Mumbai, September 27 - Vijay Deverakonda is going to share the screen with legendary boxer Mike Tyson in the upcoming multilingual Pan-India film, Liger. A couple of months ago, it was reported that the makers of Liger had approached the American veteran boxer to play a significant cameo. ## On Monday (September 27), makers confirmed Tyson's inclusion in this boxing action drama film. It is said that he will be seen in the climax and will play Deverakonda's mentor in this Puri Jagannath directorial. It is surely a big moment in Indian cinema when Tyson will be entertaining Indian audiences for the first time. ## Producer Karan Johar took to Twitter and made this Big announcement. Vijay Devarakonda is playing a boxer in the film and he also underwent training in mixed martial arts. Ananya Panday is the leading lady opposite Deverakonda in this film apart from Ramya Krishnan and Ronit Roy in prominent roles.## LIGER will also feature numerous foreign fighters. Currently, the film's shooting is happening in Goa where some high-octane action sequences are being canned. "BLOOD SWEAT VIOLENCE", the makers define the ongoing schedule. Yash Raj Films lead the chart with four release date announcements of its films that include "Bunty Aur Babli 2" (Nov 19, 2021), "Prithviraj" (Jan 21), "Jayeshbhai Jordaar" (Feb 25), "Shamshera" (March 18). ## However, among the number of release date announcements, fans were hoping that Yash Raj Films would also finalize the release dates of two highly-awaited films "Tiger 3" and "Pathan". There is no doubt that Salman Khan starrer "Tiger 3" and Shah Rukh Khan's comeback film "Pathan" will shatter box office records whenever they will be released. ## Salman and SRK fans may have left with disappointment, but the good news is not too far away from now on. However, one should not expect both the biggies to arrive before the second half of 2022. Since the first half of 2022 is almost booked, the latest status on both the movies is that both will debut in theaters in 2nd half of 2022, most probably in between September - December. ## "Pathan" (yet to be announced officially), marks SRK's comeback in films almost after 3 years. The Denis Villeneuve-directed gets a solid boost from the international audience ahead of its domestic debut on October 22.## "Dune" continued its spicy run in international markets and was the biggest overseas grosser of the weekend for a Hollywood pic with $26.3 million, taking its total overseas collection to a solid $77 million in just 11 days. The movie witnessed just a 32% drop from its opening weekend. ## It is to be noted that Warner Bros. had a low expectation from "Dune". However, just like Marvel's "Shang-Chi and The Legend of The Ten Rings", it won't be exaggerated to say that "Dune" has not only shattered the low box office predictions but also reaffirmed that the box office business is here to stay for a long long time. ## Among the top international markets, "Dune" is having a dream run in Russia. Mumbai, September 26 - It has been a crazy day for the movie buffs, thanks to a slate of big release date announcements from the Bollywood film industry. After waiting for more than one and a half years, the rapid countrywide vaccination and theater reopening announcement in Maharashtra lures Bollywood filmmakers to announce the release dates of their pending movies. ## On Sunday (September 26), there were as many as 16 release dates announcements of Hindi movies, and six of them are to release this year and the rest are set to hit big screens in 2022. Apart from today's five release date announcements, Akshay Kumar starrer "Sooryavanshi" will also be hitting theaters on Diwali this year, which was confirmed by director Rohit Shetty yesterday. ## Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar will once again be in action throughout the year 2022. He is arguably the busiest actor in India and going with that reputation, he might have at least six movies releasing next year, including four confirmed releases. ## The first film of Padman actor to release next year is Yash Raj Films' historical action-drama "Prithviraj". The Chandraprakash Dwivedi directed will be hitting theaters worldwide on January 21. It also stars Manushi Chhillar in her Bollywood debut along with Sanjay Dutt, Sonu Sood, Ashutosh Rana, Sakshi Tanwar, Manav Vij, and Lalit Tiwari in other important characters. ## Sajid Nadiadwala's "Bachchan Pandey", which was originally announced for January 26, 2022, has been pushed to March 4 in theaters worldwide. It stars Akshay Kumar in the lead along with Kriti Sanon, and Jacqueline Fernandez as the female leads, and Arshad Warsi in a key role. ## Raksha Bandhan, Akshay Kumar's second collaboration with Anand L Rai, will debut in theaters on August 11 during Independence Day week. The announcement came after filmmaker Rohit Shetty among others met the state CM and urged him to reopen theaters as it is the biggest market for Hindi films. ## Upon the good news, Shetty announced the release date of his long-awaited "Sooryavanshi" on Diwali this year. This actually paves the way for other filmmakers and studios to follow the suit and finalize the premiere dates of their pending films that include medium to big-budget films. ## Yash Raj Films was one of the firsts to announce the release dates of its four movies. Akshay Kumar and Manushi Chillar starrer historical drama film "Prithviraj" has been confirmed to debut in theaters on January 21, 2022. Mumbai, September 25: Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray on Saturday announced that cinema halls and drama theatres in the state will be allowed to operate from October 22 on the condition that they follow all the protocols required to prevent the spread of coronavirus.## The standard operating procedure (SOPs) regarding cinema reopening is in the works and will be issued soon. Earlier in the day, filmmaker Rohit Shetty along with Jayantilal Gada of PEN Studios, and representative of multiplex owners met chief minister Uddhav Thackeray and discussed the theater reopening status and urged him for urgent action. ## Theatres and auditoriums in Maharashtra will open after 22nd October 2021 while observing all COVID safety protocols. Los Angeles, September 25, 2021 - It took just three weeks for "Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings" to reach "Black Widow's" lifetime domestic box office numbers and a few more hours to cross it. There were a lot of doubts about the audience visiting theaters amid the pandemic, and "Shang-Chi" blown away those doubts and becomes the biggest domestic blockbuster. ## The Destin Daniel Cretton-directed superhero movie has completed its 4th weekend in the domestic market and its total collection stands at $196.5 million, after collecting another $13 million in the 4th weekend. The Simu Liu fronted pic had officially crossed its fellow Marvel movie "Black Widow's" $184.4M domestic cum on Friday and became the highest grosser Hollywood pic in North America during the 18-months of the pandemic era. ## Universal Pictures' "Fast & Furious 9 (F9)" remains the third highest-grossing movie at the domestic B.O. during the pandemic with $172.1M. However, globally, it is the top grosser Hollywood film with $716M. Warner Bros./Legendary's "Godzilla vs. Kong" is at number two with $467M globally, then Black Widow with $378.7M WW, and Shang-Chi with well over $360M around the globe. ## "Shang-Chi's" lifetime domestic box office projection is around $225 million. It has already crossed the domestic box office collection of previous Marvel movies such as Captain America ($176 million in 2011), Ant-Man ($180 million in 2015), and Thor ($181 million in 2011) along with The Incredible Hulk ($132 million in 2008). The actor is currently busy promoting his film "Love Story" co-starring Sai Pallavi, which has been released in theaters on September 24. ## Naga, however, said in a recent interview that his focus is always on Telugu, and if he gets an opportunity to work in Hindi, he will do that. Another BB OTT contestant, Pratik Sehajpal will also be entering the house after he picked the ticket of direct entry into the Bigg Boss 15 house in the finale of the digital edition of the show.## While the names of the contestants will officially be revealed by host Salman Khan during the grand premiere on 2nd October, the makers have revealed the names of a couple of more participants who will be entering the house at the mega promotional event which took place in Nagpur on Thursday (September 23). ## Bigg Boss 13 runner-up, Asim Riaz's brother Umar Riaz has also been confirmed to enter the house. Umar Riaz is a doctor by profession but aspires to be an actor. His name was also surfaced to participate in Bigg Boss season 14 but he didn't feature in the show due to some reasons. Umar went to Bigg Boss' house during the 13th season to meet Asim during the family week. ## TV actress, Donal Bisht, who is popular for her roles as Sharanya in Ek Deewaana Tha and Ishika Patel in Roop - Mard Ka Naya Swaroop, is the fifth contestant to participate in the reality show. She will be among the popular faces who will compete with others for the Bigg Boss 15 trophy. ## Starting October 2, Bigg Boss 15 will air Monday-Friday on Colors at 10:30 pm and 9:30 pm on weekends. ## Stay tuned...
