Mumbai, July 7, 2021: Akshay Kumar released his highly-awaited music video, Filhaal 2 Mohabbat, co-starring Kriti Sanon's sister Nupur Sanon, on July 6 at 3 PM. The duo reprises their roles as Dr. Kabir Malhotra and Meher Grewal from original Filhaal, which was released in November 2019 and has raked in over a billion views on YouTube.## The video shows Akshay's character recalling his old romance with Nupur's character, feeling sad about letting her slip away, and then tailing her on a bike as she goes on a drive with her husband, played by Ammy Virk. Akshay's character is also shown to be dancing at their wedding, smiling through his tears. However, the music video meets with a tragic end as Akshay died in the accident. ## Sung by B Praak and lyrics penned by Jaani, the music video released amid the huge expectation and it lived up to the expectations. As expected, the video received a huge response from the fans, resulted in, Filhaal 2 Mohabbat becomes the most viewed Indian song on Youtube in the first 24 hours of the release. ## As per the record, Filhaal 2 gained 50.9 million views in the first 24 hours and left way behind the second-ranked, "Slowly Slowly" by Guru Randhawa, which received 38 million views in the same time. Filhaal 2 is also the most liked Indian music video with 1.9 million likes in the first 24-hours. ## Earlier, Badshah's song "Paagal" received 75 million views in 24 hours, and surpassed the viewership record of "Boy with Luv" by K-pop group BTS and American singer Halsey. However, Youtube said in a statement that Badshah's record label, Sony Music India, had purchased advertisements from Google and YouTube that embedded the video or directed fans to it in some way. ## On September 13, 2019, YouTube announced that their charts will no longer include paid advertising views. Aged 98, Dilip Kumar was credited with bringing the method style into Hindi cinema and was widely known as the "Tragedy King". ## Dilip Kumar started his acting career with Jwar Bhata in 1944 and acted in 62 films in a career that spanned over five decades. Starring in some of the all-time classic films, Kumar is widely regarded as the finest actor India has ever produced. Some of his best-known films include Aan, Daag, Devdas, Madhumati, Azaad, Mughal-e-Azam, Gunga Jamuna, Kranti, Karma, and Ram Aur Shyam.## The legendary actor was awarded the inaugural Filmfare Award for best actor in 1954 for the film "Daag" - a romantic drama film produced and directed by Amiya Chakravarty. Mumbai, July 7, 2021: Vineet Jain of Junglee Pictures has acquired the life rights of Jeevajothi Santhakumar, who fought a lengthy legal battle against the dosa king, P. Rajagopal who was accused of the murder of Jeevajothi's husband Prince Santhakumar, and eventually being convicted of the crime by the Hon'ble Supreme Court.## Junglee Pictures has collaborated with the renowned screenwriter Bhavani Iyer to pen this story which traces the making of the rags-to-riches businessman, a connoisseur of food, who founded the biggest south Indian food chain that has over 100 outlets across 28 countries. It will also delve into how Rajagopal obsessively tried to take Jeevajothi, the daughter of one of his employees, as his third wife on the advice of an astrologer. ## Jeevajothi was already married to Prince Santhakumar and rejected P Rajagopal who was double her age at that time. The rejection didn't go well with the restaurant mogul, and after one attempted murder, he successfully orchestrated the murder of her husband Santhakumar. He was convicted for a 2001 murder, and began serving a life sentence in July 2019. Several days after his imprisonment, he had a heart attack and died. ## Jeevajothi Santhakumar, who is looking forward to sharing her story with the world, said to Bollywood Hungama, "I am overwhelmed and elated by Junglee Pictures’ decision to make a feature film about my legal and emotional battle with this affluent hotelier, a struggle that went on for 18 years. I am confident that seeing this story on the big screen will bring about a drastic change in the status quo of patriarchy". ## Bhavani Iyer, who also penned Raazi, collaborating with Junglee Pictures for the second time. She is excited to join Junglee Pictures again for an aspirational story of Jeevajothi Santhakumar who fought a long battle against an incredibly powerful person and has survived to tell the tale. "So in our story, one character is a true survivor, while the other is a classic example of what power and delusion can lead to. Writing this is a fabulous challenge and I am so excited to get started", Iyer said. ## The makers of the film will soon announce the star cast for this project based on a case that was covered nationwide and even internationally, for close to two decades until it finally culminated in a landmark Supreme Court judgment in 2019. Los Angeles, July 6, 2021: Hollywood filmmaker Quentin Tarantino has been a big believer in big-screen cinema. The star filmmaker and Oscar winner, who has written, directed, and produced several Hollywood films, runs his own theater, New Beverly Cinema, in Los Angeles, California. The historic movie theater recently opened its gate after almost a year. ## Now, Tarantino has announced that he has purchased Vista Theatre. It is a historic single-screen movie theater in Los Angeles, California, located in Los Feliz on the border with East Hollywood. While he showed his big belief in cinema-going, Tarantino commented during a recent episode of Dax Shepard's Armchair Expert podcast, that some of the big movie chains that have shut down due to the COVID-19 pandemic "deserved to go". ## "I never like any theater closing, but some of these exhibitors that are going, they fucking deserve to go. They've taken all the specialness out of movies anyway, some of these chains", Tarantino told Shepard (according to variety), explaining that he doesn't believe a movie theater should "recreate my living room". ## Quentin Tarantino said that those who have shut down theaters due to the pandemic will regret it as he thinks boutique cinemas "will actually thrive in this time". Announcing the purchase of Vista Cinema, with plans for it to open around Christmas, the filmmaker said that they will show new stuff in it. ## "When we opened up the New Beverly about two weeks ago, in June, we sold out every single show. And I'll announce one thing here that people don't know yet: I bought the Vista (theater). We're going to probably open it up around Christmastime. And again, the only film", Tarantino said. ## "But it won't be a revival house — we'll show new movies that come out where they give us a film print, we'll show new stuff. It's not going to be like the New Beverly, the New Beverly has its own vibe. The Vista is like a crown jewel kind of thing. So it will be the best prints, we'll show older films, but they'll be like older films where you can hold a fortnight engagement", he added. ## Talking more about Vista Theater, it opened on October 9, 1923, as a single-screen theater. In addition to screening films, the theater also showed vaudeville acts on stage. The original seating capacity in the auditorium held space for 838 seats. The owners later removed every other row to allow for increased legroom, reducing the number of seats to 400. ## The Vista is now a first run theater, meaning they screen new movies and as Tarantino said, it will remain a first-run theater, and wherever possible, they will be screening 35mm prints.## Stay tuned...

Mumbai, July 6, 2021: After Gully Boy, Bollywood's energetic stars Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt will be reuniting in a romantic-comedy film titled, Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. The movie will be directed by Karan Johar, who marks his comeback in film direction after 5 years. His last directorial film was Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan starrer, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. ## The film, Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, was supposed to be announced last year but due to the covid-19 pandemic, the makers delayed the announcement. The movie features Ranveer and Alia as Rocky and Rani, which is said to revolve around family values and love. It will be produced by Hiroo Johar, Apoorva Mehta, and Karan Johar under the banner of Dharma Productions while Ishita Moitra, Shashank Khaitan, and Sumit Roy have written the script. ## Jaya Bachchan, who has worked with Karan before in Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham and Kal Ho Na Ho, will be playing Ranveer Singh's grandmother while Shabana Azmi and Dharmendra are also coming together for the second time after Mardon Wali Baat in 1988. Nandamuri Kalyan Ram Announces His First Pan-India Movie Titled - Devil: The British Secret Agent

Hyderabad, July 5, 2021: On his 43rd birthday today, Telugu star Nandamuri Kalyan Ram announced his first Pan-India film. The actor will be starring in & as Devil, a dark mystery film directed by Naveen Medaram and produced by Abhishek Nama under the Abhishek Pictures banner. ## The film, written by Pushpa writer Srikanth Vissa, will depict an unwritten chapter from history with Nandamuri portraying a secret agent named Devil. The makers also released the first look poster of Kalyan Ram from the film, in which he can be seen in a blazer and waistcoat paired with a dhoti and he holds a short gun in his hand. ## The actor underwent a remarkable transformation to play the British Secret Agent and his dressing and look are in perfect sync with the trend in the 40s. The story dates back to 1945 and is set in the backdrop of Madras Residency Of British India. ## Harshavardhan Rameshwar scores music for the film, which will release in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, and Kannada languages. Devil is the 21st film of Kalyan Ram of his career. For his 20th film, NKR reunites with "118" director, KV Guhan. Mumbai, July 5, 2021: Bollywood's love affair with remakes is not hidden from audiences. The largest film industry in the country, Bollywood has mastered adapting films from different languages - be it regional or international, and also able to give them a Bollywood touch to lure the Hindi audiences. ## In the last one and a half-decade, Bollywood stars have done films like Ghajini, Gabbar Is Back, Force, Singham, Shubh Mangal Saavdhan, Simmba, Son of Sardaar, Wanted, Rowdy Rathore, Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani, Kabir Singh, and Baaghi, which all are remakes of Tamil and Telugu films but proved to be some of the highest grosser of its respective release years. ## Even though the Hindi filmmakers have often been criticized for the lack of fresh ideas, they continued to acquire the Hindi remakes of other languages. And it looks like they have no plan to stop adapting good films into Hindi anytime soon, even though the audience likly to invest in fresh content as the covid-19 pandemic might have made them more opinionated than before. ## Well, opinion aside, Bollywood filmmakers still believe that the Hindi audience's interest in the remake hasn't waned yet and they will watch whenever they get a chance. Keeping that in mind, Bollywood isn't hesitating to do remakes and for the record, there are at least 20+ remakes already in making in Hindi. ## Also Read - Bollywood Set To Explore Superhero Universe With Upcoming Movies## Among the most-awaited remakes, Shahid Kapoor starrer "Jersey" is completed and ready for release on Diwali this year. It is a remake of the 2019 Telugu movie of the same name starring Nani in the lead role. Ajay Devgn is also doing the Hindi version of the 2019 Tamil action thriller film, Kaithi. Ajay in association with Dil Raju also acquired the remake rights of the 2021 Telugu hit, Naandhi. ## Recently, it was revealed that Akshay Kumar's next film with Bell Bottom makers is the remake of the 2018 Tamil psychological crime thriller film, Ratsasan. Last year, John Abraham had bought the rights to the 2020 Malayalam thriller film Ayyappanum Koshiyum, in which he will also be starring alongside Abhishek Bachchan. ## Acclaimed filmmaker, S Shankar announced that he will be remaking his own 2005 Tamil film, Anniyan in Hindi with Ranveer Singh playing the lead role. The film will mark Shankar's return to Hindi films twenty years after his only Hindi directorial, Nayak (2001) that starred Anil Kapoor in the lead. Kabir Singh producer Murad Khetani of Cine1 Studios along with Endemol Shine India, and 7 Screen Studio also bought the remake rights of the 2021's biggest hit Tamil film, Master, starring Thalapathy Vijay and Vijay Sethupathy. Salman Khan is said to be starring the Hindi remake. ## There are some reports claiming that Salman Khan has bought the Hindi remake rights of Ravi Teja's upcoming film, Khiladi. Boney Kapoor is remaking the 2021 Malayalam political thriller, One along with 'Helen' with his daughter Janhavi Kapoor in the lead, followed by the 2019 Tamil film 'Comali' with his son Arjun Kapoor. ## The time and cinema viewing might have changed for others, it is still hasn't changed much for Hindi filmmakers when it comes to remakes. Mumbai, July 5, 2021: Hindi film producer, Dinesh Vijan has acquired rights of the author Anuja Chauhan's latest bestselling novel, "Club You to Death", which introduces ACP Bhavani Singh into the pantheon of compelling quirky, and unforgettable detectives in popular culture. ## The novel is about a hunky personal trainer who is found asphyxiated to death at the posh Delhi Turf Club, on the eve of the club elections. At first, it looks like a freak accident but soon, it becomes clear that one of the members of the DTC – all pickled-in-privilege Dilliwallahs – is a cold-blooded killer. ## As the capital bristles with speculation and conspiracy theories, Crime Branch veteran ACP Bhavani Singh is appointed to investigate the case.
