Jr. NTR To Team Up With Prashanth Neel For NTR31; Will Go On Floors After Prabhas' Salaar

Hyderabad, May 20, 2021: Last year, on Jr. NTR's birthday, K.G.F. director Prashanth Neel hinted about his collaboration with the actor for #NTR31, however, due to the covid-19 pandemic and the duo's respective projects, further proceedings on the highly anticipated association couldn't take place. But recently, Naveen Yerneni and Ravi Shankar of Mythri Movie Makers disclosed a special update on #NTR31. ## The producer duo had confirmed NTR's film with Neel and also confirmed that it will go on floors after Prabhas starrer, "Salaar" which is being directed by Neel. The movie is said to be made on a budget of around 150 crores. It will be NTR's second Pan India release after Rajamouli's "RRR", which is scheduled to release on October 13 this year. #NTR30 will release worldwide on April 29, 2022. ## On the other hand, Prashanth Neel is waiting for the release of KGF: Chapter 2 starring Yash and Sanjay Dutt in the lead roles. Ajay Devgn has announced his next production and joins hands with the producer, Siddharth Roy Kapur for a comedy-drama film, titled "Gobar". The movie will be directed by the well-known ad filmmaker Sabal Shekhawat, who debuted with the acclaimed 2013 indie "Fireflies".## The movie is inspired by the true events set during the 1990s in North India. It follows the story of an animal-loving veterinary doctor who witnesses corrupt practices in a local state hospital and decides to stand up against it.## "The story of 'Gobar!' is at once unique, relatable, and incredibly funny, as well as gripping and entertaining to the point that I'm confident it will compel people to go to the theaters. We are very clear about the impact we want to make. We want viewers to laugh, relax, perhaps think a little bit, and be entertained", Ajay Devgn said according to Variety. ## Siddharth Roy Kapur further said, "Gobar is a story that chronicles the seemingly pointless but ultimately heroic journey of a simple citizen who deals with corruption in a way that will bring on many laughs, much adventure, and ultimately a simple message about the power of the common man. Hardik Pandya And Shubman Gill Among The Gainers As BCCI Announces Annual Contract List

All-rounder Hardik Pandya has been promoted to Grade A (INR 5 Cr) from Grade B (INR 3 Cr) in the annual contract list released by BCCI on Thursday (April 15) for the time period of October 2020-September 2021. Among the top gainers, Shubman Gill and Mohammed Siraj, who played a vital role in the series win down under, have been a Grade C (INR 1 Cr) contract along with Axar Patel, who was handed his Test cap during the recently concluded series against England. ## Shardul Thakur, who made an impact in India's incredible tour Down Under, has also seen a jump and promoted to Grade B from C while Bhuvneshwar Kumar's lengthy injury and India's growing list of fast bowlers has seen him demoted to Grade B from A. The leg-spin duo of Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal have also slipped down the contract pecking order, both getting Grade C from B. The 43-year-old star will be seen playing the character of Jacob Toretto, brother of Dominic Toretto played by Vin Diesel. ## Cena will be seen performing high octane action scenes in the Justin Lin directorial which is the sequel to The Fate of the Furious (2017). He admits being aware he is getting the opportunity to be a part of a legacy body of work and adds that the franchise is not senseless action.## "I love the perspective of F9, of Dom (Dominic Toretto) having to face Jacob, his blood family. Director Shankar Hits Back At Producer Aascar Ravichandran Over 'Anniyan' Copyright Issue

A day after Ranveer Singh announced his first collaboration with renowned filmmaker S. Shankar for the Hindi remake of the 2005 Tamil movie "Anniyan", the movie got into trouble over the copyright issue. Aascar V Ravichandran, who produced the original "Anniyan", has asked Shankar to stop immediately further proceedings as he is the sole owner of the entire story rights. ## "I'm utterly shocked to know that you are likly to undertake the direction of a Hindi film by adopting the story of the movie Anniyan. You are well aware of the fact that I am the producer of the said movie Anniyan. The entire story rights were purchased by me from the writer Sujatha (alias late Rangarajan) for which the full payment was done by me to him and necessary records are also available. I am the whole and sole owner of the rights of the storyline. As such, any such adoption or remaking or copying the main plot of the said movie, without my permission, is totally illegal", the statement, shared by the producer, read. ## Ravichandran also reminded Shankar when the Robot director was under severe stress due to the failure of "BOYS", he was the one who still provided Shankar, the opportunity to direct "Anniyan", after which he regained his lost ground. He further said that despite knowing everything, how can he try to reap the accolades of his successful movie, "Anniyan", by associating himself with the Hindi remake of the same film. ## He concluded his statement by saying that "you are hereby advised to immediately stop preceding any further on the same, due to the illegal copying of the story for which the entire rights are held by me. Versatile actor, Pankaj Tripathi who hails from Bihar, has come up with an interesting idea and put forth a suggestion of creating a film-friendly set up in a village near Patna city of Bihar, where people from the Bollywood film industry can shoot for their projects. ## "A film-friendly 'mohalla' or colony is possible with a little bit of funding from the government to create a film panchayat at a well-connected village near Patna, at least on a trial basis for now. The area can hence be marked by filmmakers all across the country to shoot any urban setting scenes they need to for their film, with the maximum help in the form of a solid support system provided by the locals there", says Tripathi. ## The actor also said that the villagers can be trained to work as junior artists in the films shot there, which could be a source of income for them. ## "Locals can be a part of the crew as well as act as junior artistes in films that are shot there. We could try creating a village similar to the likes of Mawlynnong village in Meghalaya, which is known to be the cleanest village of Asia also a tourist spot. I have been to this village and it's a very fascinating place to visit", added Tripathi.## On the work front, Tripathi has several projects in the pipeline including Ranveer Singh-starrer "83", "Mimi", and "Bachchan Pandey", featuring Akshay Kumar. Shankar aims to take Anniyan to another level altogether with the help of modern VFX and state-of-the-art technology and it is the project Shankar and his team have been planning to put together for a long time now. ## The film will mark Shankar's return to Hindi films twenty years after his only Hindi directorial, Nayak (2001) that starred Anil Kapoor in the lead. Interestingly, that film was also the remake of his own Tamil political drama, Mudhalvan (1999). ## Meanwhile, Ranveer Singh is currently filming for the Rohit Shetty adaptation of Shakespeare's Comedy Of The Errors "Cirkus" in Hyderabad, and will then head to Karan Johar's next directorial which is a relationship drama co-starring Alia Bhatt. He is expected to do one more film before starting Shankar's film. The controversy over the poster of Ekta Kapoor's new web show is getting intense after National Award-winning filmmaker Sudhanshu Saria expressed his disappointment on the apology tendered by Ekta Kapoor's production house ALT Balaji following Saria's allegation of poster concept plagiarism. Saria alleged that the poster of Ekta's show "His Storyy" is similar to his 2015 film "Loev". ## Calling ALT Balaji's apology brazen, disrespectful, inconsiderate, careless, and smacks of arrogance, Sudhanshu Saria said during a video interaction with IANS that the apology has left him numbness and it knocked the wind out of me. He also expressed that the action left him angry which he could not even explain. ## On Sunday, ALT Balaji put out a statement on social media that reads, "On the 9th of April, we released a poster of 'His Storyy' and were made aware of the existence of Sudhanshu’s 'Loev' poster. The uncanny resemblance and similarity cannot be written off as a mere coincidence. It has been an oversight on part of our design team. For this, we apologize".## "We respect the creativity of every designer and would never intentionally lift their work nor disregard their talent. Thus, an apology to the artists involved in the making of this poster is warranted.
