'The Batman' Spinoff Series About The Notorious Supervillian 'Penguin' In Early Development At HBO Max

Los Angeles, September 14, 2021: While fans around the world are waiting for Warner Bros' upcoming DC superhero movie "The Batman", the company's streamer platform HBO Max is developing a series about The Penguin that will be a spinoff of "The Batman" feature film. ## The series is in the early development with Lauren LeFranc is reportedly attached to write the script for the project. Colin Farrell, who plays the notorious supervillain in Robert Pattinson-led "The Batman", has also been approached to star in the spinoff series, according to variety. ## The show, which is yet to be confirmed, would supposedly delve into The Penguin aka Oswald Oz Cobblepot's rise to power in the Gotham criminal underworld. On the live-action side, the character has previously been played by actors like Burgess Meredith in the 1992 film "Batman Returns", Danny DeVito, and Robin Lord Taylor in the TV series "Gotham".## Interestingly, Penguin would be the second spinoff series from "The Batman" feature at HBO Max. The streamer is already working on police procedural spin-off series, set within the Gotham Police Department. It is part of WarnerMedia’s attempt to launch a new interconnected Batman universe across all of its platforms.## Meanwhile, "The Batman" feature film is scheduled to hit theaters in March 2022 after being delayed multiple times due to the covid-19 pandemic. The national award-winning actor has several projects already in the pipeline, still, he is signing back-to-back projects across languages. ## Earlier, in June this year, Dhanush confirmed his collaboration with National Award-Winner filmmaker Sekhar Kammula for a trilingual movie, to be shot in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi simultaneously under Sree Venkateswara Cinemas LLP production banner. It marks Dhanush's debut in Telugu. ## Apart from Sekhar Kammula's film, the actor will also be teaming up with director Venky Atluri in the production of Sithara Entertainments. Mumbai, September 14, 2021: Actors Riteish Deshmukh and Fardeen Khan, who were last seen together in "Heyy Babyy", will be reuniting after 14 years in filmmaker Sanjay Gupta's next. The film, titled "Visfot" is the official Hindi remake of the 2012 Venezuelan film "Rock Paper Scissors". ## The Sanjay Gupta production, "Visfot", will mark Fardeen Khan's comeback in movies after nearly a decade. He was last seen in Mudassar Aziz's 2010 romantic-comedy, Dulha Mil Gaya. In "Visfot", the actor will reportedly be seen playing the role of a taxi driver and an ex-drug dealer while Deshmukh will play a commercial airline pilot. ## The film is said to be revolving around Khan's character who kidnaps Deshmukh's son by mistake, which will unleash a chain of delicate events that'll be tragic for everyone involved. Taapsee Pannu is said to be the frontrunner to play the leading lady, however, she hasn't been signed as yet. Hirani has always done with scripting and has already begun recce in Punjab. Meanwhile, after completing a short schedule of Atlee's film, SRK will head abroad for a month-long schedule in October to shoot the action sequence of Pathan. Mumbai, September 13, 2021: Marvel Studios' popular and critically acclaimed superhero series, "WandaVision", which premiered on Disney Plus, scored big at the 2021 Creative Arts Emmys, presented across three ceremonies over Saturday and Sunday. ## WandaVision, which focuses on Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) and Vision (Paul Bettany), won three Emmy awards including Outstanding Fantasy/Sci-Fi Costumes, Outstanding Production Design, and Outstanding Original Music and Lyrics for 'Agatha All Along'. This is the first-ever victory for Marvel Studios at the Emmys. ## WandaVision had also earned 23 Emmy nominations, making it the highest for a limited series and second-highest for a series, overall. Meanwhile, Netflix's chess-themed drama show "The Queen's Gambit" topped with 9 awards followed by "The Mandalorian" with seven Emmys. ## Another Marvel series, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, starring Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan was nominated for five Emmy awards. T-Series & Reliance Entertainment Collaborate To Produce A Slate Of Films Worth Over INR 1000 Crores

Mumbai, September 13, 2021: In a big development, two of India's biggest production houses, T-Series and Reliance Entertainment have joined hands to produce a slate of films over the next 2-3 years. During this period, the two companies will jointly produce more than 10 films across different genres that include big-budget tentpoles as well as mid and small-budget content-rich films. ## The two studios have worked together on the music marketing front for more than 100 films. And now, they will jointly be venturing into film production and will be investing over INR 1000 crores over the course of the next 24 to 36 months. ## The extensive line-up of films is in various stages of development which includes Hindi remakes of Tamil blockbuster drama and action thrillers, a mega historic biopic, espionage thriller, courtroom drama, satire comedy, romance drama, and a film based on shocking true events, amongst others.## Given the pace of the developments, confirmed alignments with some of India’s biggest stars, four to five films will have a comfortable big-screen release worldwide, starting next year-2022. To give the audiences a larger-than-life experience, Reliance, and T-Series partnered with filmmakers like Pushkar and Gayatri, Vikramjit Singh, Mangesh Hadawale, Srijit Mukherji, and Sankalp Reddy. ## Bhushan Kumar, Chairman and Managing Director, T-Series, said in a statement, "After working on music marketing together, this collaboration has happened at the right time and this will just strengthen our ties.
