Filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri's "The Kashmir Files", has created a record on rating site IMDb, and becomes the first Indian or possibly worldwide to get a perfect 10 score from the 50K or above audience votes. ## IMDb is one of the most trustable sources to judge a film. "The Kashmir Files" has been in the news for the last couple of weeks and very rightly, it is getting what it deserves the most. The IMDb's score can also be felt in the box office performance of this film as it surpassed all the expectations by miles. ## The movie has had a limited release on Friday and still managed to earn over Rs. 3.50 crores. Due to the heavy demand for tickets, more shows were added on Saturday, which resulted in a massive jump of nearly 140% on the first Saturday for Rs. 8.50 crores. The magnum opus, directed by maverick filmmaker SS Rajamouli, is gearing up for the widest ever release for an Indian film on March 25 worldwide. It also stars Ram Charan, Ajay Devgn, and Alia Bhatt in prominent roles. ## After the "RRR", the "Janatha Garage" actor will reportedly be teaming up with director Buchi Babu Sana, who made his debut last year with the blockbuster "Uppena". NTR's film with Buchi Babu has been in the talks for some time now. It was supposed to be launched in February 2022, but the launch was delayed for some reason.## Now, the latest development is that the movie will be produced by Mythri Movie Makers and will reportedly be launched on April 11 this year. Hyderabad, March 12 - Prabhas' love affair with the box office continues!## It was a box office bonanza at the Indian box office on Friday when superstar and darling of the fans, Prabhas' "Radhe Shyam" shot up to the biggest opening for an Indian film in 2022. With Rs. 50.30 crores gross on the first day, "Radhe Shyam" has also become the second biggest Indian movie during the covid-19 pandemic, behind only Allu Arjun's "Pushpa - The Rise", which grossed a mighty Rs. 52.80 crores in December 2021. ## The Radha Krishna Kumar-directed, as expected, performed significantly well in the Telugu version, grossing Rs. 44.35 crores, including Rs. 37.60 crores in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. The AP/TG area-wise gross for the opening day was Rs. 25.68 crores, which is the 11th biggest of all time. It also emerged as the 3rd biggest opener in Nizam with Rs. 10.80 crores gross share.## Apart from Telugu, the second biggest market for "Radhe Shyam" was Hindi, in which it performed lower than expected. The Hindi version contributed approx. Rs. 5.50 crores gross on Friday while other versions grossed approx. 45 lakhs. On the brighter side, "Radhe Shyam", scored the 5th biggest opening day in Hindi for a South Indian movie. ## Overseas, the period romantic film spread love all over and minted approx. Rs. 15 crores on the first day, helping worldwide cume to reach a super Rs. 65.30 crores. "Radhe Shyam" has also become India's biggest worldwide opening in 2022, beating Pawan Kalyan's "Bheemla Nayak", which grossed Rs. 56 crores in February. ## The film, set in Europe of the 1970s, tells the story of Vikramaditya (Prabhas), a palmist who is conflicted between destiny and his love for Prerana (Pooja Hegde). Despite the anticipation, the movie couldn't meet expectations and opened to nearly Rs. 2.10 crores on Friday from multiplexes. By adding single screens data, it earned around 4.50 Cr Hindi net. ## On the other hand, National award-winning filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri's "The Kashmir Files" surprises at the box office. As per the early estimates, the film, based on true events, opens to Rs. 2.40 crores net from the multiplexes (including single screen, it earned around 3.30 Cr), despite the far fewer screens as compared to "Radhe Shyam". ## "The Kashmir Files", which tells the story of the exodus of Kashmiri Hindus in the early 1990s due to the Kashmir Insurgency, got a big boost towards evening and night shows from the strong word of mouth. The film has managed to touch the hearts of the audiences, and it is sure to grow further over the weekend. ## In the comparison between "Radhe Shyam" and "The Kashmir Files", the Radha Krishna Kumar-directed had 428 shows in Mumbai for the Hindi version, wherein "The Kashmir Files" had only 153 shows on the first day. There is a massive gap in the budget of two films as well. "Radhe Shyam" is made in nearly Rs. 300 crores cost while TKF cost just Rs. 20-25 crores. ## "Radhe Shyam", meanwhile, has managed to score big in the Telugu version, which can be seen as a cakewalk for Prabhas. It netted an estimated Rs. 42 crores in Telugu, which is the biggest since "Saaho" in 2019. "We were going to start this year but we were not satisfied with the screenplay. Mumbai, March 11 - Warner Bros. has preponed the release date of its upcoming fantasy film "Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore" in India. ## The third installment in the Fantastic Beasts film series was supposed to release on April 15 with the USA release, but now, it will arrive a week early on April 8 in English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu. ## The move to shift the release of the film early is understandable knowing the fact that the April second weekend will see India's one of the biggest films, "KGF - Chapter 2" hitting the big screens on April 14. The Yash-starrer is expected to grab most of the screens and it would have badly hit "Fantastic Beasts 3's" box office chances in India. ## The film, which is directed by David Yates, is set several years after the events of The Crimes of Grindelwald (2018).
