Mumbai, August 8, 2021: India finished Tokyo Olympics 2020 with a best-ever haul of 7 medals after javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra's historic gold medal win. Chopra, who is also a Subedar in the Indian Army, created history and becomes the first-ever Olympic athletics gold medalist for India. He is also the only second individual after Abhinav Bindra to win a gold medal at the Olympic games. ## It was Neeraj Chopra's debut outing in the Olympic games and make it a memorable one by throwing 87.58 meters in the final to win the gold medal. Chopra had also topped the qualification round with a breathtaking 86.59m throw and in the final, his first two throws were above 87m, which assured India's first gold medal in 13-years. ## Meanwhile, the whole nation is celebrating Chopra historic win. However, due to the tensions in the region, the filmmakers began to avoid shooting here. And now, to make J&K a shooting hub, the government is working towards it taking important steps to invite filmmakers to shoot their projects. ## In this process, Lt governer of J&K Manoj Sinha, the presence of actor Aamir Khan, filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani, and producer Mahaveer Jain launched a new Jammu & Kashmir's Film Policy-2021 in Srinagar, on Thursday (August 5). ## "I invite filmmakers from across the world to explore the beauty of J&K. At the same time, also avail a host of incentives, besides world-class facilities", Sinha said. The government has set up a single-window clearance mechanism; prepared equipment, location, and talent directories, besides offering a host of incentives for filmmakers coming to the UT.## The policy will facilitate overall growth of the film industry in the region, setting up of J&K Film Development Council, a website for talent pool and shooting destinations; development of shooting locales, infrastructure for film screening, the revival of closed cinema halls, upgrade of cinema halls, setting up of multiplexes and cinema halls, destination marketing, J&K film festival, and restoration and preservation of J&K films.## "The new policy also aims at maximizing the potential of promising local talent and creating livelihood opportunities. The policy has been drafted after consultation with experts and in-depth study of similar policies of other states/UTs. Suggestions of renowned personalities of the film industry have also been incorporated", the L-G added. ## Sinha said to assist in film shooting, they have manpower of more than 1,500 trained artists which will also provide an opportunity to the local talent. Mumbai, August 5, 2021: Farhan Akhtar's recently released "Toofan" on Amazon Prime Video and opened with mixed responses from the viewers. The actor is now gearing up for his next, which is said to be a contemporary action flick with director Ashutosh Gowariker. ## Gowariker, who is known for making intense period dramas, is looking to embrace other genres. Recently, it was revealed that he was working on his next Hindi film for Akhtar's Excel Entertainment banner. The yet-untitled film is said to be set in a forest and will see Akhtar playing the role of a forest ranger, an officer charged with the patrolling and guarding of a forest. ## The movie has been planned as a big-budget venture and will reportadly see another prominant Bollywood actor to play the villain. Farhan's father, the legendary Javed Akhtar himself is writing this film with a team of writers. The movie is expected to be announced soon and it will go on floors by the year-end. ## Akhtar's film with Gowarikar was planned to roll out in the first half of 2021. Janhvi Kapoor's Hindi Remake Of Malayalam Film 'Helen', Titled 'Mili'; Shoot Begins

Mumbai, August 5, 2021: Bollywood actress Janhvi Kapoor is doing the Hindi remake of the 2019 Malayalam film, Helen. The survival thriller has been titled, Mili, in Hindi, and it is directed by Mathukutty Xavier, who directed the original film as well. ## The Hindi remake is produced by Janhvi's father Boney Kapoor under his production banner Bayview Projects LLP. The shooting of "Mili", has already begun in Mumbai on August 4. The film tells the story of a young nurse, who wants to move to Canada but things take a turn when she mysteriously disappears.## The original film, Helen, stars Anna Ben in the title role, while Lal, Noble Babu Thomas, Aju Varghese, Rony David, and Binu Pappu appear in supporting roles. The movie received a lot of accolades and appreciation for the story and performance of the actors. ## Meanwhile, Janhvi Kapoor will also be starring in Dostana 2.
