While there is no confirmation on when his next film release, he is making sure the list gets bigger as he looks to be signing films after films. ## The Ek Villain actor is currently shooting for Indra Kumar's slice of life comedy, Thank God, co-starring Ajay Devgn, and Rakul Preet Singh. He also has completed almost 60 percent of Mission Majnu, which is a spy thriller film being directed by Shantanu Bagchi. And now, it is said that he has signed one more film with Karan Johar's Dharma Productions. ## According to reports, Sidharth's next film with Karan is a romantic actioner as this genre has worked for the actor in his previous films. The story of the film is said to be similar to Ek Villain with a fresh touch. Alaya F To Star In The Hindi Remake Of Kannada Film U-Turn; To Be Produced By Ekta Kapoor

Mumbai, July 5, 2021: It is raining remakes in the Bollywood film industry. Having already dozens of remakes in the making, filmmaker Ekta Kapoor has locked one more Hindi remake. She will be producing the Hindi remake of the 2016 Kannada supernatural thriller film, U-Turn, which starred Shraddha Srinath in the lead role. ## The Hindi remake will be headed by Aalia Furniturewalla, who made a smashing debut with the 2020 comedy-drama film, Jawaani Jaaneman. U-Turn remake will be Alaya F's only second film that will be directed by debutante Arif Khan. The supernatural thriller film will be backed by Cult Movies, a new division launched under Ekta Kapoor's Balaji Telefilms while the shooting will commence on July 6 in Mumbai. ## Speaking about Alyay's role in the film, producer Ekta Kapoor said, "Alaya was fantastic in her debut film. There's a self-assured yet vulnerable quality to her that I believe can connect with audiences. U-Turn takes you on a ride with twists and turns galore, and provides edge-of-the-seat excitement". ## Alaya, too, is delighted about the opportunity that has come her way. The talented star kid shared that working with Ekta so early in her career is very exciting, especially since the project is so interesting. Alaya went on to add, "I feel responsible to be given the task to drive such an intriguing story". ## The plot of the film revolves around the death of motorists who break a traffic rule at a particular flyover in Bangalore and subsequent pinning down of the culprit by an intern journalist and police inspector duo. U-Turn has already been remade in multiple Indian and international languages. ## The film was remade in Malayalam in 2017 as Careful. It was later remade into a Telugu-Tamil bilingual in 2018 with Samantha Akkineni in the lead role. The film was also officially remade in Sri Lanka in Sinhala in 2019 with the same title. Mumbai, July 5, 2021: Actress Taapsee Pannu is on the film signing spree. She already has several films in the pipeline across languages in form of Dobaaraa, Looop Lapeta, Annabelle Subramaniam, Shabaash Mithu, among others. The Thappad actress has reportadly signed one more film recently with BA Pass and Section 375 director Ajay Bahl. ## While the official confirmation is yet to be made, Taapsee's film with Bahl is said to be a Hindi remake of the 2010 Spanish horror thriller, Julia's Eyes, directed by Guillem Morales. Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota actor Gulshan Devaiah has also been roped in to play one of the male leads in the film that is expected to roll out from 20th July in Nainital. ## According to reports, Taapsee will be stepping into the shoes of Belen Rueda and play a visually impaired twin sister in this mystery drama while the details of Gulshan's character have been kept under wraps. Ajay Bahl is re-writing the script with other writers keeping the Indian audience in mind, and they said to make some changes in the script. ## Taapsee will reportadly be playing the role of a woman who's suffering from degenerative eye disease in this yet-untitled thriller. Defined as a fascinating, broken-backed picture full of riveting twists and dubious psychology, the film tells the story of a woman who's slowly losing her sight whilst trying to investigate the mysterious death of her twin sister. ## Producer Pranjal Khandhdiya (Mango Purple Media Network) who's backing Taapsee's upcoming sports drama Rashmi Rocket will be producing it in association with Zee Studios. The duo even shared a picture of themselves having a laugh discussing something. While they didn't reveal why they met, their fans speculated that their meeting is going to bring them together for the first time since Khatta Meetha (2010). ## Well, those speculations are really coming true as the iconic actor-director duo is reuniting after a decade for a comedy film with emotions. Akshay and Priyadarshan have previously collaborated and gave superhit films such as Hera Pheri, Garam Masala, Bhool Bhulaiyaa, Bhagam Bhaag, De Dana Dan, and Khatta Meetha. ## According to reports, the movie was supposed to begin this year, but due to the covid-19 pandemic, it is now expected to go on floors early next year. Telangana Film Chamber Requests To Telugu Producers To Stop OTT Releases Until October

Hyderabad, July 3, 2021: Telangana film chamber of commerce has expressed concern over Telugu producers opting for the direct-to-digital release of their films amid the covid-19 pandemic. As per reports, one of the leading production houses of Telugu industry, Suresh Productions is reportadly considering its most-awaited films like Narappa, Virata Parvam, among others for direct OTT release. ## Raising concern over the latest development in the Telugu industry, the Telangana film chamber has requested the producers to stop the OTT release of their films until October. The film chamber is hopeful that theaters will be fully operational by October this year. The film chamber has warned them for a future course of action if producers continue to release their films on OTT. ## However, the chamber headed by Hon. Secretary Sunil Narang, said that "If the theaters do not open by October, you can consider OTT release". This decision has been taken keeping the larger interest of the entire Telugu Film industry, which has been hit hard by the covid-19 pandemic. ## The film chamber also appealed to the Andhra Pradesh Government to immediately make a decision about ticket rates. "The survival of theaters is at stake with such low rates. Theaters will close and many will lose employment". He was at number 23 last year and jumped to 19th position in 2021. Having already made people his fan for his roles on the big screen, the young superstar will be hosting a visual-based quiz show in his tv debut. ## Produced by Banijay Asia and ITV Studios Global Entertainment B.V, the reality show will test contestants' knowledge and visual memory. With the help of three lifelines, contestants would have to correctly answer twelve visual-based questions to walk away with the grand prize money. ## Talking about his small screen debut, Ranveer Singh said in a statement, "In my journey as an artiste, the urge to experiment and explore has been constant. Mumbai, July 2, 2021: SS Rajamouli's Baahubali film series was so successful that it inspired streaming giant Netflix to make a prequel to Baahubali - The Beginning (2015). Titled Baahubali: Before the Beginning, the Telugu languages web series is based on Anand Neelakantan's 2017 and 2020 novels The Rise of Sivagami, Chaturanga, and Queen of Mahishmathi. ## Earlier, the series was being directed by Deva Katta and Praveen Sattaru, however, Netflix reportadly scrapped the project after 80 percent of the shoot got completed as they weren't impressed with the content. The series, which follows the journey of Sivagami's rise to power in the Mahishmati kingdom, has now been re-worked with a new team. ## As per the latest development, Netflix has started pre-production work on Baahubali Before The Beginning. Jannat fame Kunal Deshmukh and The Girl On the Train fame Ribhu Dasgupta are said to be on board to direct the series. ## Punjabi actress Wamiqa Gabbi, who has also featured in the Hindi, Telugu, and Malayalam language films, will be playing the lead role of Sivagami in this periodic, replacing Mruanl Thakur. The entire script work of Baahubali Before The Beginning is completed and the shooting commences from September. The budget of the series is said to have Rs. 200 crores. ## Baahubali: Before the Beginning is said to have seen the potential of being India's answer to Game of Thrones. The first season of the show will consist of a total of 9 episodes. It is produced by SS Rajamouli and Arka Media Works with Netflix. The first season will premiere in 2022 on Netflix. The magnum opus has been planned for a grand theatrical release on October 13 this year in 5 Indian languages, and there is no change in the release date. ## Recently, RRR makers gave an official update that apart from two songs, the shoot of Jr. NTR and Ram Charan fronted has wrapped up. Now, it is said the final leg will commence from July 10 as the entire film has been planned to wrap up by the first week of August. Los Angeles, July 2, 2021: Chris Pratt returns to the screens with Amazon Prime Video's new science fiction film "The Tomorrow War". Pratt's character, Dan Forester fights aliens after being sent into a future war to save mankind from losing a global war against a deadly alien species, in this Chris McKay directorial. ## In the movie, which was supposed to debut in theaters last year, Dan Forester teams up a scientist and his alienated father to make sure a long life for his young daughter and to rewrite the planet's fate, by traveling to the year 2051. Pratt says he doesn't believe in aliens but it is the story of the film that moved him to do it. ## "There are a lot of films you would want to see in the theater. But I think this story is so good that if the script was just read to you, you'd be moved", Pratt told Variety at the movie's June 30 premiere at Banc of California Stadium in Los Angeles. ## Moving forward, Pratt will be returning as Peter Quill/Star-Lord in Marvel Studios' upcoming superhero films, Guardians of the Galaxy 3 and Thor: Love and Thunder. While the filming on Thor 4 has recently been concluded, the action star confirmed that Guardians of the Galaxy 3 starts filming later this year. ## While he was tight-lipped on what fans can expect from the ragtag, intergalactic crew's next adventure, Guardians of the Galaxy 3, the best summation of his quote was that it is going to be director James Gunn's another masterful work. Reflecting on working with Gunn and Thor 4 director Taika Waititi, Pratt described both directors as rock stars in their own way who have their own styles of working. He continued to gush over Waititi, calling him a madman and genius. ## "He is the kind of guy who can deliver an amazing movie… That's the destination", Pratt said. "The journey to getting there [is] just as fun as watching the movie. He's vibrant, he's always making the crew laugh, he's doing bits. You can't believe he's the director", he added. ## Thor: Love and Thunder, starring Chris Hemsworth as Thor, is scheduled to be released on May 6, 2022, as part of Phase Four of the MCU while Guardians of the Galaxy 3 will be hitting theaters on 5 May 2023.
