pay such a huge sum to Depp. ## When asked by 'Today' if Heard would be able to afford the $10 million in damages that she's being ordered to pay, Bredehoft answered bluntly, "Oh no. Absolutely not". Bredehoft added that Depp's legal team worked to "demonise" Heard and was able to suppress "an enormous amount of evidence" in the defamation trial.## "A number of things were allowed in this court that should not have been allowed, and it caused the jury to be confused", Bredehoft added. "And the court found there, and we weren't allowed to tell the jury this, but the court found that Mr. Depp had committed at least 12 acts of domestic violence, including sexual violence against Amber".## Amber Heard has countered Depp for $100 million. While she lost most of the arguments, the jury awarded her $2 million after it found one statement by Depp defamatory against her. Los Angeles, June 4 - Marvel Studios' Disney Plus series, "Moon Knight", has scored a massive 3.7 billion viewing minutes, as per The Hollywood Reporter. ## The Oscar Isaac-fronted superhero series posted its best viewing time figures for the week of its finale. According to Nielsen's streaming rankings for the week (via THR), the six-episode "Moon Knight" racked up 715 million minutes of watch time from May 2 to 8. ## The viewing minutes of the series in its final week was the highest since its debut on March 30. The show grew in four of the five weeks after its March 30 debut, with only the smallest of dips (638 million minutes to 630 million) in its fourth week.## Among the Marvel Studios' all Disney+ series, "Moon Knight" stands in between "The Falcon and the Winter Soldier" (4.15 billion) and "Hawkeye" (3.46 billion). Tom Hiddleston's "Loki" is the most-watched Marvel series on Disney+ with 5.23 billion viewing minutes while "Hawkeye" is the least-watched with 3.46 billion. ## The full list of watch time minutes for all five Diesny+'s Marvel shows can be seen below - ## 1. During a recent interview with Pinkvilla, Kamal Haasan confirmed that his next movie is with Mahesh Narayanan, who won appreciation with Fahadh Faasil's political thriller, "Malik". ## "I have a commitment with Mr. Mahesh Narayanan. He began his career with me as a cinematographer and editor. We seem to understand each other and I have completed a script for me. Indian Box Office To Reach Over 12000 Crores In 2022: Report

Mumbai, June 3 - The Indian box office is back on track and heading towards a blockbuster finish in 2022. After the turbulent two years, the box office in India has witnessed a significant rise in 2022 as the collection in the first 5 months has already crossed the 4000 crores gross mark in India.## According to Ormax Media, a media consulting firm, the box office in India has reached the pre-covid level and even further in 2022 so far. Interactive Television (iTV), an Indian cinema advertising company, a part of GroupM India, along with Ormax Media, unveiled the 'India Is Back... At The Theatres' report. ## In the first four months, the tentpole titles like "RRR", "KGF Chapter 2", "Vikram", "Beast", and "Bheemla Nayak", along with "Gangubai Kathiawadi", and "The Kashmir Files released which helped the box office to soar exponentially. According to the Ormax Media report, box office numbers reached a whopping INR 4,002 cr within Jan-April 2022, the best–ever performance post covid. ## It was also the first time that the monthly average box office stands at more than INR 1,000 crores. These milestones have been achieved despite the impact of the third wave and 18% of cinemas still being closed since 2019. The collection largely got a boost from "KGF Chapter 2" and "RRR" with both scored approx. 1000 cr and 900 cr, respectively. ## While the first five months have been excellent for the Indian exhibition sector, the rest of the year is looking even more promising. With films like "Samrat Prithviraj", "Laal Singh Chaddha", "Brahmastra", "Vikram Vedha", and "Ram Setu", among others to release going forward, Ormax Media has estimated that the box office in 2022 could reach 12515 crores, which will be the biggest for Indian cinema to date. ## Speaking on the report, Shailesh Kapoor, Founder and CEO, Ormax Media said, "Over the last two years, when cinemas were shut due to the pandemic, many analysts were quick to write an obituary of the theatrical medium. The first four months of 2022 have proven how far removed from reality that analysis was. The theatrical medium has not only bounced back but emerged as stronger than it has been in decades. 2022 will be the biggest box office year till date, and by a good margin too". ## It is to be noted that Hindi has contributed 38% to the total collection so far, and almost 60% of this share comes from Hindi dubbed versions of South Indian films, primarily K.G.F: Chapter 2 and RRR, as per Ormax report.## Stay tuned...

Mumbai, June 3 - Superstar Shah Rukh Khan has teamed up with Tamil director Atlee for the first time for an action thriller, titled "Jawan". Amid a lot of speculation, the makers revealed the title teaser on June 3rd and also confirmed the release date. ## Shah Rukh Khan took to Twitter and shared the title teaser. He also confirmed that the movie will have a Pan-India release on June 2, 2023, in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada. It will be SRK's first Pan-India release. ## ## "Jawan" is produced by Shah Rukh Khan's own production house Red Chillies Entertainment. The shooting for the same is currently in progress. This takes the total net collection of "Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2" to Rs. 141.75 crores net in just two weeks. ## Produced by Bhushan Kumar and Murad Khetani, "Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2" has grossed approx. 35 crores at the overseas box office. It has also become Kartik Aaryan's first 200 crores worldwide grosser after it scored Rs. 202 crores through the second Thursday. The movie beat "Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety" (Rs. 156.46cr) to become the biggest hit of Kartik's career. ## "Bhool Bhulaiya 2" is the sequel to 2006's classic hit starring Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan in the leading roles. The movie was anticipated to do justice to the original movie and it has perfectly played that part by delivering big at the box office. Currently, his "War of the Worlds" (2005) is the biggest grosser for him with $234 million in North America. At the worldwide box office, the latest blockbuster has scored over $320 million through Tuesday. ## The film stars Tom Cruise as Captain Pete "Maverick" Mitchell, a test pilot, alongside Miles Teller, Jennifer Connelly, Jon Hamm, Glen Powell, Lewis Pullman, Ed Harris, and Val Kilmer.
