Vijay Sethupathi Clears Why He Withdrew From Aamir Khan's Lal Singh Chaddha

Vijay Sethupathi was all set to headline in Bollywood with Aamir Khan starrer Lal Singh Chaddha which is scheduled to release on Christmas this year. However, the southern star is now no longer part of the project, and his Bollywood debut gets longer. ## It was reported that Aamir Khan offered Sethupathi an important role in his upcoming film after seeing his meritorious performances in his movies which have made a crazy fan following of him. However, the reports came as a shocker for his fans that he is not a part of Lal Singh Chaddha. It was reported that Aamir Khan had asked him to reduce weight according to the character's demand, and Vijay failed to do so, hence he was asked to back out from the movie. ## While the reason for Sethupathi backing out from the project wasn't made official until the actor himself cleared what exactly went behind the scene. Recently, in an interview, Vijay cleared the air around his relationship with Aamir Khan and why he withdrew from Lal Singh Chaddha. ## Started off by praising Khan, Sethupathi said that he is the sweetest and kindest gentleman. He further said that Aamir Khan himself flew down to a village where Vijay was shooting and narrated to him the script of LSC and offered him to do it. Vijay, who is a big admirer of Khan agreed to the movie.## However, this entire scene happened before the covid-19 pandemic arrived, and once the pandemic hit India, it halted the complete schedule of the film industry including the movies' release and shooting. Since dates became messed up, Sethupathi couldn't give suitable dates for LSC as he was busy with 5 of his projects. Hence it was all the case of a tight schedule and not of some issues with Sethupathi's weight as claimed by several sources.## "I am very comfortable with my body and my mind. Whichever project I go into, they go with me", said Sethupathi when asked about the rumor of his departure from LSC. ## Talking about Lal Singh Chaddha, it is the official Hindi remake of the classic "Forrest Gump" which starred Tom Hanks. LSC is being directed by Advait Chandan and it also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan in the female lead. The trailer of Rajkummar Rao, Janhvi Kapoor, and Varun Sharma's horror-comedy, Roohi was dropped on Tuesday (February). The 3-minute long trailer takes the viewers into the world of horror where things turned into a comedy. It gives viewers all sorts of spooky vibes and promises an out and out entertainment. ## Roohi is from the makers of the 2018's blockbuster, Stree that starred Shraddha Kapoor, and Rajkummar Rao in the lead roles. In Roohi, Janhvi Kapoor is controlled by a witch, who abducts brides during their honeymoon. Rajkummar Rao and Varun Sharma take up the responsibility to save the brides but get stuck in a forest with Roohi (Janhvi) who turns Rao's life upside down. ## The scary tuned laugh riot plot and performances by the three stars in the film will surely attract the audience to watch the film that is releasing in theaters on March 11. The Malayalam superstar, Mohanlal's upcoming movie, Drishyam 2 is all set to premiere on Amazon Prime Video on February 19. Directed by Jeethu Joseph, the suspense thriller is a sequel to the 2013 Malayalam hit Drishyam starring the megastar himself. ## However, the direct OTT release of Drishyam 2 sparked sheer criticism regarding the release of the film. The theater owners were looking at the film with a lot of hope to revive the ailing entertainment industry, but the current scenario forced the makers to skip the theatrical release to make the film available directly on Amazon Prime Video. ## Meanwhile, Mohanlal hasn't ruled out the theatrical release of Drishyam 2 after its OTT premiere on Feb 19. Anurag Kashyap And Taapsee Pannu To Reunite For A Thriller Film 'Dobaaraa'

Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap and actress Taapsee Pannu have collaborated again for a new age thriller film, titled "Dobaaraa". It will be produced by Shobha Kapoor, Ekta Kapoor, Sunir Kheterpal, and Gaurav Bose. Dobaaraa will be Kashyap and Pannu's third collaboration after 2018's hit "Manmarziyaan" and biographical drama "Saand Ki Aankh", which had Kashyap on board as producer and costarred Bhumi Pednekar. ## Watch movie announcement teaser## ## "Our vision with 'Dobara' is to bring a fresh, new story to the audience and I am very excited for it. This will be my third collaboration with Taapsee and this time the attempt is to bring an interesting new take on thrillers", Kashyap said in a statement. Taapsee said she has always enjoyed working on thrillers and with Kashyap and Ekta Kapoor behind the camera, she is all geared up for the "unique" experience.## "I have been very lucky with thriller genre in my career so far, and I always look forward to pushing the envelope under this genre. This is going to be unique more so because it’s got someone like Anurag directing it and Ekta backing it", Pannu said.## Ekta Kapoor, who is producing the movie under Cult Movies which is a new division under her Balaji Telefilms banner, said she is excited to collaborate with artists willing to push boundaries. ## "I am thrilled that Anurag is directing the first film under Cult Movies, with Taapsee in the lead.
