Amid a lot of speculation, the Arjun Reddy actor, Vijay Deverakonda has officially announced that he will be teaming up for a pan India project with one of the top directors, Sukumar who previously helmed movies like Arya, Arya 2, Nannaku Prematho, and a few more. ## The yet-untitled film will be produced by Kedar Selagamsetty and is set to release in 2022. ## Taking to Twitter, Vijay Deverakonda announced the much-awaited collaboration. While many Bollywood stars have been struggling to cope up with the covid-19 pandemic, Vikrant is one actor who gave three critically acclaimed films during this period with one more is set to release next month on Netflix. ## Aiming to take this streak to the next year, the actor said to have signed multiple films, including the Hindi remake of Lokesh Kanagaraj's 2017 action thriller Tamil hit, Maanagaram that starred Sriram Natarajan, Sundeep Kishan, and Regina Cassandra in the lead. ## As per the industry insiders, Vikrant has signed the movie and will start shooting in January next year after completing his current commitments. He will be seen reprising the role played by Sriram in the original film, of a small-town guy who comes to Chennai to attend an interview for a job in a BPO. ## The Hindi remake is said to be helmed by Santosh Sivan, who previously directed Shah Rukh Khan and Kareena Kapoor's Ashoka (2001) along with a few more. Santosh Sivan has prominently worked as Cinematographers, for which, he has won 5 National awards. ## Sivan will be returning to Hindi film direction after 12 years with this yet-untitled film that has been written by Amit Joshi and Aradhana Debnath. Shakti Kapoor Cast As Narco Officer In Sushant Singh Rajput's Film Even As Shraddha Kapoor Faces NCB Probe

While Shraddha Kapoor has been investigated by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on Saturday in a drug case linked to Sushant Singh Rajput's death, her father, Shakti Kapoor has been cast as a narcotics officer in a film based on the life of Sushant. ## Kapoor senior essays a narcotics officer in the film "Nyaay: The Justice", which is incidentally backed by Sarla A. Saraogi, whose husband Ashok M. Saraogi represents Sushant's ex-manager Shruti Modi in the ongoing investigations. ## Informing about the same, the film's lead actor Zuber K. Khan told IANS, "Aman Verma is playing an ED officer, Shakti Kapoor sir is playing narcotics officer and Sudha Chandran Ji is playing a CBI officer in the film".## Zuber plays a character called Mahendra Singh, or Mahi, inspired by Sushant Singh Rajput, while Sushant's girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty's character is being played by actress Shreya Shukla as Urvashi in the movie. ## Ex-Bigg Boss contestant Somi Khan will play Sushant's ex-manager Disha Salian, who passed away on June 8, six days before the actor's death on June 14.## The shooting has been started with more characters are being included. The casting has also been almost completed which includes the characters like Ankita Lokhande, Kriti Sanon, Sara Ali Khan, his family, ex-manager Disha Salian and many more. ## The drug angle which is currently being probed by the NCB will also be seen in the film even though that angle is not being emphasized. Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput's family feels that the drug investigation in Bollywood linked to Sushant's case is overshadowing and hindering the investigation behind the real truth in the death case of Sushant. ## Representing, Sushant's family, senior advocate Vikas Singh claims that the late actor's family is also not happy with the CBI probe that hasn't issued a single statement regarding the actor's death and accused that the NCB probe is being done to divert from the main issue. ## "Why call the whole of Bollywood? There are no seizures from these people who have been called today or tomorrow. In an NDPS case, everything depends on the quantity, the family feels it is being done to divert from the main issue (death case of Sushant)", said Vikas Singh while holding a press conference on Friday (September 25).## The senior advocate further stated that media attention is being diverted from the case by calling the big stars. "CBI has not issued a single press statement regarding the probe and the direction in which the investigation is going is a little worrying for the family", Singh added.## He also alleged that over a week has passed since the CBI team probing the case landed in Delhi but they haven't met the team of doctors at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) despite claiming that one of the doctors from the AIIMS team suggested it's a murder case.## "Today we are completely helpless on the case as no one from the CBI is doing any press briefing. It is the lack of interest and the speed with which the case is going that is worrisome. One of the doctors in the team of AIIMS suggests it is 200% death by strangulation and not a suicide. This is after photos clicked by Sushant’s sister Mitu were shared with him", he said.## "If there is a case of murder then obviously the speed, tenor of the investigation will be different. No Request From Ranveer Singh To Attend Questioning Along With Deepika Padukone: NCB

The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on Friday said that it has not got any request from Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone's husband Ranveer Singh to join the probe along with his wife on Saturday in a drug-related case.## An NCB official, requesting anonymity said that it has not received any request from Singh. He said, "We confirm that we have not received any such request from any summoned person. The last email received from the concerned summoned person is only regarding joining the investigation".## Deepika was summoned on Wednesday by the NCB to appear before the drug law enforcement agency in a drugs-related case after her alleged chats with her former manager Karishma Prakash came to light. Deepika was earlier asked to join the probe on Friday, however, on her request the agency asked her to depose before it on Saturday.## Today, NCB probed Rakul Preet Singh who was one of the four actresses who were summoned by NCB on Wednesday.
