Mumbai, December 22 - Chinese film "The Battle At Lake Changjin" has shattered the box office records and becomes the first non-Hollywood film to gross $900 million at the worldwide box office. Interestingly, it is the most expensive Chinese film ever with a budget of $200 million.## "The Battle At Lake Changjin", which stars China's most-in-demand actors Wu Jing, Jackson Yee, Zhu Yawen, Li Chen, Hu Jun, and Duan Yihong, is currently the highest-grossing film worldwide in 2021. It has so far earned $902.5 million and is the only non-English film to reach the milestone.## Earlier, China's "Wolf Warrior 2" (2017) was the highest-grossing non-Hollywood film with a box office total of $870.3 million. China's "Hi, Mom" (2021) is at number 3 with $846.3 million. Mumbai, December 22 - SS Rajamouli's "RRR" is prepping itself to break box office records in India as well as worldwide. Touted to be the biggest film of the Indian cinema to date, the period action drama will be released in close to 10K theaters worldwide, which is the widest ever for an Indian film. ## The movie, starring Jr. NTR, Ram Charan, Ajay Devgn, and Alia Bhatt in prominent roles, will have the biggest release in the USA for an Indian film. It will be released in over 2212 theaters, including 1000 for Telugu, followed by 793 Hindi, 291 Tamil, 66 Malayalam, and 62 for Kannada languages. The USA will be the second biggest market for "RRR" after India. ## Earlier, SS Rajamouli's own directorial "Baahubali 2 The Conclusion" was the biggest release ever with 6500 theaters worldwide. Varun Dhawan And Janhvi Kapoor To Headline Nitesh Tiwari's Next Directorial!

Mumbai, December 21 - Filmmaker Nitesh Tiwari has reportedly signed Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor for his next directorial. The filmmaker was to direct his ambitious Ramayana trilogy next. However, the project has been said to be postponed over date issues with lead actors, Hrithik Roshan and Ranbir Kapoor, who have busy schedules throughout next year with other projects. ## According to peepingmoon.com, Nitesh Tiwari is planning a quickie before starting the Ramayana trilogy and he has roped in Varun and Janhvi for the film, which will be produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. While the details about the project are kept under wraps for now, it is believed to be a romantic entertainer. It will be Janhvi's first film with Varun Dhawan. ## It is reported that Varun Dhawan was to headline Nadiadwala's "Sanki". However, due to the covid-19 pandemic, they decided to call off that project and work on something else that's not just a masala potboiler. And that's when Nadiadwala pitched him Nitesh Tiwari's film. When Janhvi was approached, she also gave her nod immediately and everything fell into place soon. ## The yet-untitled film marks Dhawan's maiden collaboration with Dangal director and the fourth collaboration with Sajid Nadiadwala after Dishoom, Kalank, and Judwaa 2. The Nitesh Tiwari film is expected to go on floors in the first quarter of next year. After completing Tiwari's film, Varun will head to his ambitious Arun Kheterpal biopic, Ekkis with Sriram Raghavan.## Meanwhile, Varun Dhawan will also be teaming up with Rajkumar Hirani for a true-story-based slice-of-life drama, however, he is yet to sign that film. Hyderabad, December 21 - As reported earlier, power star Pawan Kalyan's "Bheemla Nayak" has officially been postponed and is out from Sankranthi 2022 race. The new release date is yet to be announced but it will most certainly be released on February 25, 2022. ## Earlier, the makers of "Bheemla Nayak" were promoting the film as Sankranthi 2022 release, but the producer's guild intervened in the issue and made the film opt for another date as it would have dented the box office potential of Pan India biggies "RRR" and "Radhe Shyam", which are slated for Jan. 7 and Jan. 14 release, respectively. ## It is said that Pawan Kalyan has agreed to the producer's guild's suggestion in the larger interest of the Telugu film industry. Directed by Saagar Chandra and written by Trivikram, the film is the official remake of the Malayalam hit, Ayyapanum Koshiyum. It also stars Rana Daggubati and Nithya Menen in key roles. ## Meanwhile, Venkatesh and Varun Tej's "F3" will now release on April 29th, 2022. It was supposed to release in Feb/March 2022. On the other hand, Mahesh Babu's "Sarkaru Vaari Paata" will be released on April 1st as scheduled (as of now). Earlier, it was originally announced for January 13, 2022, but postponed to make things easy for others films. ## Megastar Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan's "Acharya" will also be released as scheduled on February 4, 2022.
